Astrology is an ancient Indian science which explains planetary motions and positions with respect to time and their effect-impact on humans and other entities on earth. It emerged with the cosmos along with Brahma Ji. Astrology can be divided in two sections: (1). Mathematical astrology and (2). Predictive astrology. Mathematical part of astrology mainly contains creation of birth chart. In this part of astrology, different positions of the planets are calculated on the basis of time and place etc. On the other hand, predictive astrology is used for foretelling events of the future.

At the time of child's-birth, a map of the positions of planets in the cosmos is created, and this map is known as birth-chart or Janm (जन्म कुण्डली) Kundli.

It's primarily based on the position of celestial objects: (1). Nine planets, (2). Twelve signs, (3). Twenty-seven Nakshatr (constellations, नक्षत्र) and twelve houses (Bhav, भाव). Generally predictions are based on permutations and combinations of these elements. Each one of them represent some aspect of human life.

SUN SIGNS ::

Sun Sign represents the Astrological Sign of the Zodiac, at which the Sun was in the birth chart at the time of birth. Sun rules will power and the individuality. It represents the core of ones potential, sets the direction one want to take in life and his distinctiveness as an individual. Though the individuality is designated by the Sun sign, yet the personality is designated by the ascendant sign in the chart at the time of birth. The Sun rules essential personality traits, ego and willpower.

NINE PLANETS (नव ग्रह) :: SUN(SURY सूर्य), MOON (LUNA, CHANDR चंद्र, SOM सोम), MARS (MANGAL मंगल, KUJ कुज), MERCURY (BUDDH बुध), JUPITER (GURU, VRAHASPATI गुरू, वृहस्पति), VENUS (SHUKR शुक्र), SATURN (SHANI शनि), RAHU (राहु), KETU (केतु).

All these are termed as Nav Grah. The energy-cosmic radiations of these planets influences one's, everyday life. The planets move at varying speeds. Moon completes the zodiac cycle in 27 to 31 days, Sun in 365 days (1 year), Saturn is slowest moving planet of the zodiac.

Sun is a star and Moon is its satellite. Grah is a common term used to describe both of these.Their impact over human behavior is considered for the purpose of predicting the future events. Rahu and Ketu constitute the two fragments of the same object, seen hovering round the Sun as shadow (छाया ग्रह).

Indian astrology is earth-eccentric. Zodiac is a circular belt and all planets seem to be moving over this belt. If this Zodiac is divided into twelve equal parts, each part is known as a Zodiac sign. These twelve zodiac signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Similarly, when this Zodiac is divided into twenty-seven equal parts, each part is called a Nakshatr.

A circle is divided into 360 parts and each one of them is called degree. Each Zodiac sign, which is one-twelfth of zodiac, comprises of 30 degrees.

फलित ज्योतिष उस विद्या को कहते हैं, जिसमें मनुष्य तथा पृथ्वी पर, ग्रहों और तारों के शुभ तथा अशुभ प्रभावों का अध्ययन किया जाता है। ज्योतिष शब्द का यौगिक अर्थ ग्रह तथा नक्षत्रों से संबंध रखनेवाली विद्या है। इस शब्द से यद्यपि गणित (सिद्धांत) ज्योतिष का भी बोध होता है।

कुंडली में भाव का अर्थ :: जिस तरह आकाश मण्डल में बारह राशियां हैं, वैसे ही वर्तमान समय में कुंडली में बारह भाव (द्वादश भाव) होते हैं। जन्म कुंडली या जन्मांग चक्र में किसी के जन्म समय में आकाश की उस जन्म स्थान पर स्थिति के आकाशी नक्श को भाव कहते हैं।

कुंडली में प्रथम स्थान-भाव में जो भी सँख्या हो उसे जन्म लग्न कहते हैं। उदाहरण के तौर पर यदि उस भाव में 1 नंबर है तो मेष लग्न होगा, उसी प्रकार 2 नंबर को वृषभ, 3 नंबर को मिथुन, 4 को कर्क, 5 को सिंह, 6 को कन्या, 7 को तुला, 8 को वृश्चिक, 9 को धनु, 10 को मकर, 11 को कुंभ व 12 नंबर को मीन लग्न कहेंगे।

कुंडली वह चक्र है, जिसके द्वारा किसी इष्ट काल में राशिचक्र की स्थिति का ज्ञान होता है। राशिचक्र क्रांतिचक्र से संबद्ध है, जिसकी स्थिति अक्षांशों की भिन्नता के कारण विभिन्न देशों में एक सी नहीं है। अतएव राशिचक्र की स्थिति जानने के लिये स्थानीय समय तथा अपने स्थान में होनेवाले राशियों के उदय की स्थिति (स्वोदय) का ज्ञान आवश्यक है। घड़ियाँ किसी एक निश्चित याम्योत्तर के मध्यम सूर्य के समय को बतलाती है। इससे सारणियों की, जो पंचागों में दी रहती हैं, सहायता से हमें स्थानीय स्पष्टकाल ज्ञात करना होता है। स्थानीय स्पष्टकाल को इष्टकाल कहते हैं। इष्टकाल में जो राशि पूर्व क्षितिज में होती है, उसे लग्न कहते हैं। तात्कालिक स्पष्ट सूर्य के ज्ञान से एवं स्थानीय राशियों के उदयकाल के ज्ञान से लग्न जाना जाता है। इस प्रकार राशिचक्र की स्थिति ज्ञात हो जाती है। भारतीय प्रणाली में लग्न का भी निर्णय लिया जाता है। पाश्चात्य प्रणाली में लग्न सायन लिया जाता है। इसके अतिरिक्त वे लोग राशिचक्र शिरोबिंदु (दशम लग्न) को भी ज्ञात करते हैं। भारतीय प्रणाली में लग्न जिस राशि में होता है, उसे ऊपर की ओर लिखकर शेष राशियों को वामावर्त से लिख देते हैं। लग्न को प्रथम भाव तथा उसके बाद की राशि को दूसरे भाव इत्यादि के रूप में कल्पित करते हैं। भावों की संख्या उनकी कुंडली में स्थिति से ज्ञात होती है। राशियों का अंकों द्वारा तथा ग्रहों को उनके आद्यक्षरों से व्यक्त कर देते हैं। इस प्रकर का राशिचक्र कुंडली कहलाता है। भारतीय पद्धति में जो सात ग्रह माने जाते हैं, वे हैं सूर्य, चंद्र, मंगल आदि। इसके अतिरिक्त दो तमो ग्रह भी हैं, जिन्हें राहु तथा केतु कहते हैं। राहु को सदा क्रांतिवृत्त तथा चंद्रकक्षा के आरोहपात पर तथा केतु का अवरोहपात पर स्थित मानते हैं। ये जिस भाव, या जिस भाव के स्वामी, के साथ स्थित हों उनके अनुसार इनका फल बदल जाता है। स्वभावत: तमोग्रह होने के कारण इनका फल अशुभ होता है।

पाश्चात्य प्रणाली में राशियों के लिये सम्बंधित सँख्याएँ :: मेष-1, वृष-2, मिथुन-3, कर्क-4, सिंह-5, कन्या-6, तुला -7, वृश्चि-8, धनु -9, मकर-10, कुम्भ-11 तथा मीन-12.

ग्रहों के लिये सम्बंधित सँख्याएँ :: बुध-1, शुक्र-2, पृथ्वी-3, मंगल-4, गुरु-5, शनि-6, वारुणी-7, वरुण-8 तथा यम-9.

भावों की स्थिति अंकों से व्यक्त की जाती है। स्पष्ट लग्न को पूर्वबिंदु (वृत्त को आधा करनेवाली रेखा के बाएँ छोर पर) लिखकर, वहाँ से वृत्त चतुर्थांश के तुल्य तीन भाग करके भावों को लिखते हैं। ग्रह जिन राशियों में हो उन राशियों में लिख देते हैं। इस प्रकार कुंडली बन जाती है, जिसे अंग्रेजी में हॉरोस्कोप (horoscope) कहते हैं। यूरोप में, भारतीय सात ग्रहों के अतिरिक्त, वारुणी, वरुण तथा यम के प्रभाव का भी अध्ययन करते हैं।

पूरे भचक्र के 360 डिग्री को बारह भागों में यानि 30-30 डिग्री में विभाजित किया गया है, जिसका फलित ज्योतिष में बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है, क्योंकि इन बारहों भागों का संबंध मनुष्य के अलग-अलग प्रकार के सुख और दुख से है।

उत्तर एवं दक्षिण भारत में प्रयोग में लाये जाने वाले जन्मकुण्डली शैलियाँ :-

दक्षिण भारतीय कुण्डली

बारह भावों के विभिन्न नाम एवं उनसे संबंधित विषयों का विवरण TWELVE HOUSES OF THE HOROSCOPE :: The houses of the horoscope refers to a twelve part division that begins with the Ascendant or the Rising Sign. The Ascendant (Rising Sign, First House cusp) is calculated to an exact degree based on the precise moment of birth.

ASCENDANT :: The sign rising over the horizon at the time of subjects birth is called the Ascendant, Lagn-लग्न or Rising Sign. The twelve houses of the horoscope define different areas of our life. Each house refers to a specific aspect of life. Each house has a natural sign and natural ruling planets. The sign and planet are associated with a house in the natural chart, beginning with Aries and ending with Pisces. Each signs/house consists of thirty degrees.

The rising sign governs one's personality, disposition and physical attributes, notably one's appearance and general outlook. The sign and condition of the ascendant also affects subjects strength, vitality, health issues and the types of illnesses he may experience. Its influence is powerful, but may be modified by any planets rising and the condition of the ruling planet. The placement of the luminaries (Sun and Moon) and how they aspect the ascendant also affect the appearance.

प्रथम भाव :: पहले घर को प्रथम भाव कहा जाएगा, इसे लग्न भी कहते हैं। अन्य कुछ नाम ये भी हैं :- हीरा, तनु, केन्द्र, कंटक, चतुष्टय, प्रथम।

मनुष्य के लिए संसार में सबसे पहली घटना उसका इस पृथ्वी पर जन्म है, इसीलिए प्रथम भाव जन्म भाव कहलाता है। जन्म लेने पर जो वस्तुएँ मनुष्य को प्राप्त होती हैं, उन सब वस्तुओं का विचार अथवा संबंध प्रथम भाव से होता है, यथा जन्म स्थान, जन्म के समय की बातें, शरीर (रंग-रूप, कद), वर्ण-जाति, केश, आयु, योग्यता, तेज, नेतृत्व शक्ति, आरोग्य, स्वभाव, व्यक्तित्व, चरित्र, गुण व अवगुण, यश, सुख-दुख, मुख, मुख का ऊपरी भाग-मस्तक, जीवन आदि का विचार होता है। बढ़ती उम्र के साथ-साथ, इससे शरीर, आत्मविश्वास, अन्य व्यक्तिगत गुण और अनुभव भी इसी भाव से देखे जाते हैं।

विस्तृत रूप में इस भाव से जनस्वास्थ्य, मंत्रिमंडल की परिस्थितियों पर भी विचार जाना जा सकता है।

1^st HOUSE (RULER-ARIES) :: It describes self-the subject, health, longevity, happiness, appearance, character, stature, temperament, prosperity, disposition, nature, personality, vitality & vigour, success or failure in attempts, general well being, fame (Sun & Houses 10), beginning of life, child hood, environment, physical body.

ईश्वर का विधान है कि मनुष्य जन्म पाकर मोक्ष तक पहुँचे अर्थात प्रथम भाव से द्वादश भाव तक पहुँचे। जीवन से मरण यात्रा तक जिन वस्तुओं आदि की आवश्यकता मनुष्य को पड़ती है, वह द्वितीय भाव से एकादश भाव तक के स्थानों से दर्शाई जाती है।

उत्तर भारतीय कुण्डली

द्वितीय भाव :: यह धन भाव कहलाता है। इसके अन्य नाम हैं :- पणफर, द्वितीय। इससे कुटुंब-परिवार, विद्या, बहुमूल्य सामग्री का संग्रह, आभूषण, सोना-चाँदी, चल-सम्पत्ति, नम्रता, भोजन, वाकपटुता, वाणी, विचार, धन की बचत, सौभाग्य, लाभ-हानि, दृष्टि, दाहिनी आँख, स्मरण शक्ति, नाक, ठुड्डी, दाँत, स्त्री की मृत्यु, कला, सुख, गला, कान, मृत्यु का कारण जाना जाता है। इस भाव से विस्तृत रूप में कैद यानी राजदंड भी देखा जाता है।
राष्ट्रीय विचार से राजस्व, जनसाधारण की आर्थिक दशा, आयात एवं वाणिज्य-व्यवसाय आदि के बारे में भी इसी भाव से जाना जा सकता है।

मनुष्य को शरीर तो प्राप्त हो गया, किंतु शरीर को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए, ऊर्जा के लिए दूध, रोटी आदि खाद्य पदार्थो की आवश्यकता होती है, अन्यथा शरीर नहीं चलने वाला। इसीलिए खाद्य पदार्थ, धन, कुटुंब आदि का संबंध द्वितीय स्थान से है।

बचपन में कौटुम्बिक स्थिति को देखा जाता है, किन्तु बढ़ती उम्र के साथ साथ इससे धन, कोष, साख, परिवार आदि की स्थिति भी देखी जाती है।

2^ndHOUSE (RULER-TAURUS) :: This is the house which illustrates wealth, death, speech, family, vision-prudence, education, learning, right eye, self-acquisition, face, material welfare, second marriage, teacher, lawyers, bankers, bonds, security, stock & shares, friends, documents, mortgages, negotiable & changeable assets, bank balance, gold, silver, ruby, pearls, money matters, acquisition by self, effort, worldly attainments.

तृतीय भाव :: यह पराक्रम भाव के नाम से जाना जाता है। इसे भातृ भाव भी कहते हैं। अन्य नाम हैं :- अपचय, तृतीय। इस भाव से दायाँ कान, लघु यात्राएँ, साहस, सामर्थ्य अर्थात् पराक्रम, नौकर-चाकर, भाई-बहनों से सम्बन्ध, पड़ोसी, लेखन-प्रकाशन, मित्रों से सम्बन्ध, साझेदारी, संचार-माध्यम, स्वर, संगीत, वक्षस्थल, फेफड़े, भुजाएँ।
राष्ट्रीय ज्योतिष के लिए इस भाव से रेल, वायुयान, पत्र-पत्रिकाएँ, पत्र व्यवहार, निकटतम देशों की हलचल आदि के बारे में जाना जाता है।

बचपन में भाई, बहन से अच्छे या बुरे संबंध, बढ़ती उम्र के साथ पौरूष, पराक्रम, अनुयायी कार्यकर्त्ताओं आदि का भी बोध कराता है।

धन अथवा अन्य आवश्यकता की वस्तुएँ बिना श्रम के प्राप्त नहीं हो सकतीं और बिना परिश्रम के धन टिक नहीं सकता। धन, वस्तुएँ आदि रखने के लिए बल आदि की आवश्यकता होती है। इसीलिए तृतीय स्थान का संबंध, बल, परिश्रम व बाहु से होता है। शरीर, परिश्रम, धन आदि तभी सार्थक होंगे, जब काम करने की भावना, सामर्थ होगी, रूचि होगी, अन्यथा सब व्यर्थ है।
3^rdHOUSE (RULER-GEMINI) :: One can find out his stamina, courage, longevity, younger brother, perseverance, short travels, writings, relations, confusion of mind, vigour, pleasure, arms, servants, good qualities, large undertakings, mistress, neighbours, brokerage, commissions, ability, memory, mistress, intellect, interview, mental inclination, lower mind for material advancement, inclination to study, change of residence, signing of contracts, papers, accounting, mathematics. Media: editor, reporter, messenger, journalist, library, partition of property, printing press, communications, post offices, letter boxes, telephone, telegraph, television, teleprinter, airmail, architect, astrology, writer, post, journalism, correspondence, publishing.

