ॐ गं गणपतये नम:।

अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।

निराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।

मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि

Bhagwan Kartikey listed the bad and good, auspicious and inauspicious omens of the human body and presented them before his father Bhagwan Shiv, who found faults with them and asked Samudr-Ocean to rewrite the treatise. Later segment of it which deals purely with the body marks and their impact over the human beings is called Samudr Shastr while the various lines present over the palm are termed as a treatise called the KARTIKEY SYSTEM OF PALMISTRY.

SIGNS & MARKS ON THE THUMB ::

FLAG ध्वजा-पताका :: One with this mark will be famous and will enjoy high social status. Politicians and people in prominent positions may have this sign. When found touching any main line on the thumb, it enhances the power-impact of that line.

CROSS X गुणक चिन्ह :: If Presence of this sign over the face of the thumb, means Saturn, Rahu-Ketu (Nodes of Moon) or planet Mars is placed in the Ascendant or preceding-succeeding house to ascendant. A dark sign may result in losses, expenditure, health problems or obstacles in life.

TRIDENT-TRISHUL🔱＜ त्रिशूल :: The three prongs of the Trident-Trishul signify prosperity, spirituality and abundance. The sign brings good luck to the bearer. He carries positive accumulated actions (शुभ कर्मफल) from his previous births.

FORK＜ चिमटा :: V mark is associated with the nurturer Bhagwan Shri Hari Vishnu. It brings respectability, social status and growth in life.

STAR * :: The star, found anywhere on the thumb, means something unexpected and sudden, but when found on the second phalange near the base of the thumb, it means a sudden, unexpected windfall, legacy, inheritance, lottery or enormous wealth.

SQUARE ☐ :: The square is a sign of preservation. It protects the person from money losses, bankruptcy, defamation, illness and other adversities. In some cases, it is found to bring improvements, gains in house and property.⬜⬜

TREE-कल्प वृक्ष 🌳🔱 :: This extraordinary sign fulfils all desires, hopes and ambitions in the lifetime of the person on whose hand it is found.🌳
