28,450 वर्ष पुरानी भगवान शिव की मूर्ति कल्पविग्रह :: 1,959 में की चीन ने तिब्बत पर आक्रमण किया। कई बौद्ध भिक्षुओं को पकड़कर जेल में डाल दिया गया था। एक बौद्ध हाम्पा साधु ने, जो कि हम्पा रक्षक साधु होते हैं, उन्होंने कुछ गुप्तचरों के सहयोग से भगवान् शिव की एक छोटी-सी मूर्ति को अमेरिका की गुप्तचर संस्था में भिजवा दिया था। यह लगभग 5.3 सेमी लंबी और लगभग 4.7 सेमी चौड़ी है; एक अंडाकार आधार 2.5 सेमी लंबा और 1.7 सेमी चौड़ा और वजन लगभग 47.10 ग्राम है। इस मूर्ति को कल्पविग्रह कहा जाता है। सीआईए ने जब इस मूर्ति को कार्बन डेटिंग हेतु कैलिफोर्निया विकिरण प्रयोगशाला में भेजा तो इस मूर्ती के बनाने का समय 28450 वर्ष से भी पहले का पाया गया। | 
80 टन नक्काशीदार ग्रेनाइट, लगभग 216 फीट की ऊँचाई और लगभग शून्य डिग्री वाला झुकाव 1,30,000 टन का वजन और 6 बड़े भूकंप से बचा हुआ है, यह बृहदेश्वर मंदिर, तंजुर, तमिलनाडु, भारत। भारत के महाराष्ट्र के सोलापुर में हरिहरेश्वर मंदिर में खुदाई के दौरान मिला एक अत्यंत अनूठा और दुर्लभ बहुमुखी शिवलिंग। इसमें अन्य देवताओं के साथ शिव के 359 चेहरे हैं और इसका वजन लगभग 4000 किलोग्राम है। |

(1) Pranshni Garbh-their son, (2). Kashyap & Aditi, (3). Vasudev & Devki. Vasudev got this statue from Dhoumy and it was worshipped in Dwarka. From there it was brought to Trichy by Dev Gur Brahaspati. |

Bhawan Shiv giving Sudarshan Chakra to Bhagwan Shri Hari Vishnu :: The Idol Shown is not only the Asia's Oldest but it is the oldest idol found over the entire planet till today. This idol was found inside a 9 inch thick box. Kalp Maha Ayush Rasayan Vigrah was inscribed over it. Thus it was named as Kalp Vigrah When University of California Radiation Laboratory tried to find radiocarbon dating of the box and idol. They were astonished to find that the idol and box were more than 28,450 years old. Thus making it the oldest idol found over the earth. It means that this idol from Dwapar Yug. |
VETTUVAN KOIL ROCK-CUT TEMPLE (GRANITE), Kalugumalai, Tamil Nadu (ca. 9th century). In this image the Shikhar (Dome) and UPPER STORIES of the Rock-Cut temple. The octagonal GRIVA (recessed part of Shikhar) is capped by a lotus, whence rose the Kalash. it is located in Kalugumalai, a rocky hill near Tenkasi. The temple is carved out from a single rock in a rectangular portion measuring 7.5 m (25 ft) in depth. This rock-cut architecture is exemplary of early Pandyan Art It is believed that this monument was established during 8th century by Pandya Maran Chadayan king. This is a rock cut cave complex and cut out temple on the style of the Mahabalipuram Shore Temple and cave sculptures. This monument is also nick named as “ELLORA OF SOUTH”. |