चतुर्थ भाव :: यह सुख भाव कहलाता है। इसके अन्य नाम हैं :- केन्द्र, कंटक, चतुष्टय। इस भाव से माता, जन्म समय की परिस्थिति, दत्तक पुत्र, हृदय, छाती, पति-पत्नी की विधि यानी कानूनी मामले, पैतृक संपत्ति, चल सम्पति, गृह-निर्माण, पारिवारिक स्थिति, वाहन सुख, मातृभूमि, जनता से संबंधित कार्य, कुर्सी, कुआँ, दूध, तालाब, गुप्त कोष, उदर आदि का आकलन किया जाता है।
राष्ट्रीय ज्योतिष हेतु शिक्षण संस्थाएँ, कॉलेज, स्कूल, कृषि, जमीन, सर्वसाधारण की प्रसन्नता एवं जनता से संबंधित कार्य एवं स्थानीय राजनीति, जनता के बीच पहचान आदि देखा जाता है।

बचपन में माता या माता के समान किसी गोद का अहसास देता है, जबकि उम्र बढ़ने के साथ साथ हर प्रकार की संपत्ति और स्थायित्व आदि की मजबूती इसी भाव से देखी जाती है।

यह कामनाओं, भावनाओं, मन का विकास स्थान है। मनुष्य के पास शरीर, धन, परिश्रम, शक्ति, इच्छा सभी हों, किंतु कार्य करने की तकनीकी जानकारी का अभाव हो अर्थात् विचार शक्ति का अभाव हो अथवा कर्म विधि का ज्ञान न हो तो जीवन चर्या आगे चलना मुश्किल है।
4^thHOUSE (RULER-CANCER) :: It explains the position and behaviour of mother, happiness, property (inheritance, landed, constructed) conveyances, morel virtues (honesty and sincerity etc.), friends, education, peace of mind, comforts, acquisitions, general welfare, fondness, masses, fame, intelligence, savings, cattle, agricultural grains, trade, weather, residence, tent, pavilion, false allegations, where stolen property is kept, fields, farms, orchards, crops, mines, private affairs, secrets, secret life, in female’s nativity-sex life, Satitv (सतित्व) chastity-celibacy, popularity.

पंचम भाव :: यह सुत अथवा संतान भाव भी कहलाता है। अन्य नाम हैं :- त्रिकोण, पणफर, पंचम। इस भाव से संतान अर्थात् पुत्र-पुत्रियाँ, मानसिकता, मंत्र-तंत्र, ज्ञान, स्मरण शक्ति, विद्या, प्रतिष्टा, विवेक, लेखन, मनोरंजन, प्रेम, सट्टा, लॉटरी, अकस्मात धन लाभ, पूर्वजन्म, गर्भाशय, मूत्राशय, पीठ, प्रशासकीय क्षमता, आय भी जानी जाती है, क्योंकि यहाँ से कोई भी ग्रह सप्तम दृष्टि से आय भाव को देखता है।

यह बालक की तर्क-वितर्क शक्ति को बतलाता है, जबकि उम्र बढ़ने के साथ-साथ शैक्षणिक और व्यावसायिक योग्यता और संतान की स्थिति भी इसी भाव से देखे जाते हैं।

विचार शक्ति को मन के अंतर्गत दिया जाना विकास क्रम के अनुसार ही है।
5^th HOUSE (RULER-LEO) :: It describes the children, intelligence, wisdom, speculation, fame, positions, mind, emotions, 1st conception, sudden wealth, good morals, father, foresight, memory, enjoyment including sex, speculative tendency, flirtations and love affairs, good morals, deity, Bhakti, knowledge of future service, publications, gains to wife, festive occasions, sports, recreations entertainment, amusements, wife’s partner’s dance, opera, lottery, gambling, betting, cards, race horse, shares, stock exchange, crossword puzzles, love affairs, religious mindedness, spiritual practices, rapes, society, romance, mantra Siddhi, carnal pleasures.

षष्टम भाव :: इसे रिपु भाव कहते हैं। अन्य नाम हैं रोग भाव, उपचय, त्रिक, षष्ट। इस भाव से मुख्यत: मामा, जय-पराजय, असफलता, भूत, बंधन, विष प्रयोग, क्रूर कर्म, शत्रु, रोग, ऋण, विघ्न-बाधा, भोजन, चाचा-चाची, अपयश, चोट, घाव, विश्वासघात, पालतू जानवर, नौकर, वाद-विवाद, कोर्ट से संबंधित कार्य, आँत, पेट, सीमा विवाद, आक्रमण, जल-थल सैन्य के बारे में जाना जा सकता है।

यह किसी बच्चे के रोग प्रतिरोधक स्थिति को बतलाता है, जबकि बढ़ती उम्र के साथ रोग के साथ साथ ऋण और शत्रु से लड़ने की क्षमता या प्रभाव की स्थिति भी इसी भाव से देखे जाते हैं।

यदि मनुष्य अड़चनों, विरोधी शक्तियों, मुश्किलों आदि से लड़ न पाए तो जीवन निखरता नहीं है। अत: षष्ठ भाव शत्रु, विरोध, कठिनाइयों आदि के लिए मान्य है।
6^th HOUSE (RULER-VIRGO) :: One can ascertain his position with respect to enemies, debts, diseases, misery, sorrows, wounds, worries, disappointments, illness, accidents, obstacles, scandals, mental, afflictions, injuries, imprisonment, cruel actions, house of deficiency & wants, service, gains, mental stability, wood, timber, stone, instruments, hospitals, prisons, punishment, execution of cruel orders, favourable result in competition, enemy of humanity, center of all six natural enemies of humanity viz., Kam (काम, sexuality, infatuation, sensuality, passion, lust), Krodh (क्रोध, anger), Lobh (लोभ, greed), Moh (मोह, attachment, bonding), Ahankar-Mad (अहंकार, मद, arrogance, ego, proud-intoxication, Irsha (ईर्षा, jealousy), loss in investment purchases made by partner, material prosperity, competition.

सप्तम भाव :: यह पत्नी भाव अथवा जाया भाव कहलाता है। इसके अन्य नाम हैं :- केन्द्र, कंटक, चतुष्टय, सप्तम। इस भाव से विवाह संबंध, पति-पत्नी, विषय-वासना, आमोद-प्रमोद, व्यभिचार, गुप्त रोग, स्त्री से सम्बन्ध, आँत, साझेदारी के व्यापार, वाणिज्य, क्रय-विक्रय, व्यवहार, मूत्राशय के सम्बन्ध में जानकारी प्राप्त होती है।
सार्वजनिक तथा राष्ट्रीय दृष्टिकोण से नैतिकता, विदेशों से संबंध, युद्ध का विचार भी किया जाता है। इसे मारक भाव भी कहते हैं।

एक बच्चे के लिए यह उसके दोस्तों को परिभाषित करता है, पर बड़े होने के बाद व्यवसाय में साथ देने वाले भागीदार और विवाह के पश्चात पति या पत्नी की स्थिति की जानकारी, इसी भाव से पायी जा सकती है।

मनुष्य में यदि दूसरों से मिलकर चलने की शक्ति न हो और वीर्य शक्ति न हो, तो वह जीवन में असफल समझा जायेगा। अत: मिलकर चलने की आदत व वीर्यशक्ति आवश्यक है और उसके लिए भागीदार, जीवन साथी की आवश्यकता होती ही है। अत: वीर्य जीवन साथी, भागीदार आदि का विचार सप्तम भाव से किया जाता है।
7^th HOUSE (RULER- LIBRA) :: The subject can find out his position with respect to his marriage-wife, husband, death, sexual desires, marriage, foreign travels, children, general happiness, business partner, cure of disease, relationship, litigation second wife, recovery of lost property, vital power, hernia, sexual diseases, sexual passion or union, diplomacy and honor in foreign country, trade and speculation, marital happiness, business tact, description of thief, foreign affairs, social interactions, partnership in business, social & official status.

अष्टम भाव :: इसे मृत्यु भाव भी कहते हैं। इसके अन्य नाम हैं :- लय स्थान, पणफर, त्रिक, अष्टम। आठवें भाव से दु:ख-संकट, मानसिक पीड़ा, आर्थिक क्षति, भाग्य हानि, गुप्तांग के रोग, गुप्त धन, आकस्मिक धन लाभ, आयु, मृत्यु, मृत्यु का कारण, स्त्री धन, उत्तराधिकारी, स्वयं द्वारा अर्जित मकान, जातक की स्थिति, वियोग, दुर्घटना, सजा, लांछन आदि का विचार किया जाता है।

इससे बालक के जीवन जीने के स्तर का पता चलता है, परंतु बड़े होने के बाद दिन चर्या और जीवन जीने के ढंग का पता भी इसी भाव से चलता है।

यदि मनुष्य अपने साथ आयु लेकर न आये, तो उसका रंग, रूप, स्वास्थ्य, गुण, व्यापार आदि कोशिशें सब बेकार अर्थात् व्यर्थ हो जायेंगी। अत: अष्टम भाव को आयु भाव माना गया है। आयु का विचार अष्टम से करना चाहिए।

इस भाव से धर्म, भाग्य, गुरू, पिता, पूर्व जन्म के पुण्य-पाप, तीर्थयात्रा, संतान का भाग्य, साला-साली, आध्यात्मिक स्थिति, शुद्धाचरण, ऐश्वर्य, वैराग्य, आयात-निर्यात, यश, ख्याति, सार्वजनिक जीवन, भाग्योदय, पुनर्जन्म आदि का विचार किया जाता है।
सार्वजानिक जीवन में मंदिर-धर्मशाला आदि का निर्माण कराना, योजना, विकास कार्य, न्यायालय से संबंधित कार्य इसके अन्तर्गत आते हैं।

इससे किसी बच्चे का भाग्य देखा जाता है, जबकि बड़े होने के बाद भाग्य के साथ साथ स्वभाव, गुण, धर्म और संयोग भी देखे जाते हैं।

इसको धर्म व भाग्य स्थान माना है। धर्म-कर्म अच्छे होने पर मनुष्य के भाग्य में उन्नति होती है और इसीलिए धर्म और भाग्य का स्थान नवम माना गया है।

Janm Nakshtr (जन्म नक्षत्र) :: It is the Nakshatr, in which the Natal Moon is placed at the time of subject's birth. It provides an insights into one's thinking patterns, characteristics and personality traits. Dasha is calculated with its help. Moon transits through all 27 Nakshatr in a month, completing the zodiac orbit, causing Amavasya-no Moon (अमावश्या) and Poornima-full Moon (पूर्णिमा) by waxing and waning in size.

CLASSIFICATION OF PLANETS ::

Natural Benefice Planets :: Moon, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are considered benefice by nature.

Natural Malefic Planets :: Sun, Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are considered malefic by nature

Generally, Moon and Mercury are not always benefice. Full Moon i.e., the Moon near Purnima is considered benefice, while ‘No Moon’ i.e., Moon near Amavasya is believed not to be benefice. Similarly, if Mercury is placed with benefice planet, it is considered benefice and if placed with malefic, it is considered malefic.

All natural malefic planets do not always produce negative results. Similarly, all natural benefice planets do not always give positive results. Good or bad effect depends up on several other factors like ownership, placement and aspects etc.

Generally, a planet gives positive results in exalted sign (उच्च, uchch-upper, राशि, Rashi), in its own sign (स्व, swa, rashi), and friendly sign (मित्र, Mitr Rashi). Exalted planets give best results, when placed in their own sign. On the other hand, if a planet is positioned in debilitated sign (नीच, Neech Rashi) or enemy’s sign (शत्रु, Shtru-Rashi), it is not capable of giving good results.

Exalted and debilitated signs of a planet are always seventh from each other, e.g., Sun is exalted in Aries, the first sign of zodiac and debilitated in Libra, the seventh sign of zodiac.

Sun and Moon are lord of just one sign.

Other planets are lord of two signs each.

Rahu and Ketu don’t have their own signs. Even exalted and debilitated signs of Rahu and Ketu are not well-accepted.

Generally planets can be classified into two groups that are inimical to each other ::

Group 1 :- Sun, Moon, Mars and Jupiter.

Group 2 :- Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu.

Those planets, which are placed in the signs of friendly planets or located with friendly planets, produce positive results. Similarly, if a planet is situated in sign of enemy planet or positioned with an enemy planet tends to produce diminished positive results.

Example : Saturn and Sun are inimical to each other. So, if Sun is posited in sign of Saturn i.e., Capricorn or Aquarius or Sun is situated with Saturn, it will not be able to give good results. Sun will be weak in giving its results. On the other side, if Sun is with Moon, Mars or Jupiter, who are friendly to Sun or in their signs, it should generally give good results.

BIRTH CHART :: A birth chart tells about the position of planets in houses and signs. In north Indian diagram of birth chart, ascendant sign is written on very first place and then signs are shown from right to left. It means signs are depicted anti-clock wise and the number corresponding to zodiac sign is shown in each box.

HOUSES भाव :: A sample birth chart diagram can be divided into 12 boxes, out of which eight are triangular and four are square shaped. Topmost square is considered to be ascendant or the first house. This space has been shaded in the diagram. Position of ascendant is always fixed in the birth chart. So, when one has to find out ascendant, he will look at the position of shaded box.

Counting in an anti-clock wise direction from first house, the next one-triangular in shape, is called second house and so on. Ascendant is termed as lagn (लग्न).

HOUSE LORD भावेश :: House and sign are two different concepts. Numbers written in horoscope denote zodiac signs. In this illustration one finds 11 placed in first house, which stands for Aquarius acquiring the ascendant or the first house. 12th sign or Pisces is situated in second house. Lords of Aquarius and Pisces are Saturn and Jupiter respectively. Therefore, in astrological language one will say that lord of first house is Saturn (since, 11 is written in first house) and the lord of second house is Jupiter.

POSITION OF PLANETS IN THEIR HOUSE :: Venus and Rahu are placed-posited in in the 5th house. Similarly, Moon and Mars are in 6th, Saturn, Sun and Mercury are in 7th and Jupiter and Ketu are in the 11th house.

ILLUSTRATION :- Consider a person who was born at about 7:00 A.M. i.e. just after the sunrise. That means the Sun will be plotted in the first house (Eastern Horizon).Consider it was a Full Moon Day i.e. Sun and Moon are 180 degrees from each other. That means the Moon will be in the 7th house.

Now finally lets have a look at the following complete birth chart, Janm Kundli where all the planets and the signs are plotted.As you can see that at the time of the birth Leo, Singh Sign, Rashi was arising at the eastern horizon and the birth time must have been near about the sunrise as the Sun is in the first house.

A rough idea can be brought out about the time of the birth by looking at the Sun's position in any chart..

POSITION OF PLANET IN SIGNS :: The number written in the box where planet is posited, shows position of the planet in sign. 3 is written in the box where Venus and Rahu are placed, so these planets are placed in 3rd sign i.e., Gemini. Moon and Mars are in Cancer sign since 4 represents Cancer.

These numbers convey zodiac signs and therefore they are used to ascertain the position of planets in different signs. Predictions are based on nature and significations of planets, signs, houses and their inter-relations.

Astrology treats planets as living being; signs and houses are like those areas, where planets travel. Relationships of planets with each other, with zodiac signs and with houses etc. determine the predictions.

