A brief preview which follows, is a microscopic view of the most exhaustive work on this ancient art, making use of scientific learning, reading, practice and forecasts, made true to the word. One can easily find out his future-destiny with marked accuracy with the help of the sketches given in the text which follows. It will be quite easy to learn the subject without external help and advise. Research work carried out during the last 45 years, after examining thousands of hands and learning the books of imminent authors, scriptures & Purans, has been incorporated in it. This text-book contains the authentic versions of the Indian and Western system.
हस्तरेखा विज्ञान एक वृहद शास्त्र है। इसका पूर्वावलोकन संक्षेप में प्रस्तुत है। हस्त रेखाओं के आधार पर भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान का आख्यान (Tale, Narrative, A legend, Account-कथन) एक कला है। इस वृहद ग्रन्थ की रचना में गणमान्य से साधारण व्यक्तियों तक के हाथों का निरीक्षण किया गया है। 45 साल की निरन्तर खोज, इसके लिपिबद्ध करने में सहायक हुई है। जाने-माने हस्त रेखा विशेषज्ञों, पुराण और शास्त्रों का गहन अध्ययन और विवेचना इसका आधार है। भारतीय हस्तरेखा ज्ञान का समावेश इसमें स्थान-स्थान पर किया गया है। इसके अध्ययन से कोई भी व्यक्ति एक अच्छा हस्तरेखा परीक्षक बन सकता है। इसमें हजारों रेखाचित्रों को बनाकर, विषय वस्तु को स्पष्ट किया गया है।
INTRODUCTION :: Palmistry is also called Chiromancy. Chiromancy (Cheir means hand and manteia means divination) is the art of characterisation and foretelling the future through the study of palm. Those who practice Chiromancy are generally called Palmist, Palm reader, hand reader, hand analysts or Cheirologists.
हस्त रेखाओं के आधार पर भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान को बताना, पूछने वाले के प्रश्नों का उचित उत्तर देना और शंकाओं का समाधान करना इसका मन्तव्य-आशय है। यह एक पूर्ण ज्ञान है। इसकी सहायता से उचित मार्ग दर्शन के साथ-साथ मानसिक, शारीरिक और आध्यात्मिक स्वास्थ्य लाभ किया जा सकता है। भविष्य वक्ता की नीयत सही होनी चाहिये। हाथ दिखाने वाले के द्वारा हस्तरेखा परीक्षक को उचित दक्षिणा अवश्य देनी चाहिये। बाल्मीकि रामायण के युद्ध खण्ड में इस विषय की चर्चा की गयी है। वराहमिहिर ने इसका वर्णन किया है। समुद्र ने भगवान् शिव के कहने पर अंग विद्या के रूप में इसे प्रस्तुत किया है। देवऋषि नारद, गर्गाचार्य, भगवान् वेदव्यास के पिता महृषि पाराशर ने इसका विस्तार से वर्णन किया है। भगवान् शिव के पुत्र भगवान् कार्तिकेय ने इसे शारीरिक शास्त्र के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया था। अंतर्ज्ञान का भविष्य कथन में बहुत योगदान है। मन, वचन और कर्म से स्वच्छ, हस्तरेखाओं का ब्यौरा-विवरण करने वाले ब्राह्मण, जो लालची न हो, का कथन कभी गलत नहीं होता। मस्तिष्क-माँथे और पैर के तलवों में पाये जाने वाली रेखाओं का भी उतना ही महत्व होता है।
Psychology, helps the Palmist in conveying the right message. It can be used to provide solace and consolation to the one, who has approached him for consultation. Shape of the hand, length of the fingers, separation between the fingers, location of mounts and their development do matter. Examine both the hands. Male’s right hand and female’s left hand are the Principal hands, which describe the current and future events accurately. Male’s left hand and female’s right hand are equally meaningful, as they describe the parents and family tree. In case of married person both the hands of the spouse carries weight. Future events on male’s right hand must be examined on spouse’s right hand and vice-versa. Female’s left hand is always a supporting hand for the male. Events marked on wife’s left hand have their impact on husband’s life and future. To be accurate all the four hands needs examination.
(Note :: Lines over the hands always keep on changing depending upon the accumulated, current & past deeds. One can cure diseases, cross professional hurdles, obstacles in marriage, destiny if he follow the advice and remedies, properly.)

