ॐ नमों भगवते सुदर्शन वासुदेवाय, धन्वंतराय अमृतकलश हस्ताय, सकला भय विनाशाय, सर्व रोग निवारणाय, त्रिलोक पठाय,  त्रिलोक लोकनिथाये,  ॐ श्री महाविष्णु स्वरूपा,  ॐ श्री श्री ॐ  औषधा चक्र नारायण स्वाहा
वेद मंत्रों में देव शब्द के प्रयोग द्वारा देवताओं की सामूहिक स्तुति की गई है। रोग मुक्त शतायु जीवन की कामना के साथ उपयुक्त मंत्र अथर्ववेद एवं यजुर्वेद में है। दोनों ही वेदों में तत्संबंधी मंत्र ‘पश्येम शरदः शतम्’ से आरंभ होते हैं। 
The powder prepared from the carcass of animals such as Chitr, Bhek (frog), Kaundin Yak, Krakan (perdix sylvatika), Panch Kushth and Shatpadi (centipede) or of animals such as Uchchitang (crab), Kambali, Krakalas (lizard) with the powder of the bark of Sat Kand (Phyalis Flexuosa) or of animals such as Grah Gaulik (a small house lizard), Andhahik (a blind snake), Kra Kantak (a kind of partridge), Putikít (a stinking insect) and Gomrik combined with the juice of Bhallatak (Semecarpus Anacardium) and Valgak; the smoke caused by burning the above powders causes instantaneous death.
Any of the (above) insects may be heated with a black snake and priyangu (panic seed) and reduced to powder. This mixture, when burnt, causes instantaneous death.
The powder prepared from the roots of Dhamargav (lufta foetida) and Yatudhan mixed with the powder of the flower of Bhallatak (Semecarpus Anacardium) causes, when administered, death in the course of half a month. The root of Vyaghat (casia fistula) reduced to powder with the flower of Bhallatak (Semecarpus A nacardium) mixed with the essence of an insect, causes death in the course of a month.
As much as a Kala (16th of a Tola) to men; twice as much to mules and horses and four times as much to elephants and camels causes death in the course of a month.
The smoke caused by burning the powder of Sat Kardam, Uchchitang (crab), Kar Vir (nerium odorum), Katutumbi (a kind of bitter gourd) and fish together with the chaff of the grains of Madan and Kodrav (paspalam scrobiculatum) or with the chaff of the seeds of Hastikarn (अरण्डी, castor oil tree) and Palash (butea frondosa) destroys animal life as far as it is carried off by the wind, causes death in the course of a month.
The smoke caused by burning the powder of Putikit (a stinking insect), fish, Katutumbi (a kind of bitter gourd), the bark of Sat Kardam and Indrgop (the insect cochineal) or the powder of Putikit, Kshudraral (the resin of the plant, Shorea robusta) and Hem Vidari mixed with the powder of the hoof and horn of a goat causes blindness.
The smoke caused by burning the leaves of Putikaranj (guilandina bonducella), yellow arsenic, Realgar, the seeds of Gunj (abrus precatorius), the chaff of the seeds of red cotton, Asphot (a plant, careya arborea), Khach and the dung and urine of a cow causes blindness.
The smoke caused by burning the skin of a snake, the dung of a cow and a horse, and the head of a blind snake, causes blindness.
The smoke caused by burning the powder made of the mixture of the dung and urine of pigeons, frogs, flesh eating animals, elephants, men and boars, the chaff and powder of barley mixed with Kasis (green sulphate of iron), rice, the seeds of cotton, Kutaj (nerium antidysentericum) and Kosataki (lufta pentandra), cow's urine, the root of Bhandi (hydroeotyle asiatica), the powder of Nimb (nimba meria), Sigru (hyperanthera morunga), Phanirjak (a kind of Tulsi-Basil plant), Kshibapiluk (ripe coreya arborea) and Bhang (भाँग, a common intoxicating drug), the skin of a snake and fish and the powder of the nails and tusk of an elephant, all mixed with the chaff of Madan and Kodrav (paspalam scrobiculatum) or with the chaff of the seeds of Hastikarn (castor oil tree) and Palash (butea frondosa) causes instantaneous death wherever the smoke is carried off by the wind.
