STROT (
स्रोत, stream, spring, source, current of water, torrent) :: The small porous srot help in absorbing nutrients and expelling carbon dioxide. These are the channels in the body which aid in transportation of nutrients, tissues and in expelling waste. Proper flow in the srot signifies proper-good health. But if there is any disturbance to the flow like blockage, deficient or excessive flow and out of channel flow is a disease state.
Every srot has three parts to it :-
(1). Srot Mul or root,
(2). Srot Marg or passage and
(3). Srot Munkh or opening.
Different srot in the human body along with their Mul or root :-

In the female two more systems, Artav (menopause, मासिक धर्म) and Stan (स्तन), are present which are in charge of menstrual fluid and breast milk respectively.

Each and every patient is an individual entity and the treatment also differs from patient to patient. Rog Nidan (detection of disease, रोग निदान) has its different parameters. Prakrati (प्रकृति, nature) Parikshan (identification, judgement, परीक्षण), Saar (सार, conclusion), Sahan Shakti (सहन-प्रतिरोध शक्ति, immunity, resistance power, tolerance, compactness), Vyayam (व्यायाम, Exercise), Agni (Digestion) all these parameters are  studied by an Ayur Vaedist (वैद्य, चिकित्सक). An Ayur Vaedist makes a clear picture of the individual by understanding a patient as a whole and also  decides what kind of mode of preparation to be used for the patient. Panch Kashay Kalp, (पञ्च कषाय कल्प), RAS (रस, Juice), CHURN (चूर्ण, powder), KALK (कल्क),  PHANT, (फॉण्ट)  is based on this principle.