Nature tells about how and signification answers what. Consider Sun to be posited in 10th house i.e., Aries. It will award business. How is this business or trade flourish? It is going to be in accordance with the natures of Sun and Aries. Sun is an aggressive planet and Aries is ruled by Mars that is also aggressive. It shows that the business can be of aggressive nature. So, the subject can either be in defence-police or in sports, where aggression is a necessity. In this fashion, a prediction is made by combining the nature and signification of planets, signs and houses.

RAJ YOG राज योग ::

TRIKON RAJ YOG (त्रिकोंण राज योग) :: (1). Yog of lagnesh (लग्नेश, lord of 1st house) and panchmesh (पंचमेश, lord of the 5th house). (2). Yog of 5th lord and 9th lord. (3). Yog of 1st and 9th lord. (4). The Yog of 1st, 5th & 9th lord makes the person invincible.

Exception :- If the planets involved in this Yog are weak (considering various other factors, Shad bal (बल), Non Shad bal Factors etc. or their dasha (दशा) or antardasha (अन्तर दशा) are not in progress, then these 4 Raj Yog will not show their impact.

‎*Any link between panchmesh (पंचमेश), labhesh (लाभेश) and dhanesh (धनेश) gives rise to great dhan (धन योग) Yog. These three should be in strength configuration. Their dasha are of utmost importance.

*Yog of panchmesh with dashmesh (दशमेश) give rise to great success in politics.

*Again combination of saptmesh (सप्तमेश), bhagyesh (भाग्येश) and dashmesh gives rise to great Yog for politics: These three play a major role in Shri Nath (श्री नाथ) Yog.

Although Parivartan (परिवर्तन, change) between trikond and Kendr (केन्द्र) are always auspicious, but the following Yog has no match.

(1). 9th lord in 10th, 10th lord in 11th and 11th lord in 9th, (2). Parivartan-movement-change-switch over between 9th and 10th lord & 10th and 11th lord & 11th and 9th lord. (2). Lord of 3rd house in 10th gives great career in management. If Mars in Sun is involved in the above Yog, then the auspicious effects increases drastically.

जन्मपत्री में उच्च अधिकारी बनने के योग यदि कुंडली में

(1). स्‍थिर लग्न हो और लग्न में शुक्र स्थित हो। शुक्र की स्‍थिति जितनी अच्छी होगी, उसी के अनुसार उच्च पद प्राप्त होगा।

(2). कुंडली में चर लग्न हो और लग्नेश से केंद्र में बृहस्पति स्थित हो, तो बृहस्पति की स्थि‍ति के अनुसार ही उच्च पद प्राप्त होगा।

(3). कुंडली में द्विस्वभाव लग्न हो और लग्न के ‍त्रिकोण में मंगल हो।

उपरोक्त तीनों योगों में योग बनाने वाला ग्रह अस्त नहीं होना चाहिए और दूसरे यह जितना अधिक बलवान होगा, उतना ही अधिक शुभ फलदायी होगा।

(4). लग्नेश दशम भाव में तथा दशमेश लग्न में स्थित हो तथा बृहस्पति से दृष्ट हो।

(5). जिस राशि में नवमेश हो, उसका स्वामी जिस राशि में है, उस राशि का स्वामी यदि उच्च राशि में हो तथा लग्नेश लग्न से केंद्र में शुभ ग्रह से युत हो, तो यह योग भी जातक को उच्च पदाधिकारी बना देता है।

(6). नवमेश जिस राशि में हो, उस राशि का स्वामी यदि अपनी उच्च र‍ाशि में स्थित होकर लग्न से दूसरे भाव में हो तथा धनेश अपनी उच्च राशि में हो, तो इस योग वाला जातक भी उच्च पदाधिकारी होता है।

(7). दशम भाव में चंद्रमा स्‍थित हो तथा दशमेश अपनी उच्च राशि में हो एवं भाग्येश लग्न से द्वितीय भाव में हो।

(8). पंचम तथा एकादश भाव में (दोनों भावों में) सौम्य ग्रह स्थित हों तथा दूसरे व आठवें भाव में पाप ग्रह हों।

(9). सभी सातों ग्रह मेष, कर्क, तुला व मकर, इन राशियों में हों अथवा इनमें एक ही में, दो में, तीन में या चारों में हों।

(10). बृहस्पति द्वितीय भाव या नवम भाव का स्वामी हो तथा नवमेश जिस नवांश में हो, उसका स्वामी बृहस्पति से युत हो एवं दोनों द्वितीय भाव में स्थित हों। यह योग केवल मेष, कर्क, वृश्चिक व कुंभ लग्न वाली कुंडलियों पर ही लागू हो सकता है।

(11). लग्न से दशम भाव में सूर्य स्थित हो तथा दशमेश लग्न से तीसरे भाव में स्थि‍त हों।

(12). चंद्रमा व बृहस्पति दोनों लग्न से द्वितीय भाव में स्थित हों, द्वितीयेश लाभ भाव में हो तथा लग्नेश शुभ ग्रह से युत हों।

(13). कुंडली में नवमेश व दशमेश का परस्पर स्थान विनिमय हो (अर्थात नवमेश दशम भाव में तथा दशमेश नवम भाव में हो) तथा लग्नेश नवम या दशम भाव में हो तथा लग्नेश पर बृहस्पति की दृष्टि हो।

(14). मकर लग्न कुंडली में लग्न से पंचम में चंद्रमा, सप्तम में सूर्य व बुध हों, अष्टम भाव में गुरु व शुक्र हों तथा एकादश भाव में शनि हो।

(16). मिथुन लग्न कुंडली में दशम भाव में गुरु व शुक्र स्‍थित हों।

(17). मकर लग्न कुंडली में पंचम भाव में चंद्रमा हो, लग्न में बुध व शुक्र तथा नवम भाव में बृहस्पति हो।

(18). धनु लग्न कुंडली में बृहस्पति बारहवें भाव में तथा शनि लाभ भाव में हो।

(19). कुंडली में लग्नेश तथा चंद्र (चंद्रमा जिस राशि में हो, उसका स्वामी) दोनों केंद्र में अपने मित्र की राशि में युत हों तथा लग्न बलवान हो।

(20). कुंभ लग्न की कुंडली में तीसरे भाव में उच्च राशि का सूर्य बैठा हो।

(21). तुला लग्न कुंडली में अष्टम भाव में बृहस्पति, नवम भाव में शनि तथा ग्यारहवें भाव में मंगल तथा बुध हो।

(22). धनु लग्न कुंडली में सूर्य व बृहस्पति दोनों ही दशम भाव में स्थित हों।

(23). कुंडली में मंगल अपनी उच्च राशि या स्वराशि का होकर दशम भाव में बैठा हो तथा उस पर लग्नेश की दृष्टि भी हो।

(24). मंगल, सूर्य, बुध, बृहस्पति, शनि, दशम भाव तथा दशमेश- इन सबकी स्थि‍‍ति जितनी अच्छी होगी, उतना अधिक उच्चस्थान-पद प्राप्त होगा।

TRANSACTION BETWEEN TWO HOUSES ::

(1). 2nd and 12th house, 6th & 10th house, 8th and 5th house & 8th and 4th house does not grant desirable-good results.

(2). Parivartan between bad and good house cannot grant auspicious-good-great results.

Example :- If 5th and 10th lords are involved in Parivartan-change, then the next step would be to observe their placements.

(3). If both Shubh-auspicious houses are involved the the result would be beneficial and if both Pap houses are involved results would be auspicious.

(4). If one house is shubh-auspicious and the other is bad-inauspicious then even a Parivartan between 5th and 10th lord will not give its full auspicious impact.

Any way one will move ahead.

(5). Since, both Jupiter and Mercury have dual Rashi’s under their control (3, 6, 9, 12) their Yog interfere in decision making capabilities.

(6). But again Yog of Jupiter and Mercury makes the native very learned in 2nd, 1st , 4th and 5th, 7th houses.

(7). If all the planets are in 5th, 9th and 1st from each other or in Kendr from each other then this gives rise to very powerful Raj Yog.

(8). If all the Pap Grah (पापग्रह) are in 3rd, 6th, 11th and 12th houses and all shubh planets are in Kendr and trikond (त्रिकोण, त्रिभुज, triangle) and 2nd house, the native will become the greatest rule.

(9). If all the shubh planets are in 3rd, 6th , 12th and 11th and all the Pap planets are in Shubh houses then this gives rise to powerful Vipreet (anti, opposite, adverse, retro gate) RAJ YOG. THE native will rule the earth.

KEM DRUM YOG : When no planet is sitting-present-associated with Moon, no planet is aspecting Moon & no planet is in quadrant from moon and no planet is present 12th and 2nd houses from Moon, except Sun, Rahu Ketu. Then this leads to very inauspicious Yog called Kem Drum Yog, which leads to poverty. But, if this Yog gets cancelled then it leads to a very powerful Yog called Kalp Drum, which can give enormous wealth, power and fame. Any strong planet in Kendr from Moon has the power to cancel the effect of Kem Drum Yog. As the strength of the planet in the Kendr from Moon enhances-increases power-strength of the Kalp Drum Raj Yog too increases.

HEAD OF STATE (CM, PM) :: When Sun, Jupiter and Moon are in a very strong position they may lead the native to the post of the head of the state.

MESH LAGAN (मेष लग्न) :- (1). Mars and Jupiter in lagan, Sun in 9th house and all other planets are present in 11th or 2nd house. (2). Jupiter and Sun in lagan, Mars in the 10th house and all other planets in 11th or in 2nd house.

SHIV RAJ YOG :: 5th lord placed in 9th house, 9th lord in 10th house, 10th lord in 5th house or aspects in 5th house. All the planets involved here should be in strength configuration and their Dash should be under progress.

JAY RAJ YOG :: When the lord of the 6th house is deliberated and the lord of the 10th is deeply exalted.

KUSUM RAJ YOG :: If Jupiter is in Lagan, the Moon in the 7th and the Sun in the 8th house from Moon

ANSHAVTAR RAJ YOG :: When Venus and Jupiter are in Kendr, the Lagan must fall in a movable sign and Saturn must be exalted in Kendr. Results of these Yog, can be modified in different ways.

BHAGY RAJ YOG :: When Shubh planets aspects 9th house, from 3rd, 1st and 5th house; planets should be in strength configuration. Any planets can aspect 9th from 3rd but only Jupiter can aspect 9th from 1st and 5th. For Cancer Lagan, Bhagy Yog can be very powerful, when Jupiter is in exalted Lagan.

MATASY RAJ YOG :: Benefices in 1st and 9th house, malefic in 3rd and 8th house and both malefic and benefice in 5th house. The native with Matsy Yog will have a sign of fish on his hand or feet. Native with Sankhy and Shri Nath Yog will have a sign of conch on his feet or hand.

MAKAR LAGAN :: Saturn, Venus are purely Yog Karak. Mercury owns 9th house too along with 6th house. Yog of Saturn and Venus in any of the Trikon. Saturn Mercury or Mercury Venus will also do. But Saturn a will give pure Raj Yog. Yog of Chandr Mangal is also Yog Karak for Makar lagan

LAGAN ADI RAJ YOG :: Benefices in 6th , 7th and 8th house in strength from lagan or Moon gives rise to powerful Lagan Adi Yog. Ashubh Prabhav-impact-effect, will decrease its strengths.

KHAL RAJ YOG :: (1). 3rd lord should be very strong and should be in Yuti with 10th lord. (2). Lagan lord should be very strong and Bandhu lord is placed with Jupiter.

SHARAD RAJ YOG :: (1). If Jupiter or Mercury is in Trine from Moon and Mars is in Labh Sthan. (2). 10th lord in 5th, Mercury in Kendra and Sun in Leo.

KHADAG RAJ YOG :: Exchange between 2nd and 9th lord, while lagan lord is very strong.

BHARI RAJ YOG :: (1). 9th lord should be very strong, 1st, 2nd, 12th and 7th Bhav should be occupied. Ashubh Prabhav should be minimum. (2). Venus, Jupiter and lagan lord are in Kendr. They should be in strong.

KALP DRUM RAJ YOG :: Depositor of Lagan Lord (a), depositor of (a) to (b) and Navansh depositor of (b); all these three should mutually occupy Kendr or Trikon and they should be in strength configuration.

EMPEROR :: (1). Moon is exalted in 6th house, Jupiter exalted in 8th house, Sun Swarashi in 9th house, Mercury exalted in 10th house, Saturn in 2nd house (Swarashi-own house) and Venus in 7th house. The native will have a large empire, if Venus is exalted in 9th house, Sun exalted in 10th house with Mercury. (2). Mars in lagan, Moon in 5th house (Change, Parivartan between Moon and Mars) and Jupiter and Saturn in 12th house. Conclusion to be made only after appropriately judging the strength of all the planets, especially Dasha Lords. (3). If Moon is Vargottammi and all the planets are aspecting this Moon in Lagan chart and Navansh chart, the person will rule over entire earth.

ARIES LAGAN :: If Moon, Mars and Jupiter are sitting in Lagan in stronger position and

Mars and Moon are present in the Dasha of Jupiter, the native will rule over entire earth.

VIRGO LAGAN :: If Mercury is placed in Lagan, Venus in 10th house, Jupiter and Moon in 7th house, Saturn and Mars in 5th house, the native will rule over entire earth.

DHAN YOG :: 5th, 2nd and 11th houses and Lords in Parivartan with each other or Lords present in these very houses aspecting each other with their strengths intact. Exchange of 2nd and 11th Lords; 2nd Lord being Venus, 11th Lord being Moon, exalted Mercury in Lagan, Saturn exalted in 2nd house. For complete uninterrupted effects Lagan Lord, 2nd Lord, 11th lord, 5th and 9th Lord should also be in strength both in Lagan and Navansh charts.

Presence of Saturn and Mars in the Capricorn Lagan and Sun and Moon in Dhanu Rashi in 12th house, rest of all the planets should be present in 9th or 10th house.

This give rise to a king whose enemies would bend in front of him subjected to scare.

If the Atm Karak and Amaty Karak, simultaneously becomes the Lord of 9th and 10th houses and are placed in Kendr or Trikon (in strength) and if the other planets also give the adequate support, then most definitely in the Dasha of these Lords, native will ascend to the throne.

When Jupiter alone occupies Lagan in strength (-well placed in Navansh), it destroy all negative aspects in the chart making the native-a king. It should not be Lord of 3rd, 6th, 8th houses. This is not applicable to conjunction of Jupiter with 3rd, 6th, 8th, 12th Lords etc.

Venus or Mercury also perform the same function if replaced with Jupiter, provided these three are alone.

When Jupiter is placed in Singh or Dhanu Rashi and all the other planets are placed in Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn the native would be Lord-emperor-rule over the whole country.

When Sun is placed in the 3rd house alone, Jupiter in 5th house alone, Moon in 9th house alone and all the three have appropriate strength. Rest of the planets occupy 11th house the native would be equivalent to Lord Kuber-the king of Yaksh and deity of wealth.

When Jupiter alone is placed in Lagan in Mithun, in strength, Mercury alone is placed in 7th house in Dhanu Rashi, in strength, Venus alone is placed in 11th house in Mesh Rashi in strength, Sun alone in 9th house in Kumbh, in strength, Moon alone in 2nd house Sw Rashi, Saturn alone in 12th house in Vrash Rashi in strength and Mars alone in 10th house in Meen in strength, the native will rule over the whole world. When Venus alone is placed in Lagan, Moon in 4th house and Sun alone in 11th in strength forms Shtrunjay Yog. One will become a powerful king and achieve victory when he travels to win the country.