Drastic changes have been observed in the lines after marriage. Lines are always found to undergo changes as per deeds. Children’s lines are more prone to change. Male's left hand gives precisely, the details regarding parents, uncle-aunt etc. Unmarried girl’s right hand also gives such precise details. Identical lines on both hands confirm the future events, beyond doubt. Some lines and marks appear on the palm, show off their impact and disappear. Such lines are called event-chance lines and are generally minor lines. In case of deep impact they stay forever.
सामान्यतया रेखाएँ बदलती रहती हैं। केवल वही रेखाएँ हाथ में बनी रहतीं हैं, जिनका प्रभाव स्थायी और दीर्घकाल तक रहता है। कुछ रेखाएँ तो अपना असर दिखा कर मिट जाती हैं। हृदय और मस्तिष्क रेखाओं तक का बनना और बिगड़ना प्रायः देखा गया है। मनुष्य का भविष्य उसके प्रारब्ध, संचित और वर्तमान कर्म निर्धारित करते हैं। अतः बच्चे का हाथ ना ही देखा जाये तो बेहतर है। आदमी का बायाँ हाथ उसके माँ-बाप, चाचा और बुआओं का सटीक वर्णन करता है। स्त्री का दायाँ हाथ शादी से पहले उसके माँ-बाप का हाथ-उनका व्यतीत जीवन प्रदर्शित करता है। अविवाहित कन्या का दायाँ उसके पिता का स्पष्ट वर्णन करता है। शादी के उपरांत वही हाथ-शादी की उम्र के बाद, उसके पति का ब्यौरा देने लगता है। कभी-कभी कुछ चिन्ह हथेली पर प्रकट होते हैं और अपना असर दिखाकर चले जाते हैं। अगर कोई निशान नहीं मिटा तो उसका असर पूरी जिन्दगी बना रहता है।
Firmness, determination, willpower of the subject are the factors, which prevent mis happenings diseases if told in advance & he follows. Unfortunate marriages can be prevented easily. Blessings, prayers, meditation, Yog, Bhakti, medicines do have their impact in such cases. Even the major lines are found to reappear and disappear. One can only postpone or propane the outcome of his deeds good or bad, in previous lives, but can't escape them altogether. He can skip them but can't escape them. Merely the presence of good Sun Line, Line of Fate doesn't guarantee good luck; shape of the hand and endeavour of the subject are equally responsible for the future and growth. Personally, I believe in labour & concerted efforts. God's prayers do matter but one who solely depend upon luck do not deserve guidance from the Palmist. One who do not wish to pay or just want to examine the talent of the Palmist should be turned back.
जातक का आत्मविश्वास, दृढ़ निश्चय, भगवत्भक्ति, श्रद्धा, विश्वास, योग, मनन-चिन्तन बड़े से बड़े संकट को टालने में समर्थ हैं। बेमेल-अशुभ विवाह, बीमारी, दुर्घटना अकाल मृत्यु को आसानी से टाला जा सकता है। प्रमुख रेखाओं तक को मिटते और बनते देखा गया है। पूर्वजन्म के कर्मों-प्रारब्ध के आधार पर बनने वाले भाग्य को बदल जा सकता है, हालांकि इनसे पूरी तरह बचना नामुमकिन सा लगता है। हाथ में सूर्य या भाग्य रेखा की मौजूदगी सफलता सुनिश्चित नहीं करतीं।

Right hand of the male subject should be held in the right hand and left hand of the female should be held in the left hand by the Palmist. It’s possible to find out the date of birth of the subject, by the careful examination of the Palm. To be accurate the lines should be marked with black ink.

Shape, size & formation of the Palm, Fingers, Nails, ridges, arches, moles, spots, signs, gaps and spaces between the fingers and thumb are meaningful.

ANG VIDYA :: Yuddh Khand in Balmiki Ramayan discusses hand reading. Duryodhan's hand is described in Mahabharat Brahat. Varahmihir has discussed the lines on the hand. Samudr enunciated ANG VIDYA (अंग विद्या) chronologically. Dev Rishi Narad, Garg, Parashar discussed it in great details. SKAND-Bhagwan Kartikay is the patron deity of Palmistry & Astrology. Art & Science of reading the Palm is Palmistry. Intuition (fore sight) plays a great role in it. Palmist’s motive and his devotion to God decide the accuracy of his predictions. It carries more weight, if the Palmist happens to be a Brahmn by Mansa (mind, heart, thinking), Vachna (speech), Karmna (deeds). Lines on the forehead and the feet do speak.

