ॐ गं गणपतये नम:।

अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।

गुणातीतं नीराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।

मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

(1). DHARNI धरणी ::

धरणी तर्जनीमूलसन्धिरेखान्तिके कृशा। 

तिर्यक् गता चोर्ध्वदेशे भूसमृद्धिप्रदा नृणाम। 
स्त्रीणां चेत् मितभाषित्वं नामार्थोSत्र परिस्फुट:॥ 

वृहस्पति की ऊँगली के सबसे नीचे के पर्व पर अंगूठे की दिशा में उपस्थित यह रेखा पतली और सीधी खड़ी होती है। यह मनुष्य को पैतृक धन-सम्पत्ति प्रदान करती है। स्त्रियों के हाथ में यह रेखा उन्हें संकोची, संयमी, सावधान, होशियार, दूरंदेश बनाती है।

DHARNI
धरणी

This thin & vertical line is found just over the junction of the palm and the index finger towards the thumb. It grants ample landed properties to the possessor. It makes women chary (cautious-careful) of talks.

(2). MECHAK मेचक :: 

निम्नरूपो मेचकः स्यात् मध्यगश्चाद्यपर्वण:। 

वामहस्त तर्जन्या: वर्णतश्चापि मेचकः॥ 

शुक्लवर्णस्तु केशांचित् लक्ष्मीवृद्धिश्च तत्फलम्। 

MECHAK
मेचक

नामार्थोपि च वर्णोक्त्या संप्रोक्त्तः पूर्वसूरिभिः॥ 

तर्जनी ऊँगली के निम्नतम पर्व पर पाई जाने वाली यह रेखा गहराई लिये हुए गहरे रंग की होती है। कभी-कभी यह रेखा सफ़ेद रंग में भी पाई जाती है। धारक की धन-संपत्ति अर्जन की सभी कोशिशें सफल होती हैं।
This line is found at the center of lowest phalange of index finger, deeply cut, dark in colour. It may be white in some cases as well. All attempts made by one to amass wealth will be successful.

MOCHIKA

मोचिका

(3). MOCHIKA मोचिका ::

मोचिका या तिर्यगूर्ध्वं तर्जनीमध्यपर्वणि। 
बन्धं मोक्षं च चौर्यादिकर्मणा बिदधात्यसौ॥
नामार्थोSत्र फ्लोकत्यैव मोचिकायाः समीरितः।  
गहराई लिये हुए यह रेखा तर्जनी ऊँगली के मध्य पर्व पर पाई जाती है। अक्सर इसका रंग गहरा होता है। यह चोरी के अपराध में बन्द कैदी की मुक्ति का मार्ग प्रशस्त करती है। कई बार इसका नीचे का हिस्सा शाखान्वित हो जाता है। 

MUCHI
मुचि 

This deeply cut line is present over the middle phalange of the index finger. Usually it is dark in colour. It envisages release from confinement caused by theft. The nether part of this line sometimes branches out sideways.
(4). MUCHI मुचि :: 
आद्यपर्वणि तर्जन्या रेखा पाश्र्वोन्मुखी क्वचित्। 
आरोग्यं कांति सौभाग्यं धनलाभादि तत्फलम्।

सैंषा दारिद्य रोगादि दु:खानां मोचनात् मुचिः॥ 
तर्जनी ऊँगली के मूल में पाई जाने वाली यह रेखा जातक को गरीबी और बीमारी से मुक्ति दिलाती है और मुचि कहलाती है। इसका झुकाब अँगूठे की ओर होता है। धारक को अच्छा स्वास्थ्य, नाम-प्रसिद्धि, खुशियाँ, और आर्थिक लाभ प्राप्त होता है। 
Its found at the base of Index finger slightly inclined towards the thumb. It grants excellent health, fame, happiness, monetary gains. Its so called because it releases one from poverty and bad health.   