When a man who has kept his eyes secure with the application of ointment and medicinal water burns, on the occasion of the commencement of a battle and the assailing of forts, the roots of Kali (tragia involucrata), Kushth (costus), Nad (a kind of reed) and Shatavari (asperagus racemosus) or the powder of (the skin of) a snake, the tail of a peacock, Krakan (a kind of partridge) and Panch Kushth, together with the chaff as previously described or with wet or dry chaff, the smoke caused thereby destroys the eyes of all animals.
The ointment prepared by mixing the excretion of Sarik (Maina), Kapot (pigeon), Bak (crane) and Balak (a kind of small crane) with the milk of Kakshiv (hyperanthera morunga), Piluk (a species of careya arborea) and Snuhi (euphorbia) causes blindness and poisons water.
The mixture of Yavak (a kind of barley), the root of Sal (achyrantes triandria), the fruit of Madan, the leaves of Jatí (Nutmeg) and the urine of a man mixed with the powder of the root of Plaksh (fig tree) and Vidari (liquorice), as well as the essence of the decoction of Must (a kind of poison), Udumbar (glomerous fig tree) and Kodrav (paspalam scrobiculatum) or with the decoction of Hastikarn (castor oil tree) and Palash (butea frondosa) is termed the juice of Madan (madanayoga), poisons grass and water when applied to them.
The mixture of the powders of Shrangi (atis betula), Gaum Vraksh, Kant Kar (solanum xanthocarpum) and Mayur Padi, the powder of Gunj seeds, Languli (jusseina repens), Vishamulik and Ingudi (heart pea) and the powder of Kar Vir (oleander), Aksh Piluk (careya arborea), Ark plant (आक) and Mrag Maríni combined with the decoction of Madan and Kodrav or with that of Hasti Karn and Palash is termed Madan mixture, poisons grass and water when applied to them.
The smoke caused by burning the mixture of the powders of Kra Kan (a kind of partridge), Kra Kalash (lizard), Grah Gaulik (a small house lizard) and Andhahik (a blind snake) destroys the eyes and causes madness.
The smoke caused by burning the mixture of Kra Kalash and Grah Gaulik causes leprosy.
The smoke caused by burning the same mixture together with the entrails of Chitr Bhek (a kind of frog of variegated colour) and Madhu (celtis orientalis) causes gonorrhoea.
The same mixture, wet-moistened with human blood causes consumption.
The powder of Dushivish, Madan and Kodrav (paspalam scrobiculatum) destroys the tongue.
The mixture of the powder of Matrivahak, Jaluk (लीच, leech), the tail of a peacock, the eyes of a frog and Piluk (careya arborea) causes the disease known as Vishuchik.
The mixture of Panch Kushth, Kaundinyak, Raj Vraksh (cassia fistula) and Madhu Pushp (bassia latifolia) and Madhu (शहद, honey) causes fever.
The mixture prepared from the powder of the knot of the tongue of Bhaj and Nakul (mongoose) reduced to a paste with the milk of a she donkey causes both dumbness and deafness.
The proportion of a dose to bring on the desired deformities in men and animals in the course of a fortnight or a month causes both dumbness and deafness.
Mixtures become very powerful when, in the case of drugs, they are prepared by the process of decoction and in the case of animals, by the process of making powders or in all cases by the process of decoction, causes both dumbness and deafness.
Whoever is pierced by the arrow prepared from the grains of Shalmali (bombax heptaphyllum) and Vidari (liquorice) reduced to powder and mixed with the powder of Mulvat Snabh (a kind of poison) and smeared over with the blood of Chhuchhundar (छुछुंदर, musk rat) bites some ten other persons who in their turn bite others.
The mixture prepared from the flowers of Bhallatak (semecarpus anacardium), Yatudhan, Dhamar Gav (achyranthes aspera) and Ban (Sal tree) mixed with the powder of Elayachi (बड़ी इलायची, large cardamom), Kakshi (red aluminous earth), Guggulu (bdellium) and Halahal (a kind of poison) together with the blood of a goat and a man causes biting madness.