मनोविज्ञान का उपयोग प्रश्नकर्ता की सन्तुष्टि में सहायक है। इसका उपयोग उचित मार्गदर्शन के लिये करना चाहिए। इससे प्रश्नकर्ता को शान्ति, धीरज, साहस, सांत्वना मिलती है। हाथ और उँगलियों की बनावट, उँगलियों के पौरों पर पाये जाने वाले चिन्ह, अगूँठे पर पाई जाने वाली रेखाएँ और चिन्हों का भी विशेष महत्व है। हाथ की लम्बाई-चौड़ाई भी महत्वपूर्ण है। हाथ-हथेली पर पाये जाने वाले पर्वत और उनकी स्थिति भी उतनी ही महत्वपूर्ण है। पुरुष का दायाँ-सीधा और महिला का बाँया-उल्टा हाथ सामान्यतया देखा जाता है। वर्तमान काल में महिलायें स्वच्छंद-स्वेच्छाचारिणी, नौकरी करने वाली, पढ़ी-लिखी, स्वतंत्र विचारों, अहम् से परिपूर्ण, आत्मनिर्भर होती हैं। अतः उनका हाथ ध्यान से देखकर भी उतना ही बताना चाहिये, जितना जरूरी हो। पति-पत्नी का हाथ एक साथ देखने से भविष्यवाणी ज्यादा सटीक-सही होगी। प्रायः देखा जाता है कि जिस घटना को पति का हाथ स्पष्ट नहीं कर रहा वो पत्नी के हाथ में होती है और ऐसा ही स्त्री और पुरुष के लिए भी सही है। स्त्री पुरुष का सम्बल और पूरक है यह इस बात से स्पष्ट होता है। अतः निरीक्षक को एक साथ चारों हाथों का निरीक्षण-परीक्षण करना चाहिए। जो रेखाएँ पूरी, स्पष्ट और दोनों, चारों हाथों में होंगी उनका प्रभाव अवश्य होगा।

हाथ दिखाने वाले हाथ दिखाते समय यथा सम्भव शाँत और उलझनों से मुक्त होना चाहिये। हाथ का आकार बनावट, हथेली की बनावट, नाखून, तिल, बारीक लकीरें, दाग-धब्बे, उँगलियों की बनावट और उनके ऊपर चिन्ह, बीच की दूरी, अगूँठा आदि सभी, कुछ न कुछ अवश्य बताते हैं।
In case the hand has just 2 or 3 main lines, it become even more significant for the Palmist. In such a situation mounts must be examined with regard to their location, development and elevation. Such hands belongs to those who have already completed the cycles of their prior deeds (virtues & the sins). If they desire comforts, luxuries, riches they should work hard in that direction. However, for them its easy to attain devotion.
यदि हाथ में केवल 2 या 3 रेखाएँ ही हैं, तो यह हस्तरेखा विज्ञ के लिये एक चुनौती भरा है। इस परिस्थिति में उसे हाथ की बनावट, पर्वत, उँगलियों की बनावट, उनकी लम्बाई और उनके बीच की दूरी पर निर्भर होना पड़ता है। ऐसे हाथ उन लोगों के होते हैं, जो अपने अगले-पिछले कर्मों को लगभग बराबर कर चुके होते हैं। अगर उन्हें सांसारिक भोग चाहिये तो उस दिशा में कार्य करें और अगर चाहिये भक्ति तो वह तो उनके लिये बेहद आसान है।
Human palm represents the Divinity-the Deity, the Holy Places, the God and rivers on the earth. The Life Line, Line of Head and Heart Line represent the holy rivers Ganga, Yumuna and Saraswati. Mounts represents Mountains. Space contained by the forefinger and the thumb is Akhay Tirth-the ever surviving holy place. The first thing to do after wake up is to see both hands in such a way that the Heart Lines form a crescent (figure matching rising moon).
मनुष्य का हाथ ईश्वरीय रचना, देवी-देवताओं, तीर्थ स्थल, परमात्मा, दिव्य नदियाँ :- गँगा, यमुना और सरस्वती को दर्शाता है। पर्वत ब्रह्माण्ड के विभिन्न पर्वतों को दर्शाते हैं। शनि की ऊँगली और अँगूठे के बीच की जगह अक्षय तीर्थ का प्रतीक है। मनुष्य को प्रातःकाल जगने के बाद अपने दोनों हाथों को इस प्रकार मिलाकर रखना चाहिये कि दोनों हाथों की हृदय रेखाओं को मिलाकर अर्धचन्द्र की आकृति बन जाये तथा इसका दर्शन कर माँ-बाप, देवी-देवताओं तथा ईश्वर का आशीर्वाद ग्रहण करना चाहिए।
COLOUR OF THE PALM :: Red coloured palm indicates a robustness. A red handed guy will be passionate (उत्साही, आवेशपूर्ण, तीव्र, कामुक, तीक्ष्ण, गर्म, तामसी, क्रोधी, intense, acute, rapid, fast, sharp, passionate, sensual, sensuous, carnal, voluptuous, fervent, pointed, drastic, fiery, angry, hot-headed, ireful, lofty, warm, resentful, ratty, quick-tempered and ardent). A red line will indicate much of the same, but it will be modified by the function of the line i.e. a red of Life Line will indicate a vigorous, robust health coupled with an active nature, while a red Line of Heart will denote overflowing and heartfelt emotions. Yellow coloured palm is indicative of melancholy (दुःख. परेशानी; sadness, flatness, boredom, dejection, lethargy, idling, idleness, dejection, doldrums, dump, yearning, lassitude, remorse, repentance, gloomy, sullen, sorrowful, heart breaking, shabby, dirty, cheerless, heartless, dejected, heavyhearted, downcast, disappointed, frustrated, hopeless, desperate, despondent, sluggish, slack, lingering, slow, downcast, heartsick, dispirited, nostalgic) and morose character. Pink hue in the palm denotes a hopeful, sanguine, enthusiastic and bright nature. One may consider it to be a less extreme manifestation of a red hand or line. This is the optimal colour for any line in a healthy and well-adjusted person. White colour denotes lack of interest in the outside world and those with whom the bearer may associate. White hands are egotistical, consequential in selfishness and a lack of sympathy for others. It is also a symbol for general ill-health and weakness. Black coloured line denotes a trait of a person as grave, haughty, distant and vengeful.

