SHAPE OF FINGERS & THEIR EFFECT ::
LONG & SLIM :: It signify emotional nature of a person. Heavy fingers show more of physical activities.
CONICAL :: It denote sensitivity and one with such fingers take care of his looks and appearance.
POINTED :: One is spiritualistic. He is more of imaginative type and cautious but flexible by nature. He loves nature and its beauty.
SQUARE :: One who has square fingers is business minded, rational, practical and down-to-earth. He is conventional and conservative in behaviour.

Mercury-Little Finger :: It reflects the communications, spirituality and the Id (or अहम्, Libido). A broken fingernail tells of the inability to communicate at some level. The knuckle will begin to enlarge once the subject's lifestyle makes them predisposed to developing the corresponding arthritic condition, but long before the ailment has become debilitating. This is the best time for treatment.
ANGER AND TEMPER :: The second knuckle of the thumb reveals how the subject uses or suppresses their anger and temper. This knuckle can have a very pronounced enlargement, or can be completely smooth without any noticeable bump. The larger the size of the knuckle, the more volatile the temper.
When the knuckle runs smooth without any noticeable enlargement, this reveals that the anger does a slow burn. Slow to build, this type of temper pattern will grow gradually over a period of years before finally exploding. Once the anger is released, it is quite venomous and non-physical. CURVATURE OF THE SPINE :: The fingernails reveal many traits about the condition of the spine. Perhaps the easiest to spot is a forward curvature. A spinal curvature is indicated when one nail, instead of being straight, curves in towards the fingertip.
ACTUAL LOCATION OF MISALIGNMENT ::
Thumbnail :- Cervical Vertebrae 1 & 2, first two bones of the neck.
Index Fingernail :- Cervical Vertebrae 3-7, neck to shoulder blades.
Middle Fingernail :- Thoracic Vertebrae 1-12, shoulder blades to mid-back.
Ring Fingernail :- Lumbar Vertebrae 1-4, mid-back to pelvis.
Little Fingernail :- Sacrum and Coccyx, Pelvis and tailbone.
If the fingernails reveal a spinal curvature, chiropractic alignment and toning the stomach muscles is also very important.
GLANDULAR IMBALANCES :: Imbalances in the Glands can be identified from lines upon the fingertips. Strong diagonal lines or the Grille formation found on any fingertip reveals a glandular problem. The deeper the lines, the more severe the condition. Each fingertip relates to a different gland.