When half a Dharan of this mixture together with flour and oil cakes is thrown into water of a reservoir measuring a hundred bows in length, it vitiates the whole mass of water; all the fish swallowing or touching this mixture become poisonous and whoever drinks or touches this water will be poisoned.
No sooner does a person condemned to death pull out from the earth an alligator or iguana (Godh) which, with three or five handfuls of both red and white mustard seeds, is entered into the earth & then he dies at its sight.
An oblation of honey shall be made into the fire fetched from the house of a blacksmith; of spirituous liquor into the fire brought from the house of a vintner; of clarified butter into the fire of a sacrificer;

Of a garland into the fire kept by a sacrificer with one wife; of mustard seeds into the fire kept by an adulterous woman; of curds into the fire kept during the birth of a child; of rice-grain into the fire of a sacrificer;
Of flesh into the fire kept by a Chandal; of human flesh into the fire burning in cremation grounds; an oblation of the serum of the flesh of a goat and a man shall be made by means of a sacrificial ladle into the fire which is made of all the above fires;
Repeating the mantras addressed to the fire, an oblation of the wooden pieces of Raj Vraksh  (cassia fistula) into the same fire. This fire will unquenchably burn deluding the eyes of the enemies.
ANTIDOTES OF POISONS :: Remedies (antidotes for poison) against poisons and poisonous compounds applied by an enemy against one's own army or people are as follows :-
When the things that are meant for the king's use, inclusive of the limbs of women, as well as the things of the army are washed in the tepid water prepared from the decoction of Slesh Matki (sebesten or cordia myk), Kapi (emblica officinalis), Madanti, Dant (हाथी दाँत, ivory), Sath (Citron tree), Gojigi (gojihva, elephantophus scaber), Vish (aconitum ferox), Patali (bignonia suave olens), Bala (lida cardifolia et rombifolia), Syonak (bignonia indica), Punarnav, Shwet (andropogon aciculatum) and Tagar (tabernæmontana coronaria), mixed with Chandan (sandal) and the blood of Salvariki (jackal), removes the bad effects of poison.
The mixture prepared from the bile of Prashat (red-spotted deer), Nakul (mongoose), Neel Kanth (नील कंठ) and Godh (गोह), with charcoal powder, combined with the sprouts of Sinduv (vitex trifolia), Tagar (tabernæmontana coronaria, Varun) (teriandium indicum), Tanduliyak (amaranthus polygamus) and Sat Parv (convolvulus repens) together with Pinditak (vangueria spinosa) removes the effects of the mixture of Madan.
Among the decoctions of the roots of Srigal (bignonia indica), Vinn, Madan, Sindhuvar (vitex trifolia), Tagar (tabernæmontana coronaria) and Valli, (a creeper), any one or all mixed with milk removes, when drunk, the effects of the mixture of Madan.
The stinking oil extracted from Kaedary (vangueria spinosa) removes madness.
The mixture prepared from priyangu (panic seed) and Nakt Mal (galedupa arborea) removes leprosy, when applied through the nose.
The mixture prepared from Kushth (costus) and Lodhr (symplocus) removes consumption.
The mixture prepared from Katu Fal (glelina arborea), Dravanti (anthericum tuberosum) and Vilang (a kind of seed) removes, when applied through the nose, headache and other diseases of the head.
The application of the mixture prepared from Priyangu (panic seed), Manjishth (rubia manjit), Tagar (tabernæmontana coronaria), Laksha Ras (the juice or essence of lac) Madhuk, Haridra (turmeric) and Kshaudr (honey) to persons who have fallen senseless by being beaten by a rope, by falling into water or by eating poison or by being whipped or by falling, resuscitates them.
The proportion of a dose is as much as an Aksh to men; twice as much to cows and horses and four times as much to elephants and camels.
A round ball (mani) prepared from the above mixture and containing gold (Rukm) in its centre, removes the the effects due to any kind of poison.