(5). ASIDHNI असिद्धनी :: 

ASIIDHNI
असिद्धनी

असिद्धनी तर्जनीमूलात् ऊर्ध्वं अत्यन्तसान्निधौ।

तिर्यक् गता फलं मृत्युः अष्टाविंशे तुअसिध्नीत्यसिना वत्सरे। नाम हननस्य प्रसंगतः॥

यह रेखा वृहस्पति के क्षेत्र में शुरू होकर तीसरे पर्व तक जाती है। यह 28 साल की उम्र में तलवार से मृत्यु को इंगित करती है।

It starts in the region of Jupiter under the Index finger and mover over the 3^rd phalange in the upward direction. It denotes death at the age of 28 years by killing with a sword.

SURUCHI
सुरुचि 

(6). SURUCHI सुरुचि :: 

ऊर्ध्वं तु असिध्न्या: सुरुचिः तिर्यक् सा परुषाकृतिः। अकालमृत्युदा नाम शोभनां गत्व सूचनात्॥      

यह असिद्धनी से थोड़ा सा ऊपर शुरू होती है। यह मोटी और खड़ी हुई होगी। इसके प्रभाव से जातक की अकाल मृत्यु होती है। इसका नाम सुंदर शरीर व्यक्त करता है। 
Its found above Asidhni and is a bit thick and vertical. It represent untimely death. Its name means a beautiful body.
(7). PATI पाटी :: 

PATI
पाटी 

द्वितीयया तु तर्जन्या: संश्लिष्टा सन्धिरेखया। 
पाटी स्यात् तत्फलं शत्रों: जय: तत्संधिरेव च॥ 

पाट: संधिः समुद्दिष्ट: तद्वान् पाटीति कथ्यते। 
नाम्ना पाटी जितस्याSपि रिपोः संधिप्रसूचनात्॥  

 दूसरी संधि रेखा पर वृताकार आकृत्ति बनाती है। इसकी उपस्थिति से जातक को दुश्मनों पर विजय हासिल होती है। 

Its found encircling the second Sandhi Rekha-junction line. It grants success-victory over the enemies. This Sandhi-junction is termed as Pat Sandhi. 

(8). LUTI लुटि ::

LUTI लुटि: 

अन्तराले लुटि: तिर्यक् स्यात् पाटीसंधिरेखयोः। कृच्छ्रेण भोजनप्राप्तिः तद्वतां नाSत्र संशयः।

सदा विकृत चेष्टत्वप्रसंगात् सा  लुटि: स्मृता। 

यह रेखा द्वितीय संधि के ऊपर स्थित पाटी नामक रेखा के बीच में स्थित होती है जिसके प्रभाव से जातक को भोजन जुटाना भी मुश्किल हो जाता है। घोर दरिद्रता। 

This line runs between the Pati over the second junction. People with indication find it hard to get food-acute poverty. There is no doubt about it. 

(9). TANDU तण्डु ::

TANDU तण्डु:

ऊर्ध्वपर्वण्यूर्ध्वमुखी तर्जन्यास्तण्डुरानखम्।
तत्फलं सौख्यचिन्तादौ विशेषात् ऊर्ध्ववक्त्रता॥

तन्डुर्नन्दि स्वडुमरे मुखव्यादानएवहि।
तद्वत् तस्योर्ध्ववक्तृत्वप्रसंगात् तन्डुरुच्यते॥

तर्जनी ऊँगली के ऊपरी पर्व पर पाई जाने वाली यह रेखा नाख़ून तक पहुँचती है और थोड़ी सी नाख़ून की ओर झुकी हुई होती है। ऐसे व्यक्ति की ठोडी काम हो या खेल ऊपर उठी हुई होती है। इसका नाम एक बैल को व्यक्त करता है जिसकी थूथन उठी हुई होती है। चिंतनशील। 

This is found over the top phalange of the Index finger, moving up to the nail. The line is a bit tilted towards the thumb. A person with this line will put up his chin with thoughts on work and play. The name is suggestive of the ox who has a lifted chin and the line will be up turned likewise. Thoughtfulness-thinker.