When Venus alone is placed in Lagan, Moon alone in 4th house and Jupiter alone in 10th house in strength creates Mragendr (मृगेन्द्र) Yog. One will become a powerful king and achieve victory when he travels to win the country.

MAHA MATASY RAJ YOG :: Whenever Jupiter or Venus or both occupies the Rashi identical with the Navansh Rashi of 9th Lord in the Lagan chart, this great Yog occurs. Native would be an Astrologer, very merciful, ocean of virtues, be a king, firm in disposition, will attract females, will have a charming personality, will be endowed with good spouse, sons, intelligence and abundant wealth, will head a country.

MOKSH YOG :: Whenever Jupiter or Venus or both are placed in the Rashi which is 12th from Navansh ascendant, identical with Lagan leads the native to Moksh.

KALA NIDHI YOG :: (1). Lagnesh should be placed in Kendr with Dik Bal, (2). Jupiter and Venus should simultaneously aspect or conjunct this Lagnesh.

MAHA PURUSH-GREAT MAN :: One who (1). is kind hearted, compassionate for the humanity as a whole, (2). possesses a healthy body, (3). has family support with his near and dear ones around him, having good personal life, (4). has untenable belief in God, (5). attains world wide fame, respect and power, (6). has sufficient money at his disposal.

Maha Dasha is made up of 9 Antar Dasha out of which lords of 8 Antar Dasha are different from the Maha Dasha Lord itself.

When one has a very strong and well placed Maha Dasha Lord (like exalted Saturn in Lagan), then it doesn't mean that whole Maha Dasha would be very good or one will experience Maha Purush Raj Yog.

For the whole Maha Dasha to be auspicious, each of those 8 Antar Dasha Lords should be in strength, well placed and most importantly should compliment the objectives of each other-in a very cordial manner.

In other words to have an extraordinary chart, all the 9 planets should be well placed and should be in strength in both Lagan and Navansh chart or above all they all should be in symphony with each other.

Coordination helps all the planets to be in strength and compliment each other at the right time.

It is very important that the Maha Dasha of the strongest planet of the chart comes between the life time of 20-60 years of native's life.

If Venus and sun are exalted and well placed and are even without any malefic influence but if their Maha Dasha’s are occurring after 70 years or before 20 years their effect will be diluted.

Experiencing the Maha Dasha of the strongest planet in the chart within the span of 20-50 years is a total bliss-pleasure when all Antar Dasha support the Maha Dasha's auspicious motive.

Kendr-Trikon, or Trikon-Trikon or Kendr-Kendra Yog in these kind of charts, where the planets involved would be auspicious from every angle (placement, strengths etc.).

(1). Jupiter's Yog with Sun, Moon or Mars, (2). Saturn's Yog with Venus, Mercury or Sun, (3). Venus's Yog with Mercury, Jupiter, Moon or Saturn, (4). Mercury's Yog with Venus, Saturn or Sun, (5). Mars Yog with Jupiter or Moon, (6). Sun's Yog with Jupiter, moon, Saturn or Mercury, (7). Moon's Yog with Jupiter, Sun, Venus or Mars; In the Rashi's of these very planets only, considering all these planets to be in strength from all angles. Rashi's could be an exception in case a planet is also involved in Vipreet Raj Yog or Neech Bhang Raj Yog or when it is getting exalted in enemy's Rashi. When the planets involved are well placed and are in strengths, result’s in the minimum number of planetary wars. Hence they start complementing each other.

Examples:

(1). Jupiter is placed in 8th house being the Lord of 3rd and 6th houses, will give Saral Vipreet Yog (just opposite) which is good. Placement of Jupiter in 8th house is not a desirable thing to happen. Jupiter is sitting in its enemy’s sign. Jupiter is aspected by both Saturn and Rahu. As a result complete result of this placement of Jupiter cannot be experienced

(2). Venus is placed in Lagan in Libra, though in its own sign. Both Mars and Rahu are aspecting this Venus. Venus is placed with Mars, Saturn and Rahu. Here Venus is in its Mrat Avastha (मृत अवस्था, dead, >27 degrees). So, complete result of this Venus cannot be experienced

(3). Sun is placed in 10th house, gaining direction strength but again there are some problems. The sun is debilitated. Saturn, Mars and Rahu are aspecting this sun. The sign Lord of Sun is very very weak. Karak of 10th house are also weak. Sun will not give its full effect.

(4). Moon is placed in its own sign in 4th house, where it also gains directional strength, but there is no other planet with moon, no planet is aspecting moon, no planet is in Kendr from moon, no planet in 2nd and 12th house with respect to moon. Hence moon is now alone and helpless. This would be the case when Saturn, Mars and Rahu simultaneously aspected or conjoined this Moon without any benefice influence.

RAJ YOG ILLUSTRATED IN SARAVALI ::

(1). A valorous king is denoted, who will acquire kingdom with his own might, if the Moon is placed on the 15th degree of any Sign, but obtaining 5 Vargas of one and the same Sign.

(2). If Saturn occupies the 5th degree of Capricorn, a fortunate king is born, who will be adorable on the earth, be meritorious and be interested in Shastr.

(3). Saturn in the 11th, Jupiter with Venus in the Ascendant, the Moon in the 10th, the Sun in the 4th, and Mercury in the 2nd along with Mars: this configuration will make one a king endowed with vast Army, wealth and conveyances.

(4). If Mars is placed in the 7th degree of Aries, or in the 21st degree of Gemini, the native will become a king.

(5). If the Moon is in the 8th degree of Aquarius identical with a Trine one will become a king, who will be favourable to all.

Trine :: an aspect of 120° (one third of a circle) of a planet) be in a trine aspect with (another planet or position). e.g., Jupiter trines Pluto all month.

(6). If at birth the Moon is positioned in the 15th degree of Aquarius, or in the 10th degree of Cancer, one will become a king.

(7). If the Full Moon in Pisces is in aspect to a friendly planet, the subject will become an emperor whose orders be obeyed by all.

(8). Even though the native may have been born out of wedlock’s, the Moon with Saturn in an Angle will make on wealthy king.

(9). If the Moon is aspected by Jupiter from Taurus, the native will rule over the entire earth.

(10). If the Moon is aspected by any planet from its exaltation/Mool Trikon/own Sign, even a hunter will become a king.

(11). Even a villager will become a king, if he has Saturn in the Ascendant and Jupiter in the 7th, one of them being in aspect to Venus.

(12). The native will doubtless become a king, if Venus rises in a Rashi of Jupiter in aspect to Jupiter himself, while Mercury is in exaltation.

(13). If the Moon is in the 3rd, or the 10th House, while Jupiter is exalted, the native will be a ruler of the entire earth endowed with Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth.

(14). If Jupiter is exalted and is simultaneously in an Angle, while Venus occupies the 10th, the subject will be a famous king, lording over the entire earth.

(15). If Jupiter occupies the Ascendant, other than Capricorn, one born will be a king endowed with elephants etc.

(16). When even the weak Moon in exaltation can herself produce a king what of Full Moon in exaltation?

(17). If the Full Moon occupies an Angle other than the Ascendant, the native will be a king endowed with wealth, conveyances and valor.

(18). If Venus is in aspect to Jupiter, the native will become a valorous king possessing many elephants.

(19). Should the Ascendant Lord in exaltation aspect the Moon, the subject will become a king endowed with wealth and conveyances and will conquer his enemies.

(20). One will become a fortunate king and endowed with fame and success over rivals, if exalted Moon aspects both Mercury and Venus.

(21). The subject will be a ruler endowed with perennial wealth, if the Moon occupies the Navansh of a bosom friend in aspect to Venus.

(22). Should the Moon, Jupiter and Venus be, respectively, positioned in Pisces, Cancer and Aquarius, the native will become a ruler.

(23). Should Jupiter be in Cancer, while Mars occupies Aries identical with the Ascendant, or should both Jupiter and Mars be in Aries Ascendant, the native will become a ruler whose enemies dare not approach him, while his minister will be favourable to him.

(24). One will become an unconquerable king, with knowledge of the Vedas, if he takes birth in Capricorn Ascendant with exalted Mars, if it opposed by Full Moon in Cancer.

(25). If exalted Sun is in the Ascendant along with the Moon, the native will become a ruler, who will be endowed with pleasing appearance and with whose very reminiscence the enemies will shed tears and will sparkle fire of grief in their hearts.

(26). Should the Moon be in the 4th house simultaneously falling in a watery Navansh and be with all her splendour, while a benefice is in its own House identical with the Ascendant and malefic are away from Angles, a king is born.

(27). Should the Moon be in her deep exaltation degree in aspect to Venus, while all malefic are relegated to 3rd , 6th, 9th and 12th Houses, one will become a king.

(28). If the Ascendant Lord and the Moon Sign Lord are together in an Angle at birth, in aspect to auspicious and friendly planets, unaspected by malefic and not being defeated by enemies, the native will become a plentiful king. Alternatively the Moon should be in Lagan and the Lagan Lord in the 9th thereof. The black forest bees consuming the ichor of his Army elephants will sing the glory of such native in all directions.

Ichor :: पीप, मवाद, देवताओं की नसों में (रक्‍त की भॉंति) बहने वाला द्रव्‍य, Pus-a watery discharge from a wound.

(29). Even, if one planet occupies its own Panchmansh, the subject will become a ruler. If all are endowed with strength he becomes an emperor.

Panchansh division is a little bit different from Trimansh. In odd Signs the Panchansh (i.e., 6 degrees in length) ruler ships are in order: Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus. The reverse holds good in the case of even Signs.

(30). If the Moon is aspected by any planet from its exaltation/Mool Trikon/own Sign, even a hunter will become a king.

(31). If the Moon is in a watery Sign/Navansh, while benefice is in the Ascendant and in his own Ansh, the native will become a ruler endowed with many elephants and the like. In this Yoga, malefic should, however, not be in Angles.

(32). If the Lord of the Ascendant is in the Ascendant itself, or is in a friendly Sign in aspect to a friendly planet, the native will become a ruler, destroying his enemies, provided there is a benefice in the Ascendant.

AMRAT YOG :: When Saturn and Moon are together and are not under any malefic influence what so ever the case may be, then it is simply called Amrat Yog. It is especially beneficial in the 10th and 11th houses It is considered to be auspicious in 4th house too. This Yog is further beneficial, if it happens to be occurring in Capricorn, Aquarius, Libra, Cancer, Taurus, Sagittarius and Pieces signs.

(1). When Jupiter Joins the Amrat Yog either through aspect or conjunction, then it leads to Hans-Guru Amrat Yog.

(2). When Venus Joins the Amrat Yog either through aspect or conjunction, then it leads to Malavay-Shukr Amrat Yog.

(3). When Mercury Joins the Amrat Yog either through aspect or conjunction, it leads to Bhadr-Buddh Amrat Yog.

(4). If more than one out of Venus, Jupiter and mercury joins the Amrat Yog either through aspect or conjunction, it goes by the name of Maha Amrat Yog.

The results of these different types of Amrat Yog are rated similar to that of Maha Purush Yog. Effects are declared only after due consideration of the strength of the planets involved.

Measurement of the Strength of a planet is done with the help of all the Shad Bal and non Shad Bal factors.

Strength through Shad bal consists of :: (1). Sthan Bal-Uchch bal, Sapt Vargaj Bal, Oj Yugm Bal, Dreshkan Bal, Kendr Bal etc., (2). Dik Bal, (3). Drik Bal, (4). Cheshta Bal, (5). Naesargik Bal, (6). Kal Bal-Nato Nat Bal, Paksh Bal, Varsh, Mas, Din, Hora Bal, Ayan Bal, Yuddh Bal etc.)

Apart from Shad Bal one has to see many other Non-Shad Bal factors like, determining:

(1). Strength of sign Lord of a planet (sign Lord has to be analysed separately for strength with the help of other concepts), (2). Strength of Navansh sign Lord of a planet. (Navansh sign Lord has to be analysed separately for strength with the help of other concepts), (3). Strength which comes from Vargottam (-both Rashi and Bhav) concept, (4). Strength which comes from Pushkar Navansh and Bhag concept, (5). Strength which gets lost through Combustion, (6). Strength which gets lost through bad Avastha, (7). Strength which gets lost through Planetary War, (viii) Strength which comes from different house placements of the planet. (Like Ith Lord in Pth house), (9). Strength which comes from Argala concept. (10). Strength which comes from Arudha concept, (11). Strength which gets lost through Maran Sthan concept etc.

These concepts are not part of Shad Bal and have to be applied with respect to all the planets, only after that prediction should be made.

शुभ लग्न-घड़ी-मुहूर्त विचार :: ज्योतिष की भाषा में शुभ और अशुभ समय को ही मुहूर्त कहा गया है। मानव जीवन से जुड़े 16 संस्कारों एवं दैनिक कार्यकलापों के संदर्भ में भी मुहूर्त की बहुत उपयोगिता है। कोई भी शुभ कार्य प्रारम्भ करने से पहले मुहूर्त विचार लेना उचित रहता है। अगर मुहूर्त शुभ न हो तो काम को सही समय के लिए टाल देना चाहिए। अच्छा ये होगा की पहले ही समय रहते मुहूर्त दिखा लिया जाये। इस कार्य के लिए विद्वान-अनुभवी पण्डित का चयन अति आवश्यक है। जन्म कुंडली के न होने पर भी ज्यादा उपयोगी हो जाता है। सौभाग्य शील व्यक्ति भी मुहूर्त विचार से लाभन्वित होते हैं। शादी-विवाह, नव मंगल कार्य, मकान-दुकान,यात्रा आदि के लिए महूर्त विचार अति आवश्यक है। क्रूर कार्य के लिये क्रूर कार्य के लिए कठोर और क्रूर नक्षत्रों का विचार किया जाना चाहिए। अच्छे-शुभ मुहूर्त के लिए लग्न का शुद्ध होना भी आवश्यक है। अत: मुहूर्त का विचार करते समय लग्न की शुद्धि का भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए। अगर नवमांश भी शुद्ध हो तो इससे बेहतर और क्या होगा। मुहूर्त की सफलता के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि अष्टम भाव में कोई ग्रह न हो और जातक के लग्न स्थान में शुभ ग्रह विराजमान हो। ऐसा न होने पर देखें कि त्रिकोण एवं केन्द्र में शुभ ग्रह हों तथा तीसरे, छठे, ग्यारहवें भाव में पाप ग्रह हों और लग्न, चन्द्रमा और कार्य भाव पाप कर्तरी में नहीं हों अर्थात लग्न चन्द्र से दूसरे तथा बारहवें भाव में पाप ग्रह न हों।

मुहूर्त विचार में सावधानियाँ :: (1). रिक्ता तिथियों यानी चतुर्थी, नवमी एवं चतुदर्शी के दिन रोजगार सम्बन्धी कोई भी नया काम और शुभ एवं मांगलिक कार्य अमावस्या तिथि में शुरू नहीं करना चाहिए।

(2). रविवार, मंगलवार एवं शनिवार के दिन समझौता एवं सन्धि-सुलह-सफाई नहीं करनी चाहिए।

(3). यदि दिन, तिथि व नक्षत्र का योग दिन 13 आये उस दिन उत्सव का आयोजन नहीं करना चाहिए।

(4). नन्दा तिथियों एवं प्रतिपदा, षष्ठी और एकादशी तिथि के दिन नवीन योजना पर कार्य शुरू नहीं करना चाहिए।

(5). कोई ग्रह जब उदय या अस्त हो रहा हो तो, उसके तीन दिन पहले और तीन दिन बाद तक कोई भी नया काम नहीं करना चाहिए।

