It starts at the base of the hand near the Line of Fate and runs upward till it ends on the Mount of Mercury. The line of Health is known as The Line of Mercury, The Line of Hepatic & The Line of Liver as well. It represents the health and disease of the individual. It is an indicator especially of the state of the digestive apparatus, the operation of the liver and various maladies which may arise from the impairment of important function of these organs. If it is restrained till the tip of the Line of Head, it generate the power to see future-intuition (intuition, foresight), through dreams, till the Line of Heart it represent the health of the possessor and thereafter if it continues, it speaks of the trade, business, finances of the bearer.
DISTINCTION BETWEEN MERCURY, HEALTH & INTUITION LINES ::
Line of Health originates from the Life Line and move up to the Line of Heart. Its existence shows heart trouble. Defect is confirmed by the Presence of breaks, islands, cuts, bars. Dark spots etc. It's good not to have this line.
Line of Intuition starts from the Life Line and travels up to the Line of Head resulting into dreams-which foretells the future which needs interpretation by the expert. It shows that the bearer suffers from gas formation and indigestion as well. This small segment is capable to paralyses the body of the bearer. This line is generally curved-convex at the Luna, when formed completely.

Rising from the Life Line :- Most unfavourable sign, bad health.
Straight & deep: Good and sound constitution, robust health.
Composed of many small lines :- Unstable condition of general health and bad temperament owing to diseases of the liver or gall bladder, sign of restlessness and pessimism.
Chained Line :- Diseased liver and stomach.
Wavy Line :- Chronic diseases belonging to the ruling Mount.
Bars on Line :- Constant headaches.
Star on Line :- Mental disorder which might develop serious complication.
Cross on Line :- Severe agonies and sufferings from disease, in old age.
Forked in the Quadrangle and one branch touches Heart line :- Heart trouble at prime of youth.
Island on the Line :- Delicate health.
Line runs deep into the Mount of Mercury and branches rise from it :: Excellent health and great success in business.
Straight not joined with the Line of Life and with a well formed Rascette :- Longevity very well assured.
Ending with cross, a circle on Head Line :- Blindness.
Line inside triangle and a star close to it :- Blindness.
Absence of the Line :- Not bad health.
MERCURY LINE ::
(1). Starting from the Dragon's Tail-Ketu and reaches the areas of the Mercury :- (1.1). Touches the Line of Health :- One suffers from great diseases. (1.2). Moves parallel to the Line of Health :- One remains healthy.
(2). Reaches the areas of Mercury without crossing any other line :- One becomes respectable in the society and reaches heights in diplomatic affairs.
(3). Chained :- The possessor doesn't get pleasures and peace in the family.
(4). Zigzag :- The bearer suffers from jaundice.
(5). Divided into two at the end :: The bearer is impotent.

रेखा सा तद्वतो रत्नं जात्युत्कृष्टं प्रयच्छति।
बाला वृद्धस्य बालत्वं सूचनी सायतस्ततः॥
बाला वृद्धस्य बालत्वं सूचनी सायतस्ततः॥
जीवन रेखा के अन्त या फिर मणिबन्ध से शुरू होकर यह रेखा धर्म स्थान पर पहुँचती है, जो कि बुध और हृदय रेखा के नीचे का क्षेत्र है। जातक को इसके प्रभाव से उच्च कोटि के हीरे-जवाहरात प्राप्त होते हैं। इसके कारण धारक व्यक्ति बुढ़ापे में भी जवान लगता है। छूने पर यह रेखा तैलीय, नर्म और स्वर्ण के समान चमकीली होती है।
It rises from the termination of Life Line or the rascette and moves to the Dharm Sthan-region covering Upper Mars, below the Mercury and the Line of Heart. It is golden in colour and soft to touch, gives oily touch-feeling. It grants gems of highest quality to the bearer. Being a variation of the Line of Mercury it grants excellent health to the bearer who appears young in old age as well.

कन्धुस्यात्करभास्थाने धर्मस्थानसमीपतः।
This line is present over the over Dharm Sthan-junction of Upper mars & Upper Moon and moves to the Index finger. It can neither be equated with the Line of Heart not the Line of Head. More over, its of permanent nature unlike the Line of Mercury. However one with this possession will always suffer from illness, even if protected by heavenly physicians. In case of women, she will become gratified. The name drives from the Head, since this line includes the illness of the head as well.

यह रेखा धर्म स्थान-उच्च मंगल और उच्च चन्द्र की संधि, से प्रारम्भ होकर वृहस्पति की ऊँगली-तर्जनी के मूल तक जाती है। इसे हृदय रेखा या फिर मस्तिष्क रेखा नहीं समझना चाहिए। इसके प्रभाव से जातक हमेशां बीमार रहता है और स्वर्ग के चिकित्सकों के द्वारा भी उसका इलाज सम्भव नहीं है। इसे बुध या फिर स्वास्थ्य रेखा भी नहीं कहा जा सकता, क्योंकि यह एक स्थायी रेखा है, जबकि स्वास्थ्य रेखा स्थाई नहीं होती। इसके प्रभाव से स्त्रियों को लाभ पहुँच सकता है। इसको कन्धु नाम इसलिये मिला है, क्योंकि मस्तिष्क को कन्धु भी कहा जाता है। This line is present over the over Dharm Sthan-junction of Upper mars & Upper Moon and moves to the Index finger. ISLAND OVER THE MERCURY LINE :: The defective line is inauspicious.
(1). Over the line :- It means a serious illness.
(2). Over the upper portion of the line :- It denotes delicacy of throat and chest or throat and bronchial troubles.
(3). At a lower portion of the Mount of the Moon :- It means bladder and kidney troubles.
(4). Island present at the termination below the Mercury :- The bearer suffers from defective liver, which is observed only after the age of 52-53 years. If the island resembles a triangle, it will represent lung-breathing trouble.

बुध-स्वास्थ्य रेखा पर द्वीप :: दोषपूर्ण बुध रेखा अशुभ है।
(1). बुध रेखा पर द्वीप :- गंभीर रोग।
(2). बुध रेखा के ऊपरी भाग में द्वीप :- गले और छाती का नाजुक होना, साँस लेने में तकलीफ़।
(3). चंद्र के निम्न क्षेत्र में बुध रेखा द्वीप :- मूत्राशय (urinary bladder) और वृक्क गुर्दों में तकलीफ।
(4). बुध रेखा के अन्तिम सिरे पर बुध के नीचे द्वीप :- जिगर में तकलीफ, जिसका निदान 52-53 साल की उम्र में होता है। यदि द्वीप त्रिभुज जैसा लगता है तो साँस फूलने की बीमारी।