A round ball (mani) prepared from the wood of Ashvath (holy fig tree) growing wound round with the plants such as Jívanti (a medicinal plant), Swet (andropogan aciculatum) the flower of Mushkak (a species of tree) and Vandak (epidendrum tesseloides), removes the effects due to any kind of poison.
The sound of trumpets painted with the above mixture destroys poison; whoever looks at a flag or banner besmeared with the above mixture will get rid of poison.
Having applied these remedies to secure the safety of himself and his army, a king should make use of poisonous smokes and other mixtures to vitiate water against his enemy.

आ मां मित्रावरुणेह रक्षतं कुलाययद्विश्वयन्मा न आ गन्।
अजकावं दुर्दृशीकं तिरो दधे मा मां पद्येन रपसा विदत्त्सरुः
हे मित्र और वरुण देव! इस लोक में आप हमारी रक्षा करें। स्थानकारी और विशेष वर्द्धमान विष हमारी ओर न आवें। अजका (कदाचित् स्तनाकृति) नामक रोग की तरह दुर्दर्शन विष विनष्ट हो जावें। छद्मगामी सर्प हमें पैरों की ध्वनि से न पहचान सकें।[ऋग्वेद 7.50.1]
Hey Mitr & Varun Dev! Protect us in this abode. Not not let the poisons affect us. Dangerous poisons like the specific poison called Ajka should vanish. Do not let the hidden-Pseudogamous snakes recognise us by the sound of our feet.
यद्विजामन्परुषि वन्दनं भुवदष्ठीवन्तौ परि कुल्फौ च देहत्।
अग्निष्टच्छोचन्नप बाधतामितो मा मां पद्येन रपसा विदत्त्सरुः
जो वन्दन नाम का विष नाना जन्मों में वृक्षादि के ग्रन्थि स्थान में उत्पन्न होता है और जो विष जानु (घुटना) और गुल्फ (पैरों की ग्रन्थि) को फुला देता है, हे दीप्तिमान अग्नि देव! हमारे इन मनुष्यों को उस विष से दूर रखें। छद्मगामी सर्प पैरों की ध्वनि द्वारा हमें जानने न पावें।[ऋग्वेद 7.50.2]
Hey radiant Agni Dev! Keep off the poison named Vandan evolved out of the trees and the other one which swell the knees and glands in the ankle from us. Keep off our folk-humans from these poisons. Pseudogamous snakes should not be able to recognise us by the sound of our feet.
यच्छल्मलौ भवति यन्नदीषु यदोषधीभ्यः परि जायते विषम्।
विश्वे देवा निरितस्तत्सुवन्तु मा मां पद्येन रपसा दिदत्त्सरुः
जो विष शाल्मली में होता है और जो नदी जल में औषधियों से उत्पन्न होता है, विश्वेदेव गण उस विष को हमसे दूर कर दें। छद्मगामी सर्प पैरों की ध्वनि द्वारा हमें जानने न पावें।[ऋग्वेद 7.50.3]
Let the Vishwedev Gan keep us off the poison produced in Shalmali tree and the herbs in the rivers. Pseudogamous snakes should not be able to recognise us by the sound of our feet.
याः प्रवतो निवत उद्वत उदन्वतीरनुदकाश्च याः। ता अस्मभ्यं पयसा पिन्वमानाः शिवा देवीरशिपदा भवन्तु सर्वा नद्यो अशिमिदा भवन्तु
जो नदियाँ प्रबल देश में जाती हैं, जो निम्न देश में जाती हैं, जो उन्नत देश में जाती हैं, जो जल युक्त और जल रहित होकर संसार को तृप्त करती हैं; वे सारी प्रकाशक नदियाँ हमारे शिपद नामक रोग का निवारण करके कल्याणकारी बनें। वे नदियाँ हमारे लिए हिंसक न हों।[ऋग्वेद 7.50.4]
The river moving strong regions, lower regions, raised regions quench the world become curing for our disease called Shipad and beneficial. These river should not be violent to us.(17.01.2024)