(6). जन्म राशि और जन्म नक्षत्र का स्वामी जब अस्त, वक्री अथवा शत्रु ग्रहों के बीच हों तब आय एवं जीवन से जुड़े विषय को विस्तार नहीं देना चाहिए।

(7). मुहूर्त की सफलता हेतु क्षय तिथि का भी त्याग करना चाहिए।असफलता से बचने के लिए जन्म राशि से चौथी, आठवीं और बारहवीं राशि पर जब चन्द्र हो तो उस समय नया काम शुरू नहीं करना चाहिए।

(8). देवशयन काल में बच्चों को स्कूल में दाखिला नहीं दिलाना चाहिए। अधिकतर लोग इस काल में शुभ कार्यारम्भ से बचते हैं।

(9). बुधवार के दिन उधार देना व मंगलवार को उधार लेना मुहूर्त की दृष्टि से शुभ नहीं माना जाता।

(10). नया वाहन-सवारी खरीदते समय ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि जातक की राशि से चन्द्रमा घात राशि पर मौजूद नहीं है।

स्वयं सिद्ध मुहूर्त :: (1). चैत्र शुक्ल प्रतिपदा, (2). वैशाख शुक्ल तृतीया (अक्षय तृतीया, (3). आश्विन शुक्ल दशमी (विजय दशमी), (4). दीपावली के प्रदोष काल का आधा भाग, (5). भड्डली-भड़रिया नवमी (आषाढ़ शुक्ल नवमी), (6). देवप्रबोधनी एकादशी (कार्तिक शुक्ल एकादशी), (7). बसंत पंचमी (माघ शुक्ल पंचमी), एवं (8). फुलेरा दूज (फाल्गुन शुक्ल द्वितीया)। इन तिथियों में किसी भी कार्य को करने के लिए पंचांग शुद्धि देखने की आवश्यकता नहीं रहती। फिर भी विवाह जैसे विशेष कार्य में पंचांग में दिए गए मुहूर्तों को ही स्वीकार करना ही श्रेयस्कर होता है।

सिद्धयोग :: (1). अगर शुक्रवार के दिन नन्दा तिथि अर्थात प्रतिपदा, षष्ठी या एकादशी पड़े तो बहुत ही शुभ माना जाता है, (2). भद्रा तिथियानी द्वितीया, सप्तमी, द्वादशी अगर बुधवार के दिन हो, (3). जया तिथि यानी तृतीय, अष्टमी या त्रयोदशी अगर मंगलवार के दिन पड़े तो यह बहुत ही मंगलमय है, (4). चतुर्थ, नवम और चतुर्दशी को रिक्ता तिथि अगर शनिवार के दिन पड़े, (5). पंचमी, दशमी, पूर्णिमा, अमावस को पूर्णा तिथि में बृहस्पतिवार हो।

तुला राशि का स्वामी शुक्र है। मूहूर्त साधन में यह प्रेम और मांगलिक कार्यों में शुभ परिणाम दायक होता है। कृषि सम्बन्धी कार्य इस लग्न में शुभ होता है। कारोबार एवं व्यवसाय के लिए भी यह शुभ लग्न है। इस लग्न में तीर्थ यात्रा एवं किसी विशेष कार्य हेतु यात्रा किया जा सकता है। संचय और भण्डारण के लिए तुला लग्न शुभ परिणामदायक होता है। इस लग्न में धन का निवेश लाभकारी माना जाता है।

वृश्चिक मंगल की राशि है। इस राशि में ओज, साहस और पराक्रम का समावेश होता है।मुहूर्त के अनुसार इस लग्न के दौरान सरकारी काम को पूरा कर सकते हैं। साहसिक कार्यो के लिए मुहूर्त शास्त्र में इस लग्न को उत्तम मन जाता है। कठिन कार्यो को पूरा करने के लिए भी यह लग्न श्रेष्ठ माना गया है। राज्यारोहण एवं शत्रुओं से बदला लेने के लिए इस मुहूर्त का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।

धनु गुरू की राशि है। इस राशि में मांगलिक कार्य संपादित किये जा सकते हैं। विवाह के लिए इस लग्न को शुभ माना गया है। इस लग्न में धार्मिक यात्राएं एवं कारोबार के प्रयोजन से यात्रा का विचार किया जा सकता है। भूमिका स्वामित्व प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। यज्ञों एवं धार्मिक कार्यो का आयोजन किया जा सकता है। वाहन खरीदने के लिए भी इसे श्रेष्ठ लग्न माना गया है।

मकर शनि की राशि है। इस लग्न में घर का निर्माण किया जा सकता है। खेती से सम्बन्धित कार्य किये जा सकते हैं। जल क्षेत्र से सम्बन्धित कार्य के लिए भी यह लग्न शुभकारी होता है। जल यात्रा का विचार इस लग्न में किया जा सकता है। पशुओं के कारोबार एवं उनसे सम्बन्धित कार्य के लिए मकर लग्न का प्रयोग अनुकूल परिणामदायक होता है।

कुम्भ राशि का स्वामी भी शनि है। जल क्षेत्र से सम्बन्धित कार्य के लिए यह उत्तम लग्न माना गया है। इस लग्न में जलयात्रा का विचार कर सकते हैं। संग्रह कर सकते हैं। शपथ पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर कर सकते हैं। यात्रा की योजना भी इस लग्न में किया जा सकता है। वाहन खरीदने के लिए भी इस लग्न का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।

गुरू बृहस्पति मीन लग्न के स्वामी है। मुहूर्त साधना में मीन लग्न के अन्तर्गत शिक्षा एवं ज्ञानार्जन से सम्बन्धित कार्य किये जा सकते हैं। विवाह प्रसंग में भी मीन शुभकारी होता है। जलीय वस्तुओ का कारोबार एवं इससे सम्बन्धित कार्य मीन लग्न में अनुकूल होता है। कृषि कार्य के लिए मीन लग्न को शुभ कहा गया है। यात्रा के लिएइसे उत्तम लग्न माना गया है। पशुओं से सम्बन्धित कार्य एवं पशुपालन के लिए मीन उत्तम मुहूर्त होता है। संगीत, नृत्य या अभिनय के क्षेत्र में नक्षत्र मृगशिरा, रेवती, अनुराधा, हस्त, पुष्य, पूर्वाफाल्गुनी, ज्येष्ठा और उत्तराषाढ़ा हो तो ये अति उत्तम हैं।

नलकूप, तालाब, सरोवर, कुआँ खोदने के लिए :: उत्तराफाल्गुनी उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तराभाद्रपद, रोहिणी अनुराधा, घनिष्ठा, हस्त शतभिषा मघा, पूर्वाषाढा, रेवती, मृगशिरा और पुष्य नक्षत्र को शुभ माना गया है। उस दिन अगर लग्न बलवान हो, बुध या बृहस्पति लग्न में स्थित हो या शुक्र दशम भाव में हो और चन्द्रमा कर्क वृश्चिक या मीन राशि में हो तो खुदाई करने के लिए उत्तम योग होता है।चतुर्थी, नवमी और चतुर्दशी ये रिक्ता तिथि कहे जाते हें अत: इन तिथियों को छोड़कर किसी भी तिथि में ट्यूबबेल लगाया जा सकता है और तालाब खुदवाया जा सकता है।

समझौता वार्ता :: इसके लिये पुष्य, अनुराधा और पूर्वाफाल्गुनी नक्षत्र अनुकूल होते हैं। सोमवार, बुधवार, बृहस्पतिवार और शुक्रवार समझौता करने के लिए शुभ माने गये हैं। अष्टमी और द्वादशी तिथि बहुत ही शुभ होती है। लग्न पर अगर शुक्र की दृष्टि हो तो यह और भी उत्तम स्थिति मानी जाती है।

दुकान-व्यवसाय :: सभी स्थिर नक्षत्र जैसे उत्तराफाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तराभाद्रपद, रोहिणी तथा सभी सौम्य नक्षत्र जैसे मृगशिरा, रेवती चित्रा,अनुराधा व लघु नक्षत्र जैसे हस्त, अश्विनी,पुष्य और अभिजीत नक्षत्रों को शुभ माना जाता है। लग्न में चन्द्र-शुक्र हो तो यह सर्वोत्तम स्थिति मानी जाती है। लग्न की शुभता का विचार करने के लिए देखें कि लग्न से द्वितीय, दशम एवं एकादश भाव में शुभ ग्रह हो तथा अष्टम व द्वादश भाव में कोई अशुभ ग्रह ना हों।सभी तिथि शुभ हैं, परंतु रिक्ता तिथि यानी (चतुर्थ, नवम व चतुर्दशी) अपवाद स्वरूप हैं, अत: इन तिथियो में दुकान नहीं खोलनी चाहिए। मंगलवार को दुकान नहीं खोलें। जिस दिन गोचरवश चन्द्रमा जन्म के समय जिस राशि में था उस राशि से चतुर्थ, अष्टम अथवा द्वादश भाव में उपस्थित हो तथा तृतीय भाव, पंचम भाव एवं सप्तम भाव में तारा हो एवं भद्रा या अन्य अशुभ योग हो तो दुकान नहीं खोलना चाहिए।

वार और तिथि के संयोग से योग के निर्माण की तरह ही वार और नक्षत्र के संयोग से भी योग का निर्माण होता है। 27 नक्षत्रों का जिस वार के साथ संयोग होता है उसी के अनुसार उसका शुभ अथवा अशुभ प्रभाव जातक के ऊपर होता है।

अक्षय तृतीया :: इसे सामन्यतया अखतीज के नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है। अक्षय-कभी नष्ट न होने वाला।(1). अचल सम्पत्ति, सोना, चांदी, हीरा या गहने या दीर्घावधि की खरीददारी के लिये सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त है, (2). व्यवसाय की शुरूआत के लिए उपयुक्त है, (3). विवाहों के लिये उपयुक्त, (4). त्रेता युग की शुरुआत इसी दिन हुई थी और अमृत जल वाली पवित्र नदी गंगा भी इसी दिन धरती पर आई थीं, एवं (5). मकान की नींव की भरवाने के लिये भी यह शुभदिन है।

अक्षय तृ्तीया विष्णु के छठे अवतार भगवान परशुराम का जन्मदिन के रूप में मनायी जाती है। सूर्य और चन्द्रमा इस दिन उच्चस्थ स्थिति में होते हैं। यह दिन सौभाग्य और सफलता की सूचक है।

यह दिन उपवास और भगवान विष्णु की पूजा जौ, सत्तू, अन्न तथा चावल से करने के लिए भी उपयुक्त है। सुबह ब्रम्ह मुहूर्त में उठकर गंगा या किसी नदी अथवा समुद्र में स्नान किया जाता है। भगवान् विष्णु की मूर्ति को स्नान कराकर तुलसी पत्र चढ़ायें जाते हैं। इसे नवन्न पर्व भी कहते हैं। मनुष्य को अपने सामर्थ के अनुसार बरतन, पात्र, मिष्ठान्न, तरबूजा-खरबूजा, दूध-दही, चावल आदि का दान करना चाहिये।

अभिजित महूर्त में कोई भी मंगल कार्य इस समय किया जा सकता है। इस महूर्त में भगवान श्री राम जी का जन्म हुआ था। श्राधों में पड़ने वाली अष्टमी तिथि में जमीन जायदाद खरीद सकते हैं, क्योंकि यह सिद्ध अष्टमी है। इस दिन को महालक्ष्मी अष्टमी के नाम से जाना जाता है। जमीन जायदाद खरीदने के लिए इस दिन का इंतज़ार किया जाता है।

अशुभ दग्ध योग :: नक्षत्र और तिथि से बनने वाला दग्ध योग और वार और तिथि से बनने वाला दग्ध योग अलग अलग यद्यपि परिणाम में दोनों एक समान हैं। (1). रविवार के दिन जब भरणी नामक नक्षत्र पड़ता है, तब यह योग बनता है, (2). चित्रा नक्षत्र जब सोमवार के दिन पड़ता तब वह दिन दग्ध योग के प्रभाव में माना जाता है, (3). उत्तराषाढ़ा नक्षत्र का संयोग जब मंगलवार से होता है तो इस योग का प्रादुर्भाव होता है, (4). बुधवार के दिन जब घनिष्ठा नक्षत्र आये तो यह अशुभ संयोग होता है क्योंकि इससे दग्ध योग बनता है, (5). बृहस्पतिवार के दिन जब उ.फा. नक्षत्र हो तो वह दिन भी शुभ कार्य के लिए वर्जित होता है, कारण यह है कि इस स्थिति में भी दग्ध नामक अशुभ योग बनता है, (6). ज्येष्ठा नाम नक्षत्र जब गोचरवश शुक्रवार के दिन पड़ता है तो उस दिन को शुभ कार्य के लिए अच्छा नहीं माना जाता है क्योंकि इस स्थिति में दग्ध नामक अशुभ योग बनता है एवं (7). शनिवार के साथ अगर गोचरवश रेवती नक्षत्र का संयोग होता है तो इनके फल के रूप में इस योग का जन्म होता है। इस योग में कोई भी शुभ कार्य और यात्रा नहीं करनी चाहिए। यात्रा के सम्बन्ध में यह योग बहुत ही अशुभ माना जाता है।

यमघण्ट योग :: नक्षत्र एवं वार के संयोग से बनने वाला यह भी अशुभ योग है। (1). रविवार के दिन के साथ जब मघा नक्षत्र का संयोग होता है तो इसके फल के रूप में यमघण्ट नामक अशुभ योग बनता है, (2). सोमवार के दिन साथ जब विशाखा नक्षत्र का मिलाप होता है तो अशुभ यह योग जन्म लेता है, (3). आर्द्रा नक्षत्र जब गोचरवश मंगल के साथ संयोग करता है तब इस स्थिति में यमघण्ट नामक योग बनता है, (4). बुधवार और मूल नक्षत्र जब मिलता है तब भी यह अशुभ योग बनता है, (5). कृतिका नक्षत्र जब बृहस्पतिवार को पड़ता है, तो उस दिन को शुभ काम के लिए वर्जित माना जाता है, क्योंकि इन स्थितियों में यमघण्ट नामक योग बनता है,(6). जिस शुक्रवार को रोहिणी नक्षत्र पड़ता वह शुक्रवार इस योग के प्रभाव में रहता है एवं (7). गोचरवश जब शनिवार हस्त नक्षत्र में पड़ता है तो उस दिन को मांगलिक कार्य के लिए शुभ नहीं माना जाता है क्योंकि नक्षत्र और वार के संयोग से यमघण्ट नामक अशुभ योग बनता है।इस योग में यात्रा सहित कोई भी शुभ काम नहीं करना चाहिए।

पंचक नक्षत्र :: धनिष्ठा का उत्तरार्ध (तृतीय व चतुर्थ चरण ), शतभिषा, पूर्वाभाद्रपद, उत्तराभाद्रपद, रेवती अर्थात कुल 18 चरण; इन 5 नक्षत्रों में जब गोचर में चन्द्रमा आता है, तब उस अवधि को पंचक कहा जाता है। पंचक के इन पांच नक्षत्रों में से धनिष्ठा एवं शतभिषा-चर संज्ञक, पूर्वाभाद्रपद-उग्र संज्ञक, उत्तरा भाद्रपद-ध्रुव संज्ञक तथा रेवती नक्षत्र-मृदु संज्ञक नक्षत्र होता है। इन पांच नक्षत्रों (-सैद्धान्तिक रुप से साढेचार) के समूह को पंचक कहते हैं। राशिचक्र में 3600 एवं 27 नक्षत्र होते हैं। इस प्रकार एक नक्षत्र का मान (360-27) 13 अंक एवं 20 कला या 800 कला का होता है। 27 नक्षत्रों में अंतिम पांच नक्षत्रों अर्थात धनिष्ठा का उतरार्ध, शतभिषा, पूर्वाभाद्रपद, उत्तराभाद्रपद, एवं रेवती को पंचक कहते हैं। चन्द्रमा अपनी मध्यम गति से 27 दिनों में इन सभी नक्षत्रों का भोग कर लेता है। अत: हर महीने में लगभग 27 दिनों के अन्तराल पर पंचक नक्षत्र आते रहते हैं।