हाथ दिखाने वाले हाथ दिखाते समय यथा सम्भव शाँत और उलझनों से मुक्त होना चाहिये। हाथ का आकार बनावट, हथेली की बनावट, नाखून, तिल, बारीक लकीरें, दाग-धब्बे, उँगलियों की बनावट और उनके ऊपर चिन्ह, बीच की दूरी, अगूँठा आदि सभी, कुछ न कुछ अवश्य बताते हैं।
In case the hand has just 2 or 3 main lines, it become even more significant for the Palmist. In such a situation mounts must be examined with regard to their location, development and elevation. Such hands belongs to those who have already completed the cycles of their prior deeds (virtues & the sins). If they desire comforts, luxuries, riches they should work hard in that direction. COLOUR OF THE PALM :: Red coloured palm indicates a robustness. A red handed guy will be passionate (उत्साही, आवेशपूर्ण, तीव्र, कामुक, तीक्ष्ण, गर्म, तामसी, क्रोधी, intense, acute, rapid, fast, sharp, passionate, sensual, sensuous, carnal, voluptuous, fervent, pointed, drastic, fiery, angry, hot-headed, ireful, lofty, warm, resentful, ratty, quick-tempered and ardent). A red line will indicate much of the same, but it will be modified by the function of the line i.e. a red of Life Line will indicate a vigorous, robust health coupled with an active nature, while a red Line of Heart will denote overflowing and heartfelt emotions. Yellow coloured palm is indicative of melancholy (दुःख. परेशानी; sadness, flatness, boredom, dejection, lethargy, idling, idleness, dejection, doldrums, dump, yearning, lassitude, remorse, repentance, gloomy, sullen, sorrowful, heart breaking, shabby, dirty, cheerless, heartless, dejected, heavyhearted, downcast, disappointed, frustrated, hopeless, desperate, despondent, sluggish, slack, lingering, slow, downcast, heartsick, dispirited, nostalgic) and morose character. Pink hue in the palm denotes a hopeful, sanguine, enthusiastic and bright nature. One may consider it to be a less extreme manifestation of a red hand or line. This is the optimal colour for any line in a healthy and well-adjusted person. White colour denotes lack of interest in the outside world and those with whom the bearer may associate. White hands are egotistical, consequential in selfishness and a lack of sympathy for others. It is also a symbol for general ill-health and weakness. Black coloured line denotes a trait of a person as grave, haughty, distant and vengeful.