(10). PRIYANGAVI प्रियङ्गवी :: 

PRIYANGAVI
प्रियङ्गवी

ऊर्ध्वपर्वणि तर्जन्या: मध्ये तिर्यक् प्रियङ्गवी। वाञ्छितार्थप्रदानाम गोप्रियत्वप्रसूचनात्॥  

तर्जनी ऊँगली के ऊपरी पर्व पर मौजूद, बीचों-बीच खड़ी, यह रेखा सीधी हुई होती है। यह रेखा धारक की समस्त मनोकामनाओं की पूर्ति करती है। इसके नाम का शाब्दिक अर्थ गौ प्रेम है। 

 This vertical line is found at the center of the top phalange of the Index finger. It bestows on the owner all that he desires-accomplishment of desires. Its name suggests love for the cows.

(11). JYOTSNI ज्योत्स्नी :: 

JYOTSNI

ज्योत्स्नी

अधो भागे प्रियङ्गव्या: ज्योत्स्नी तिर्यक् कृषाकृति:। 
असम्भाव्यविवाहस्य योगं सम्प्रयच्छति॥ 

ज्योत्स्नीति नाम हृद्यानां दाराणां  सम्प्रसूचनात्।  

यह प्रियङ्गवि के नीचे पाई जाने वाली पतली और खड़ी हुई रेखा है। इसके परिणाम स्वरूप जातक की शादी असामान्य तरीके से होती है। इसके नाम का अर्थ है प्रेमिकाएँ।

Its found below Priyangavi and is vertical and thin in shape. It represents unusual marriage. Its name means many sweet hearts.

(12). HATASHA हताशा ::

HATASHA

हताशा

ऊर्ध्व ज्योत्स्नया हृताशा स्यात तिर्यक् स्थूलतराकृति:। 

अकाले पुत्रमरणं असृग्वमन्तोSपिवां। 

तत्फलं नात्र सन्देहो नामार्थोSत्रापि च स्फुटः॥  

ज्योत्स्नी  के ऊपर हताशा पाई जाती है। यह मोटी, सीधी खड़ी हुई रेखा है। इसके प्रभाव से पुत्र की अकाल मृत्यु, खून की उलटी करते हुए होती है। इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है। इसके नाम से भी यही फल निकलता है।कभी-कभी ऐसा प्रकृति के दुष्प्रभाव से भी हो सकता है।  

This is found over Jyotsni. It is thick and vertical line. It causes the untimely death of son due to vomiting of blood. Some times the death is resulted due to nature's fury.
(13). DEVDWIT देवद्विट् :: 

DEVDWIT
देवद्विट् 

देवद्विट् तर्जनौमूलसंधिरेखोर्ध्वदेशत:। 

तिर्यक् बाह्ये रोमसन्धौ नास्तिक्यं सर्वकर्मंसु॥ 

तत्फलं देवताद्वेषो नाम्ना संसूचितः स्फुटं।  

संधि रेखा से  ज़रा सी ऊपर, अँगूठे की ओर जहाँ बाल पाए जाते हैं, यह रेखा मौजूद होती है। इस रेखा के फलस्वरूप जातक देवद्रोही, परमात्मा में विश्वास ने रखने वाला होता है। 
Its present a little above the base of the Sandhi Rekha-junction line at the flank where the hairy portion begins. As a result of it one develops disbelief in the Almighty, traitor, atheist. The name indicates infidel and the iconoclast.

(14). KAPARDI कपर्दि :: 

KAPARDI
कपर्दि

कपर्दि: तदधस्तात् स्यात् संश्लिष्टा सन्धिरेखया। 

तिर्यक् पार्श्वोन्मुखी रेखा भार्याभङ्गकरी स्फुटम्। कपर्दीति च नामापि केशानां चिकक्णत्वतः॥  

कपर्दि देवद्विट् के नीचे संधि रेखा को घेरती हुई दिखाई देती-पाई जाती है। इसकी उपस्थिति पत्नी की मृत्यु की सूचक है। इसका नाम बालों के उलझे हुए होने को प्रकट करता है। 

This line is found below Devadwit, embarrassing the Sandhi Rekha, tending towards the sides. It brings about the death of the wife. The name reflects sticky state of hair.