एक अन्य मत से पंचकों में धनिष्ठा नक्षत्र में जन्म लेने वाले व्यक्ति को अंग दोष होने का विचार किया जाता है। धनिष्ठा नक्षत्र के प्रथम आधे भाग को भी कुछ स्थानों पर शुभ नहीं समझा जाता।

पंचक में पांच कार्य करने सर्वथा वर्जित हैं :- इस समय में दक्षिण दिशा की यात्रा, शवदाह, घर पर छत डालना या घर को ढकना, चारपाई बनवाना, ईंधन एकत्र करना, खम्भा बनवाना वर्जित है। इस समय में जो भी शुभ या अशुभ काम किये जाते है वह 5 गुना फल देते है। इसी कारण से शवदाह के समय शव के साथ चार और पुतले दाह किये जाते है। चन्द्रमा एक नक्षत्र एक दिन में पार करता है, इसलिए पंचक भी साढ़े चार दिन का होता है। एक माह में एक बार पंचक लग ही जाता है, परन्तु कभी कभी अंग्रेजी माह में दो बार भी हो जाता है। इस नक्षत्र समय में इनमें से कोई भी कार्य करने पर, उक्त कार्य को पांच बार दोहराना पड सकता है। इनमें से कोई काम करने पर अग्नि का भय रहता है। शतभिषा नक्षत्र में कलह, पूर्वा भाद्रपद में रोग, उतरा भाद्रपद में जुर्माना, रेवती में धन हानि होती है। विशेष परिस्थितियों में ये कार्य करने आवश्यक हो तो किसी योग्य विद्वान पंडित से पंचक शान्ति करवाने का विधान है।

दोष निवारण :: शुभ या अशुभ जो भी कार्य पंचकों में किया जाता है, वह पांच गुणा करना पडता है। इसलिये अगर किसी व्यक्ति की मृ्त्यु पंचक अवधि में हो जाती है, तो शव के साथ चार या पांच अन्य पुतले आटे या कुशा से बनाकर अर्थी पर रख दिये जाते हैं। इन पांचों का भी शव की भांति पूर्ण विधि-विधान से अन्तिम संस्कार किया जाता है और पंचक दोषों का शांति विधान किया जाता है।

किसी कारणवश इन कार्यो को करना पड़ता है तो, नक्षत्र स्थिति के अनुसार पंचक दोष निवारण उपाय बताए गए हैं। यदि पंचक काल में कार्य करना जरूरी है तो धनिष्ठा नक्षत्र के अंत की, शतभिषा नक्षत्र के मध्य की, पूर्वाभाद्रपद नक्षत्र के आदि की, उत्तरा भाद्रपद नक्षत्र की पांच घड़ी के समय को छोड़कर शेष समय में कार्य किए जा सकते हैं। रेवती नक्षत्र का पूरा समय अशुभ माना जाता है।

पंचक निषेध काल :: पंचक नक्षत्रों में सभी कार्य निषिद्ध नहीं होते। मुहूर्त ग्रन्थों के अनुसार विवाह, मुण्डन, गृहारम्भ, गृ्ह प्रवेश, वधू- प्रवेश, उपनयन आदि में इस समय का विचार नहीं किया जाता। इसके अलावा रक्षा-बन्धन, भैय्या दूज आदि पर्वों में भी पंचक नक्षत्रों का निषेध के बारे में नहीं सोचा जाता।इसके साथ-साथ व्यावसायिक एवं आर्थिक गतिविधियां संपन्न की जा सकती हैं।

भद्रा योग (विष्टी करण) :: भद्रा भगवान सूर्य देव की पुत्री और शनिदेव की बहन है। शनि की तरह ही इसका स्वभाव भी क्रूर है। इसके उग्र स्वभाव को नियंत्रित करने के लिए ही भगवान ब्रह्मा ने उसे कालगणना या पंचाग के एक प्रमुख अंग करण में स्थान दिया। जहां उसका नाम विष्टी करण रखा गया। भद्रा की स्थिति में कुछ शुभ कार्यों, यात्रा और उत्पादन आदि कार्यों को निषेध माना गया।

भद्रा काल में तंत्र कार्य, अदालती और राजनैतिक चुनाव कार्य सुफल देने वाले माने गए हैं।

पंचक (तिथि, वार, योग, नक्षत्र और करण) की तरह ही भद्रा योग को भी देखा जाता है।

तिथि के आधे भाग को करण कहते हैं। अतः एक तिथि के दो करण होते हैं।

कुल 11 करण माने गए हैं जिनमें बव, बालव, कौलव, तैतिल, गर, वणिज और विष्टि चर करण और शकुनि, चतुष्पद, नाग और किस्तुघ्न अचर करण होते हैं।

विष्टि करण को ही भद्रा भी कहा जाता है। कृष्णपक्ष की तृतीया, दशमी और शुक्लपक्ष की चतुर्थी, एकादशी के उत्तरार्ध में एवं कृष्णपक्ष की सप्तमी, चतुर्दशी, शुक्लपक्ष की अष्टमी और पूर्णिमा के पूर्वार्ध में भद्रा रहती है।

तिथि के पूर्वार्ध में (कृष्णपक्ष की 7:14 और शुक्लपक्ष की 8:15 तिथि) दिन की भद्रा कहलाती है। तिथि के उत्तरार्ध की (कृष्णपक्ष की 3:10 और शुक्लपक्ष की 4:11) की भद्रा रात्री की भद्रा कहलाती है। यदि दिन की भद्रा रात्री के समय और रात्री की भद्रा दिन के समय आ जाए तो उसे शुभ माना जाता है। भद्राकाल में विवाह, मुंडन, गृहप्रवेश, यज्ञोपवित, रक्षाबंधन या कोई भी नया काम शुरू करना वर्जित माना गया है।

भद्राकाल में ऑपरेशन करना, मुकदमा करना, किसी वस्तु का कटना, यज्ञ करना, वाहन खरीदना स्त्री प्रसंग संबंधी कर्म शुभ माने गए हैं।

सोमवार व शुक्रवार की भद्रा कल्याणी, शनिवार की भद्रा वृश्चिकी, गुरुवार की भद्रा पुण्यैवती, रविवार, बुधवार व मंगलवार की भद्रा भद्रिका कहलाती है। शनिवार की भद्रा अशुभ मानी जाती है।

शनि की सगी बहन है भद्रा। यह भगवान सूर्य का कन्या और उनकी पत्नी छाया से उत्पन्न है। यह काले वर्ण, लंबे केश, बड़े-बड़े दांत तथा भयंकर रूप वाली है। सूर्य भगवान से सोचा इसका विवाह किसके साथ किया जाए। प्रजा के दु:ख को देखकर ब्रह्माजी ने भी सूर्य के पास जाकर उनकी कन्या द्वारा किये गये दुष्कर्मो को बतलाया।

यह सुनकर सूर्य ने कहा आप इस विश्व के कर्ता तथा भर्ता हैं, फिर आप कहें। ब्रह्माजी ने विष्टि को बुलाकर कहा- भद्रे! बव, बालव, कौलव आदि करणों के अंत में तुम निवास करो और जो व्यक्ति यात्रा, प्रवेश, मांगल्य कृत्य, रेवती, व्यापार, उद्योग आदि कार्य तुम्हारे समय में करे, उन्हीं में तुम विघ्न करो। तीन दिन तक किसी प्रकार की बाधा न डालो। चौथे दिन के आधे भाग में देवता और असुर तुम्हारी पूजा करेंगे। जो तुम्हारा आदर न करे, उनका कार्य तुम ध्वस्त कर देना। इस प्रकार से भद्रा की उत्पत्ति हुई। अत: मांगलिक कार्यो में भद्रा का त्याग अवश्य करें।

भद्रा 5 घड़ी मुख में, 2 घड़ी कंड में, 11 घड़ी हृदय में, 5 घड़ी नाभि में, 5 घड़ी कटि में और 3 घड़ी पुच्छ में स्थिर रहती है। जब भद्रा मुख में रहती है तब कार्य का नाश होता है। कंड में धन का नाश, हृदय में प्राण का नाश, नाभि में कहल, कटि में अर्थ-भंश होता है तथा पुच्छ में विजय तथा कार्य सिद्धि हो जाती है।

भद्रा के 12 नामों धन्या, दधिमुखी, भद्रा, महामारी, खरानना, कालरात्रि, महारुद्रा, विष्टि, कुलपुत्रिका, भैरवी, महाकाली तथा असुरक्षयकरी; का प्रात:काल उठकर जो स्मरण करता है, उसे किसी भी व्याधि का भय नहीं होता। रोगी रोग से मुक्त हो जाता है और सभी ग्रह अनुकूल हो जाते हैं। उसके कार्यो में कोई विघ्न नहीं होता। युद्ध में तथा राजकुल में वह विजय प्राप्त करता है। जो भी व्यक्ति विधि पूर्वक नित्य विष्टि का पूजन करता है, नि:संदेह उसके सभी कार्य सिद्ध हो जाते हैं।

यह व्यक्ति को सावधान करता है कि यह समय अच्छा नहीं है। इस समय में किये गये कामों के निष्फल होने की संभावना है। इसलिये, इस समय में कोई भी शुभ काम नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। इस समय किये गये कार्य में अनिष्ट होने की संभावना रहती है। यह शुभ कार्यो में विशेष रुप से त्याज्य है। इसके दो पक्ष हैं। (1). व्यक्ति को ठीक समय पर काम करने के लिये प्रेरित करना और मार्गदर्शक की तरह काम करना। (2). काम को किस समय करना चाहिए और पल का ध्यान रखते हुये कभी चन्द्र की दशाओं का तो कभी राहु काल की जानकारी देता है।

राहु काल का प्रावधान विशेषतः :: दक्षिण भारत में देखा जाता है। यह सप्ताह के सातों दिन निश्चित समय पर लगभग डेढ़ घण्टे तक रहता है। इसे अशुभ समय के रुप मे देखा जाता है। इसी कारण राहु काल की अवधि में शुभ कर्मो को यथा संभव टालने की सलाह दी जाती है। विभिन्न स्थानों के लिये यह सूर्योदय के अनुसार निर्धारित किया जाता है। जिसे आठ भागों में बाँटा गया है।

रविवार के पहले भाग में कोई राहु काल नहीं होता। यह सोमवार को दूसरे भाग में, शनि को तीसरे, शुक्र को चौथे, बुध को पांचवे, गुरुवार को छठे, मंगल को सांतवे तथा रविवार को आंठवे भाग में होता है। यह प्रत्येक सप्ताह के लिये स्थिर है। राहु काल को राहु-कालम् नाम से भी जाना जाता है। पंचाग से देखकर दिन को आठ बराबर भागों में बाँटा जाता है। सोमवार: सुबह 7:30-9.00, मंगलवार: दोपहर 3:00-4:30,बुधवार: 12:00-01:30, गुरुवार: दोपहर 01:30-03:00, शुक्रवार: प्रात: 10:30-12:00, शनिवार: प्रात: 09:00-10:30, रविवार: 04:30-06:00.

राहु काल के समय में किसी नये काम को शुरु नहीं किया जाता, परन्तु जो काम इस समय से पहले शुरु हो चुका है, उसे राहु-काल के समय में बीच में नहीं छोडा जाता है। कोई व्यक्ति अगर किसी शुभ काम को इस समय में करता है तो उसे काम का शुभ फल नहीं मिलेगा और मनोकामना पूर्ण नहीं होगी। अशुभ कामों के लिये इस समय का विचार नहीं किया जाता है। उन्हें दिन के किसी भी समय किया जा सकता है।

यात्रा का मुहुर्त :: दैनिक या रोजमर्रा की यात्रा के प्रसंग में मुहुर्त का विचार नहीं किया जाता है।

(1). शुभ-अशुभ नक्षत्र :: हस्त अश्विनी, पुष्य, मृगशिरा, रेवती, अनुराधा, पुनर्वसु, श्रवण, घनिष्ठा नक्षत्र यात्रा के लिए अनुकूल और शुभ माने गए हैं। इनके अलावा उत्तराफाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तरा भाद्रपद यात्रा के लिये मध्यम स्तर के माने जाते हैं।

(2). नक्षत्र शूल :: सभी नक्षत्रों की अपनी दिशा होती है। जिस दिन जिस दिशा का नक्षत्र हो, उस दिन, उस दिशा में यात्रा नहीं करनी चाहिए। ज्येष्ठा नक्षत्र की दिशा पूर्व है। पूर्वाभाद्रपद की दिशा दक्षिण है। रोहिणी नक्षत्र की दिशा पश्चिम है। उत्तराफाल्गुनी नक्षत्र की दिशा उत्तर है।

(3). तिथि विचार :: यात्रा के लिए द्वितीया, तृतीया, पंचमी, दशमी, सप्तमी, एकादशी और त्रयोदशी तिथि बहुत ही शुभ मानी गयी है। कृष्णपक्ष की प्रतिपदा तिथि भी यात्रा के संदर्भ में उत्तम मानी जाती है। अन्य तिथियां शुभ नहीं मानी जातीं।

(4). करण :: विष्टि करण होने से भद्रा दोष लगता है, इस स्थिति में यात्रा नहीं करनी चाहिए।

(5). वार विचार :: यात्रा के लिए बृहस्पति और शुक्रवार को सबसे अच्छा माना जाता है। रविवार, सोमवार और बुधवार को यात्रा की दृष्टि से मध्यम माना जाता है। मंगलवार और शनिवार यात्रा के लिए शुभ नहीं होते हैं।

मूहूर्त के अनुसार विवाह में वर्जित काल :: वैवाहिक जीवन को कामयाब बनाने के लिये यह कार्य शुभ मुहूर्त में ही करना चाहिए।

(1). नक्षत्र व सूर्य का गोचर :: 27 नक्षत्रों में से इन 10 नक्षत्रों को विवाह कार्य के लिये शुभ नहीं माना जाता-आर्दा, पुनर्वसु, पुष्य, आश्लेषा, मघा, पूर्वाफाल्गुणी, उतराफाल्गुणी, हस्त, चित्रा, स्वाती। इनमें से कोई भी हो व सूर्य़ सिंह राशि में गुरु के नवांश में गोचर कर हो तो वैवाहिक जीवन शुभ नहीं रहता।

(2). जन्म मास, जन्मतिथि व जन्म नक्षत्र में विवाह :: इन तीनों समयावधियों में अपनी बडी सन्तान का विवाह करना उचित नहीं रहता तथा जन्म नक्षत्र व जन्म नक्षत्र से दसवां, 16वां, व 23वां त्याज्य है।

(3). शुक्र व गुरु का बाल्यवृ्द्धत्व :: शुक्र ग्रह पूर्व दिशा में उदित होने के बाद तीन दिन तक बाल्यकाल में रहता है। इस अवधि में शुक्र अपने पूर्ण रुप से फल देने में असमर्थ नहीं होता। इसी प्रकार जब वह पश्चिम दिशा में होता है तो 10 दिन तक बाल्यकाल की अवस्था में होता है। शुक्र जब पूर्व दिशा में अस्त होता है तो, अस्त होने से पहले 15 दिन तक फल देने में असमर्थ होता है व पश्चिम में अस्त होने से 5 दिन पूर्व तक वृ्द्धावस्था में होता है। इन सभी समयों में शुक्र शुभ फल नहीं देता। गुरु किसी भी दिशा मे उदित या अस्त हों, दोनों ही परिस्थितियों में 15-15 दिनों के लिये बाल्यकाल में वृ्द्धावस्था में होते हैं। दोनों ही योगों में विवाह कार्य संपन्न करने का कार्य नहीं किया जाता है। शुक्र व गुरु दोनों शुभ है। इसी लिए वैवाहिक कार्य के लिये इनका विचार किया जाता है।

(4). शुभ-अशुभ चन्द्र :: चन्द्र को अमावस्या से तीन दिन पहले व तीन दिन बाद तक बाल्य काल में होने के कारण इस समय को विवाह कार्य के लिये छोड दिया जाता है। ज्योतिष शास्त्र में यह मान्यता है की शुक्र, गुरु व चन्द्र इन में से कोई भी ग्रह बाल्यकाल में हो तो वह अपने पूर्ण फल देने की स्थिति में न होने के कारण शुभ नहीं होता। इस अवधि में विवाह कार्य करने पर इस कार्य की शुभता में कमी होती है।

(5). तीन ज्येष्ठा :: विवाह कार्य के लिये त्रिज्येष्ठा को वर्जित माना जाता है। वाला को भी त्रिज्येष्ठा के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस योग के अनुसार सबसे बडी संतान का विवाह ज्येष्ठा मास में नहीं करना चाहिए। ज्येष्ठ मास में उत्पन्न वर या कन्या का विवाह भी ज्येष्ठ मास में करना उचित नहीं रहता। तीन ज्येष्ठ मिले तो त्रिज्येष्ठा नामक योग बनता है। तीन ज्येष्ठ- बडा लडका, बडी लडकी तथा ज्येष्ठ मास इन सभी का योग शुभ नहीं माना जाता है। एक ज्येष्ठा अर्थात केवल मास या केवल वर या कन्या हो तो यह अशुभ नहीं होता व इसे दोष नहीं समझा जाता।

(6). त्रिबल विचार :: गुरु कन्या की जन्म राशि से 1, 8 व 12 भावों में गोचर कर रहा हो तो इसे शुभ नहीं माना जाता। गुरु कन्या की जन्म राशि से 3, 6 वें राशियों में हों तो कन्या के लिये इसे हितकारी नहीं समझा जाता तथा 4, 10 राशियों में हों तो कन्या को विवाह के बाद दु:ख प्राप्त होने कि संभावनाएं बनती हैं। गुरु के अतिरिक्त सूर्य व चन्द्र का भी गोचर अवश्य देखा जाता है। इन तीनों ग्रहों का गोचर में शुभ होना त्रिबल शुद्धि के नाम से जाना जाता है।

(7). चन्द्र बल :: चन्द्र का गोचर 4, 8 वें भाव के अतिरिक्त अन्य भावों में होने पर चन्द्र को शुभ समझा जाता है। चन्द्र जब पक्षबली, स्वराशि, उच्चगत, मित्रक्षेत्री होने पर उसे शुभ समझा जाता है अर्थात इस स्थिति में चन्द्र बल का विचार नहीं किया जाता।

(8). सगे भाई बहनों का विचार :: एक लडके से दो सगी बहनों का विवाह नहीं किया जाता है। दो सगे भाईयों का विवाह दो सगी बहनों से नहीं करना चाहिए। दो सगे भाईयों का विवाह या बहनों का विवाह एक ही मुहूर्त समय में नहीं करना चाहिए। जुडंवा भाईयों का विवाह जुडवा बहनों से नहीं करना चाहिए। सौतेले भाईयों का विवाह एक ही लग्न समय पर किया जा सकता है।

(9). पुत्री के बाद पुत्र का विवाह :: पुत्री का विवाह करने के 6 सूर्य मासों की अवधि के अन्दर सगे भाई का विवाह किया जाता है। लेकिन पुत्र के बाद पुत्री का विवाह 6 मास की अवधि के मध्य नहीं किया जा सकता।

(10). गण्ड मूलोत्पन्न का विचार :: मूल नक्षत्र में जन्म लेने वाली कन्या अपने ससुर के लिये कष्टकारी समझी जाती है। आश्लेषा नक्षत्र में जन्म लेने वाली कन्या को अपनी सास के लिये अशुभ माना जाता है। ज्येष्ठा मास की कन्या को जेठ के लिये अच्छा नहीं समझा जाता है। इसके अलावा विशाखा नक्षत्र में जन्म लेने पर कन्या को देवर के लिये अशुभ माना जाता है। इन सभी नक्षत्रों में जन्म लेने वाली कन्या का विवाह करने से पहले इन दोषों का निवारण किया जाता है।

तिथि :- शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया, तृतीया, पंचमी, सप्तमी, दशमी, एकादशी, द्वादशी एवं त्रयोदशी।

नक्षत्र :- अश्विनी, पुनर्वसु, पुष्य, हस्त, उत्तरा फाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तरा भाद्रपद, रोहिणी, रेवती, श्रवण, धनिष्ठा, शतभिषा, स्वाति, अनुराधा एवं मघा।

गृह प्रवेश के शुभ मुहूर्त ::

वार :- सोमवार, बुधवार, गुरुवार व शुक्रवार।

तिथि :- शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया, तृतीया, पंचमी, षष्टी, सप्तमी, दशमी, एकादशी व त्रयोदशी।

नक्षत्र :- उत्तराफाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तराभाद्रपद, रोहिणी, मृगशिरा, चित्रा, अनुराधा एवं रेवती।

लग्न :- वृषभ, सिंह, वृश्चिक व कुंभ राशि का लग्न उत्तम हैंतथा मिथुन, कन्या, धनु व मीन राशि का लग्न मध्यम हैं।

मंदिर निर्माण शुभ मुहूर्त ::

वार :- सोमवार, बुधवार, गुरुवार, शुक्रवार।

तिथि :- पक्ष शुक्ल की 2, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13 वीं।

देव प्रतिमा स्थापना शुभ मुहूर्त ::

वार :- देव प्रतिमा स्थापना के लिए सोमवार, बुधवार, गुरुवार, शुक्रवार।

तिथि :- शुक्लपक्ष की 1, 2, 5,10, 13, 15 वीं। मतांतर से कृष्णपक्ष 1, 2, 5 वीं तिथि भी शुभ मानी गई हैं।

नक्षत्र :- पुष्य, उत्तराफाल्गुनी, उत्तराषाढ़ा, उत्तराभाद्रपद, हस्त, रेवती, रोहिणी, अश्विनी, मूला, श्रवण, धनिष्ठा व पुनर्वसु। इसके अतिरिक्त उत्तरायण के सूर्य में गुरु, शुक्र और मंगल भी बली होना चाहिए।

AUSPICIOUS-INAUSPICIOUS EFFECTS OF SHANI'S SADHE SATI-DHAIYA शनि की साढ़े साति-ढईया के शुभ-अशुभ प्रभाव :: शनि देव को भगवान् शिव ने जातक को उसके कर्मों के अनुरूप दण्ड-भक्ति-पुरस्कार-प्रयास करने की प्रेरणा देने का दायित्व सौंपा। वे दुष्ट व्यक्तियों को दण्ड देते हैं और भक्त को इनाम। साढ़े साती और ढईया शनि के प्रभाव-फल का स्वरूप हैं।

SADHE SATI :: Sade Sati is the transition phenomenon of Saturn, when it transit through 12th, 1st, 2nd and house from the natal moon of birth chart. Saturn takes 2½ years to transit from one house to another house, taking 7½ years to pass through each sign. It takes 30 years to make one round of the Zodiac. There is a general belief that Sadhe Sati period brings dissatisfaction, disappointments, depression, differences, disputes, disharmony and undesirable results, but actually this is not the case. Saturn does not always behave in this way and it really depends on individual's chart. If Saturn is acting as a Yog Karak, it will not create any trouble-problems in one's life. Most of the people go through 2-3 periods of Sadhe Sati in their life time, 4 periods are very rare. It reappears after every 25 years, since when it first finished.

It complete one revolution in its orbit in 29 years and 5 months. DISEASES-DISORDERS CAUSED BY SATURN & PROTECTION शनि के कारण रोग, प्रभाव एवं निवारण के उपाय :: आयुर्वेद में तीन प्रकार के दोषों से रोगों की उत्पत्ति मानी गई है। ये तीन दोष वात, कफ व पित्त है। मनुष्य के शरीर की समस्त आन्तरिक गतिविधियाँ वात द्वारा ही संचालित होती है।

किसी भी रोग की उत्पत्ति जातक के प्रारंभ और पूर्व जन्म के पापों का परिणाम है। फिर इसका इलाज करके सुरक्षित रहा जा सकता है। आशीर्वाद-दुआ, पूजा-पाठ, व्यायाम-प्राणयाम-योग, भक्ति रोग निवारण में समर्थ हैं। रोग विशेष की उत्पत्ति जातक के जन्म समाय मे किसी राशि एवं नक्षत्र विशेष पर पापग्रहों की उपस्थिति, उन पर पाप दृष्टि, पापग्रहों की राशि एवं नक्षत्र में उपस्थित होना, पापग्रह अध्ष्ठिित राशि के स्वामी द्वारा युति या दृष्टि रोग की संभावना को बताती है। इन रोग कारक ग्रहों की दशा एवं दशाकाल में प्रतिकूल गोचर रहने पर रोग की उत्पत्ति होती है। प्रत्येक ग्रह, नक्षत्र, राशि एवं भाव मानव शरीर के भिन्न-भिन्न अंगो का प्रतिनिधित्व करते है।

मेष राशि को सिर में, वृष मुँह में, मिथुन छाती में, कर्क ह्रदय में, सिंह पेट में, कन्या कमर में, तुला बस्ति में अर्थात पेडू में, वृश्च्कि लिंग में, धनु जांघो में, मकर घुटनों में, कुंभ पिंण्डली में तथा मीन राशि को पैरो में स्थान दिया गया है। इन राशियों के अनुसार ही नक्षत्रों को उन अंगो में स्थापित करने से मानव शरीराकृति बनती है।

इन नक्षत्रों व राशियों को आधार मानकर ही शरीर के किसी अंग विशेष में रोग या कष्ट का पूर्वानुभान किया जा सकता है। शनि तमोगुणी ग्रह क्रुर एवं दयाहीन, लम्बे नाखुन एवं रूखे-सूखे बालों वाला, अधोमुखी, मंद गति वाला एवं आलसी ग्रह है। इसका आकार दुर्बल एवं आँखें अन्दर की ओर धंसी हुई हैं। जहाँ पृथकता कारक ग्रह होने के नाते इसकी जन्मांग में जिस राशि एवं नक्षत्र से सम्बन्ध हो, उस अंग विशेष में कार्य से पृथकत्ता अर्थात बीमारी के लक्षण प्रकट होने लगते हैं। शनि को स्नायु एवं वात कारक ग्रह है। नसों वा नाडियों में वात का संचरण शनि के द्वारा ही होता है।

आत्मादयो गगनगैं बलिभिर्बलक्तराः।

दुर्बलैर्दुर्बलाः ज्ञेया विपरीत शनैः फलम्॥

कुण्डली में शनि की स्थिति अधिक विचारणीय है। इसका अशुभ होकर किसी भाव में उपस्थित होने उस भाव एवं राशि सम्बधित अंग में दुःख अर्थात रोग उत्पन्न करेगा। गोचर में भी शनि एक राशि में सर्वाधिक समय तक रहता है जिससे उस अंग-विशेष की कार्यशीलता में परिवर्तन आना रोग को न्यौता देना है। कुछ विशेष योगों में शनि भिन्न-भिन्न रोग देता है।

पित्त पंगु कफः पंगु पंगवो मल धातवः।

वायुना यत्र नीयते तत्र गच्छन्ति मेघवत्॥

पित्त, कफ और मल व धातु सभी निष्क्रिय हैं। स्वयं ये गति नहीं कर सकते । शरीर में विद्यमान वायु ही इन्हें इधर से उधर ले जा सकती है। जिस प्रकार बादलों को वायु ले जाती है। वात पर शनि का नियंत्रण है। शनि के अशुभ होने पर शरीरगत वायु का क्रम टूट जाता है। अशुभ शनि जिस राशि, नक्षत्र को पीड़ित करेगा उसी अंग में वायु का संचार अनियंत्रित हो जायेगा, जिससे परिस्थिति अनुसार अनेक रोग जन्म ले सकते है। नैसर्गिक कुण्डली में शनि को दशम व एकादश भावों का प्रतिनिधि माना गया है। इन भावो का पीडित होना घुटने के रोग, समस्त जोडों के रोग, हड्डी, मांसपेशियों के रोग, चर्च रोग, श्वेत कुष्ठ, अपस्मार, पिंडली में दर्द, दाये पैर, बाँये पैर, कान व हाथ में रोग, स्नायु निर्बलता, हृदय रोग व पागलपन देता है। रोग निवृति भी एकादश के प्रभाव में है। उदरस्थ वायु में समायोजन से शनि पेट मज्जा को जहाँ शुभ होकर मज़बूत बनाता है; वहीं अशुभ होने पर इसमें निर्बलता लाता है। फलस्वरूप जातक की पाचन शक्ति में अनियमितता के कारण भोजन का सही पाचन नहीं होता जो रस, धातु, मांस, अस्थि को कमजोर करता है। समस्त रोगों की जड पेट है। पाचन शक्ति मज़बूत होकर जहाँ प्याज-रोटी खाने वालों को भी शनि सुडौल दिखाता है वहीं पंचमेवा खाने वाला बिना पाचन शक्ति के थका-हारा हुआ मरीज लगता है। मुख्य तौर पर शनि को वायु विकार का कारक मानते है, जिससे अंग वक्रता, पक्षाघात, सांस लेने में परेशानी होती है। शनि का लौह धातु पर अधिकार है। शरीर में लौह तत्व की कमी होने पर एनीमिया, पीलिया रोग भी हो जाता है। अपने पृथकत्ता कारक प्रभाव से शनि अंग विशेष को घात-प्रतिघात द्वारा पृथक् कर देता है। इस प्रकार अचानक दुर्घटना से फे्रकच्र होना भी शनि का कार्य हो सकता है। यदि इसे अन्य ग्रहो का भी थोडा प्रत्यक्ष सहयोग मिल जाये तो, यह शरीर में कई रोगों को जन्म दे सकता है। जहाँ सभी ग्रह बलवान होने पर शुभ फलदायक माने जाते है, वहीं शनि दुःख का कारक होने से इसके विषय विपरित फल माना है।

ARTHRITIS वातरोग :- (1). छठा भाव रोग भाव है। जब इस भाव या भावेश से शनि का सम्बन्ध बनता है तो वात रोग होता है। (2). लग्नस्थ बृहस्पति पर सप्तमस्थ शनि की दृष्टि वातरोग कारक है। (3). त्रिकोण भावों में या सप्तम में मंगल हो व शनि सप्त्म में हो तो गठिया होता है। (4). शनि क्षीण चंद्र से द्वादश भाव में युति करें तो आथ्र्रराइटिस होता है। (5). छठे भाव में शनि पैरोें में कष्ट देता है। (6). शनि की राहु मंगल से युति एवं सूर्य छठे भाव में हो तो पैरों में विकल होता है। (7). छठे या आठवें भाव में शनि, सुर्य चन्द्र से युति करें तो हाथों में वात विकार के कारण दर्द होता है। (8). शनि लग्नस्थ शुक्र पर दृष्टि करें तो नितम्ब में कष्ट होता है। (9). द्वादश स्थान मंे मंगल शनि की युति वात रोग कारक है। (10). षष्ठेश व अष्टमेश की लग्न में शनि से युति वात रोग कारक है। (11). चंद्र एवं शनि की युति हो एवं शुभ ग्रहों की दृष्टि नहीं हों तो जातक को पैरों में कष्ट होता हैं।