(15). APRAJITA अपराजिता ::

ऊर्ध्वोंन्मुखी पृष्ठभागे तर्जन्यास्तु अपराजिता।

पुत्रनाशकरी नाम्ना गतशोभत्वमीरितम्॥   

यह तर्जनी ऊँगली के पीछे की ओर पाई जाती है और ऊपर की ओर बढ़ती है। यह सन्तान को नष्ट करने वाली रेखा है। नाम के उलटे अर्थ में यह चमक को कम करने वाली है।  
It is found at the back of the Index finger and turns upwards. It destroys children By name it indicates loss of lustre, just the opposite meaning.
(16). DUGDHA दुग्धा ::

DUGDHA
दुग्धा 

दुग्धा स्यात् तर्जनीमूलवामभागादधोमुखी। 
आयुः क्षयकरी नाम्ना क्षीरेच्छत्वं प्रच्छति॥

यह रेखा तर्जनी ऊँगली की जड़ से शुरू होकर उलटे हाथ की ओर ऊपर की ओर बढ़ती है। यह रेखा धारक व्यक्ति की आयु को कम करती है। इसके नाम के अर्थ के रूप में यह दूध के लिए लगाव को प्रकट करती है। 
It starts from the root of Index finger towards the left and moves downwards. It reduces longevity of the possessor. Its name suggests love for milk. 
(17). MUGDHA मुग्धा :: 

MUGDHA 
मुग्धा 

मुग्धा दुग्धापदे वृत्ता तर्जन्यामूलएव वा।

पुंसां प्रशस्तिः स्त्रीणांतु विपरीत फलप्रदा॥मुग्धभावप्रसंगेन मुग्धेत्युक्ता मनीषिभिः।

यह चन्द्राकार रेखा दुग्धा के नीचे दिखाई देती है। इसकी उपस्थिति पुरुष को विशिष्ठ मान सम्मान, परन्तु स्त्रियों में ठीक उल्टा परिणाम प्रदर्शित करती है। इसके मौजूद रहने से मनुष्य को पूर्वजन्म की स्मृति बनी रहती है। मनीषियों ने इसे आकर्षण उत्पन्न करने के कारण मुग्धा कहा है। 

Its found at the foot of Dugdha forming a circle or going round the root of Index finger. It bestows great honour to the man but the result is just the opposite in case of women. Its presence confirms the retention of the memory of previous birth. Its named Mugdha since it involves the attraction involved.

SORMI
सोर्मि 

(18). SORMI सोर्मि :: 

मुग्धाया वृत्तवैकल्यात् अर्धचन्द्राकृतिः यदि॥

सोर्मिर्नाम भवेत् रेखा वाञ्छितार्थप्रदा सदा। 
सोर्मिरित्युदिता सद्भिः वृहदंगत्वसूचनात्॥ 

यदि मुग्धा वृत्ताकर नहीं है तो वह एक त्रिज्या-अर्ध चंद्र के आकार की होगी। इसकी उपस्तिथि मनुष्य की सभी इच्छाओं को पूरा करती है। इसको सोर्मि इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि इसके रहने से मनुष्य के अंगो का आकार बढ़ जाता है। 

If Mugdha does not form a complete circle, then it is seen in the form of an arch and is termed Sormi. It fulfils all desires of  a person. This line is called Sormi, since one having it will have large body parts.

AMUKA
अमुका

(19). AMUKA अमुका :: 

सोर्मे: सकाशात् अमुका  स्यात् पृष्ठगामिनी।

आरोमसन्धि धीरत्वं सुभगत्वं च तत्फलम्॥
अमुकेत्युदिता स्त्रीणां अभीष्टार्थप्रसूचनात्।

यह मोटी रेखा वृहस्पति के ऊपर, सोर्मि के नजदीक तर्जनी के नीचे से शुरू होकर हथेली के बालों वाले स्थान की ओर जाती है। यह मनुष्य में साहस और काम-वासना की तृप्ति को व्यक्त करती है। इसको सोर्मि इसलिए कहा जाता है क्योंकि यह स्त्रियों को काम-वासना की पूर्ण तृप्ति प्रदान करती है। मगर यह रेखा केवल पुरुषों पर ही लागु होती है। 
It is a thick line present close to Sormi and going to the hairy portion of the back of the palm starting from Jupiter below the Index finger. It represent courage and enjoyment of sexual pleasure. It is called so since it gives all that (sexual pleasure) a woman desire. However, it applies to man only.

MOCHIKA :: This deeply cut line is present over the middle phalange of the index finger. Usually it is dark in colour. It envisages release from confinement caused by theft. The nether part of this line sometimes branches out sideways. MUCHI (4). MUCHI :: Its found at the base of Index finger slightly inclined towards the thumb. It grants excellent health, fame, happiness, monetary gains. Its so called because it releases one from poverty and bad health. ASIIDHNI (5). ASIDHNI :: It starts in the region of Jupiter under the Index finger and mover over the 3rd phalange in the upward direction. It denotes death at the age of 28 years by killing with a sword. SURUCHI (6). SURUCHI :: Its found above Asidhni and is a bit thick and vertical. It represent untimely death. Its name means a beautiful body. PATI (7). PATI :: Its found encircling the second Sandhi Rekha-junction line. It grants success-victory over the enemies. This Sandhi-junction is termed as Pat Sandhi. LUTI (8). LUTI :: This line runs between the Pati over the second junction. People with indication find it hard to get food-acute poverty. There is no doubt about it. TANDU (9). TANDU :: This is found over the top phalange of the Index finger, moving up to the nail. The line is a bit tilted towards the thumb. A person with this line will put up his chin with thoughts on work and play. The name is suggestive of the ox who has a lifted chin and the line will be up turned likewise. Thoughtfulness-thinker. PRIYANGAVI (10). PRIYANGAVI :: This vertical line is found at the center of the top phalange of the Index finger. It bestows on the owner all that he desires-accomplishment of desires. Its name suggests love for the cows. JYOTSNI (11). JYOTSNI :: Its found below Priyangavi and is vertical and thin in shape. It represents unusual marriage. Its name means many sweet hearts. HATASHA (12). HATASHA :: This is found over Jyotsni. It is thick and vertical line. It causes the untimely death of son due to vomiting of blood. Some times the death is resulted due to nature's fury. DEVDWIT (13). DEVDWIT :: Its present a little above the base of the Sandhi Rekha-junction line at the flank where the hairy portion begins. As a result of it one develops disbelief in the Almighty, traitor, atheist. The name indicates infidel and the iconoclast. KAPARDI (14). KAPARDI :: This line is found below Devadwit, embarrassing the Sandhi Rekha, tending towards the sides. It brings about the death of the wife. The name reflects sticky state of hair. APRAJITA  (15). APRAJITA :: It is found at the back of the Index finger and turns upwards. It destroys children By name it indicates loss of lustre, just the opposite meaning. DUGDHA  (16). DUGDHA :: It starts from the root of Index finger towards the left and moves downwards. It reduces longevity of the possessor. Its name suggests love for milk. MUGDHA (17). MUGDHA :: Its found at the foot of Dugdha forming a circle or going round the root of Index finger. It bestows great honour to the man but the result is just the opposite in case of women. Its presence confirms the retention of the memory of previous birth. Its named Mugdha since it involves the attraction involved. SORMI (18). SORMI :: If Mugdha does not form a complete circle, then it is seen in the form of an arch and is termed Sormi. It fulfils all desires of a person. This line is called Sormi, since one having it will have large body parts. AMUKA (19). AMUKA :: It is a thick line present close to Sormi and going to the hairy portion of the back of the palm starting from Jupiter below the Index finger. It represent courage and enjoyment of sexual pleasure. It is called so since it gives all that (sexual pleasure) a woman desire. However, it applies to man only.