STOMACH DISORDERS उदर रोग-विकार :- ये उत्पत्र करने में भी शनि की प्रमुख भूमिका है। सूर्य एवं चन्द्र को बदहजमी-अपच उत्पन्न करते हैं यदि सूर्य या चंद्र पर शनि का प्रभाव हो। चंद्र व बृहस्पति को यकृत का कारक भी माना जाता है। शनि का प्रभाव यकृत को कमजोर एवं निष्क्रिय प्रभावी बनाता हैं। बुध पर शनि के दुष्प्रभाव से आंतों में खराबी उत्पन्न होती हैं। एपेण्डीसाइटिस भी बृहस्पति पर शनि के अशुभ प्रभाव से ही होता है। शुक्र को धातु एवं गुप्तांगों का प्रतिनिधि माना जाता हैं। जब शुक्र शनि द्वारा पीड़ित हो तो जातक को धातु सम्बंधी कष्ट होता है। जब शुक्र पेट का कारक होकर स्थित होगा तो पेट की धातुओं का क्षय शनि के प्रभाव से होगा।

(1). कर्क, वृश्चिक, कुंभ नवांश में शनिचंद्र से योग करें तो यकृत विकार के कारण पेट में गुल्म रोग होता है। (2). द्वितीय भाव में शनि होने पर संग्रहणी रोग होता हैं। इस रोग में उदरस्थ वायु के अनियंत्रित होने से भोजन बिना पचे ही शरीर से बाहर मल के रुप में निकल जाता हैं। (3). सप्तम में शनि मंगल से युति करे एवं लग्रस्थ राहू बुध पर दृष्टि करे तब अतिसार रोग होता है। (4). मीन या मेष लग्र में शनि तृतीय स्थान में उदर मे दर्द होता है। (5). सिंह राशि में शनि चंद्र की यूति या षष्ठ या द्वादश स्थान में शनि मंगल से युति करे या अष्टम में शनि व लग्र में चंद्र हो या मकर या कुंभ लग्रस्थ शनि पर पापग्रहों की दृष्टि उदर रोग कारक है। (6). कुंभ लग्र में शनि चंद्र के साथ युति करे या षष्ठेश एवं चंद्र लग्रेश पर शनि का प्रभाव या पंचम स्थान में शनि की चंद्र से युति प्लीहा रोग कारक है।

SKIN DISEASES कुष्ठ रोग, दाग, दाद, छाजन, फोडे-फुंसी व एक्जीमा :: यह योग से खास पीडा़ नहीं पहुँचाता। इन ग्रहों के कुछ शुभ प्रभाव से कुष्ठ भले ही न हो मगर वात के सूक्ष्म प्रभाव के कारण दाग, दाद, छाजन, फोडे-फुंसी व एक्जीमा का प्रकोप अवश्य दिखाई देगा। (1). शनि की मंगल व सूर्य से युति रक्त कुष्ठ होता है। (2). लग्न में शनि षष्ठेश से युति करे तो कफ विकार जनित कुष्ठ होता है। (3). सिंह व कन्या लग्न में शनि सूर्य की युति लग्न में हो तो रक्त कुष्ठ होता है। (4). शनि की मेष या वृषभ राशि में युति चन्द्र मंगल से हो तो सफेद कुष्ठ होता है। (5). शनि कर्क या मीन राशि में चन्द्र मंगल शुक्र से युति करे तो रक्त कुष्ठ होता है। (6). शनि सूर्य से युति करे तो कृष्ण कुष्ठ होता है। (7). शनि चन्द्र की नवम में युति दाद रोग कारक है। (8). जल राशिस्थ द्वितीयस्थ चन्द्र पर शनि की दृष्टि दाद रोग देती है।

HEART TROUBLE हृदय रोग :- हृदय को स्वस्थ बनाये रखने हेतु सूर्य एवं चंद्र व इनकी राशियों पर शनि का शुभ प्रभाव आवश्यक है। इस दृष्टि में शुक्र हृदय को मजबूती देता हैं उच्चस्थ शुक्र वाला जातक दृढ दिलवाला होता है। जब इन सभी कारकोें,भाव चतुर्थ व पंचम व इनके भावेशों पर शनि का अशुभ प्रभाव पडता हैं तो जातक हृदय विकार से ग्रसित होता हैं। (1). चतुर्थ में शनि हृदय रोग कारक है। यदि बृहस्पति व चंद्र भी शनि से पीडित हो तो हृदय रोग भी तीव्र होता है। (2). मीन लग्न में शनि चतुर्थ में हो एवं सूर्य पीडित हो तो हृदय रोग होता है। (3). चतुर्थ भावस्थ शनि बृहस्पति व मंगल से युति करे तो हृदय रोग होता है। (4). षष्ठेश शनि चतुर्थ भाव में पापयुक्त हो तो हृदय रोग होता है।

शनि की युति से उत्पन्न अन्य रोग :- (1). सूर्य व शनि किसी भी प्रकार से सम्बन्ध करें तो खांसी होती है। (2). चतुर्थेश के साथ शनि युति करे व मंगल की दृष्टि हो तो पत्थर से घात होता है। (3). मकर लग्न में शनि चतुर्थ में पापग्रहों से युति करें तो जल घात होता है। (4). मेष, वृश्चिक, कर्क या सिंह राशि में शनि शुक्र से युति हाथ-पैर कटने का योग बनाते है। (5). शनि पर पापग्रहों की दृष्टि हो तो बवासीर रोग होता है। (6). लग्नस्थ शनि पर सप्तमस्थ मंगल दृष्टि कर तो बवासीर होता है। (7). सप्तम में शनि , वृश्चिक में मंगल व लग्न में सूर्य हो तो बवासीर रोग होता है। (8). शनि बारहवें भाव में हो एवं लग्नेश व मंगल सप्तम हो तो भी बवासीर रोग होता है या लग्न्ेाश या मंगल देखे तब भी बवासीर होता है। (9). मिथुन या कर्क लग्न में शनि पर राहु केतु का प्रभाव चातुर्थिक ज्वर कारक है। (10). शनि चन्द्र पर मंगल की दृष्टि हो तो पागलपन होता है। (11). छठे या आठवे भाव में शनि मंगल से युति करें तब पागलपन होता है। (12). चंद्र शनि की युति पर मंगल की दृष्टि हो तो उसे किसी पूर्व रोगी के कारण सम्पर्क क्षय होता है। (13). लग्न पर मंगल शनि की दृष्टि भी क्षयरोग कारक है। (14). छठे या द्वादश भाव में शनि मंगल से युति करें तो गण्डमाला रोग होता है। (15). लग्नस्थ शनि सूर्य पर चंद्र शुक्र की दृष्टि गुप्तांग काटने का योग बनता है। (16). शनि चंद्र से युति कर मंगल से चतुर्थ या दशम में हो तो संभोग शक्ति में कमी होती है। (17). लग्न में शनि धनु या वृषभ राशि में हो तो अल्प काम शक्ति होती है।(18). नेत्र स्थान में पापग्रह शनि से दृष्ट हो तो रोग से आंखें नष्ट होती है। (19). द्वितीयेश व द्वादशेश शनि, मंगल व गुलिक से युति करें तो नेत्र रोग होता है। (20). लग्नगत सिंह राशि में सूर्य चंद्र पर शनि मंगल की दृष्टि से आंखें नष्ट होती है। (21). पंचम में शनि बृहस्पति से युति करें एवं लग्न में चंद्र हो तो धातुरोग होता है। (22). षष्ठेश त्रिक स्थानों में शनि से दृष्ट हो तो बहरापन होता है।(23). शनि से चतुर्थ में बुध व षष्ठेश त्रिक में हो तों व्यक्ति बहरा होता है।(24). शनि सूर्य चंद्र के साथ सप्तम में युति करें तो दंतरोग होता है। (25). मकर या कुंभ लग्नस्थ शनि हो तो जातक गंजा होता है। (26). अष्टमस्थ शुक्र पर शनि राहू की दृष्टि मधुमेह रोग कारक है। (27). धनु और मकर लग्न में शनि त्रिक भावों में बृहस्पति से युति करे तो जातक गंूगा होता है। (28). लग्न में शनि सूर्य, मंगल से युति करे तो कामला/पीलिया रोग होता है अर्थात शनि का किसी भी ग्रह के साथ युति दृष्टि द्वारा सम्बन्ध बनाना जातक को उस ग्रह विशेष के कारकत्व में कमजोरी लाकर कमजोर बनाता है।

One should not consider the above effects as final since prayers, Yogasan, regular life, avoidance of meat & meat products, wine-women, drugs and presence of benefice planets in the chart produce safety.

PROTECTION FROM ILL EFFECTS OS SATURN शनि कृत रोगों को दूर करने हेतु उपाय :: (1). शनि मुद्रिका शनिवार के दिन शनि मंत्र का जाप करते हुये धारण करें। काले घोडे की नाल प्राप्त कर घर के मुख्य दरवाजे परके ऊपर लगायें। (2). शनि यंत्र को शनिवार के दिन, शनि की होरा में अष्टगंध में भोजपत्र पर बनाकर उडद के आटे से दीपक बनाकर उसमें तेल डालकर दीप प्रज्जवलित करें। फिर शनि मंत्र का जाप करते हुये यंत्र पर खेजडी के फुल पत्र अर्पित करें। तत्पश्चात इसे धारण करने से राहत मिलती हैं। (3). उडद के आटे की रोटी बनाकर उस पर तेल लगायें। फिर कुछ उडद के दाने उस पर रखें। अब रोगी के उपर से सात बार उसारकर शमशान में उसे रख आयें। घर से निकालते समय व वापिस घर आते समय पीछे कदापि नही देखें एवं न ही इस अवधि में किसी से बात करें। ऐसा प्रयोग 21 दिन करने से राहत मिलती है। पूर्ण राहत न मिलने की स्थिति में इसे बढाकर 43 या 73 दिन तक बिना नागा करें। केवल पुरूष ही प्रयोग करें एवं समय एक ही रखें। (4). मिट्टी के नये छोटे घडे में पानी भरकर रोगी पर से सात बार उसार कर उस जल से 23 दिन खेजडी को सींचें। इस अवधि में रोगी के सिर से नख तक की नाप का काला धागा भी प्रतिदिन खेजडी पर लपेटते रहें। इससे भी जातक को चमत्कारिक ढंग से राहत मिलती हैं। (5). सात शनिवार को बीसों नाखूनों को काटकर घर पर ही इकट्ठे कर लें। फिर एक नारियल, कच्चे कोयले, काले तिल व उडद काले कपउे में बांधकर शरीर से उसारकर किसी बहते पवित्र जल में रोगी के कपडों के साथ प्रवाहित करें। यदि रोगी स्वंय करे तो स्नान कर कपउे वहीं छोड दें एवं नये कपउे पहन कर घर पर आ जाये। राहत अवश्य मिलेगी। (6). किसी बर्तन में तेल को गर्म करके उसमें गुड डालकर गुलगुले उठने के बाद उतार कर उसमें रोगी अपना मुंह देखकर किसी भिखारी को दे या उडद की बनी रोटी पर इसे रखकर भैंसे को खिला दे। शनिकृत रोग का सरलतम उपाय हैं। (7). एक नारियल के गोले में घी व सिंदुर भरकर उसे रोगी पर रखकर शमशान में रख आयें। पीछे नहीं देखना हैं तथा मार्ग में वार्तालाप नहीं करें। घर आकर हाथ-पैर धो लें। (8). शनि के तीव्रतम प्रकोप होने पर शनि मंत्र का जाप करना, सातमुखी रूद्राक्ष की अभिमंत्रित माला धारण करना एवं नित्य प्रति भोजन में से कौओं, कुत्ते व काली गाय को खिलाते रहना, यह सभी उपाय शनि कोष को कम करते हैं। इन उपायों को किसी विदृान की देख-रेख या मार्गदर्शन में करने से वांछित लाभ मिल सकता है शमशान पर जाते समय भय नहीं रखें। तंत्रोक्त धागा पहन कर भी जाने से दुष्टात्माऐं-प्रवृतियां कुछ नही कर पाती हैं।

शनिदेव के वाहन और भाग्य :- मनुष्य के भाग्य का शनिदेव से बहुत गहरा और सीधा सम्बन्ध है। शनिदेव के साथ-साथ उनकी सवारी भी महत्वपूर्ण मानी गई। शुभ और अशुभ के निर्धारण हेतु यह देखा जाता है कि किस प्रसंग में उनकी सवारी क्या है। शनिदेव प्रकृति में संतुलन पैदा करते हैं और हर किसी के साथ न्याय करते हैं। जो लोग अनुचित करते हैं शनिदेव उसे ही केवल प्रताड़ित करते हैं। शनिदेव की सवारी केवल कौवा या गिद्ध ही नहीं अपितु घोड़ा, गधा, कुत्ता, शेर, सियार, हाथी, मोर और हिरण भी हैं। शनिदेव जिस वाहन पर सवार होकर जिसके पास भी जाते हैं वह व्यक्तिउसी के अनुरूप फल पता है।

शनिदेव के वाहन का निर्धारण करने के लिए जातक के जन्म, नक्षत्र संख्या और शनि के राशि बदलने की तिथि की नक्षत्र संख्या दोनों को जोड़ कर, योगफल को नौ से भाग करते हैं। शेष संख्या के आधार पर ही शनिदेव का वाहन का निर्धारण होता है। जैसे गधे के लिए शेष एक आ रहा है।

(1). गधा :– जब शनिदेव की सवारी गधा (होता है तो यह शुभ नहीं है। इससे जातक के शुभ कर्मों के फल में कमी आती है। जातक को इस स्थिति में कायों में सफलता प्राप्त करने में लिए काफी प्रयास ज़रूरी है। ऐसे जातक को अपने कर्तव्य का पालन म्हणत और ईमानदारी के साथ करना हितकर होता है।

(2). घोड़ा :– यदि शनिदेव की सवारी घोड़ा हो तो जातक को शुभ फल मिलते हैं। इस समय जातक समझदारी से काम लें तो अपने शत्रुओं पर आसानी से विजय पा सकता है। घोड़े को शक्ति का प्रतिक माना जाता है, इसलिय व्यक्ति इस समय जोश और उर्जा से भरा होता है।

(3). हाथी :– यदि जातक के लिए शनि का वाहन हाथी हो तो इसे शुभ नहीं है। यह जातक को आशा के विपरीत-उल्टा फल देता है. इस स्थिति में जातक को साहस और हिम्मत से काम लेना चाहिए और घबराना नहीं चाहिए।

(4). भैसा :– यदि शनिदेव का वाहन भैसा हो तो जातक को मिला जुला फल प्राप्ति की उम्मीद होती है। इस स्थिति में जातक को समझदारी और होशियारी से काम करना ज्यादा बेहतर होता है। यदि जातक सावधानी से काम न ले तो कटु फलों में वृद्धि होने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है।

(5). सिंह :– यदि शनि की सवारी सिंह हो तो जातक को शुभ फल मिलता है। इस समय जातक को समझदारी और चतुराई से काम लेना चाहिए इससे शत्रु पक्ष को परास्त करने में मदद मिलती है। इस अवधि में जातक को अपने विरोधियों से घबराने या ड़रने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।

(6). सियार :– यदि शनि की सवारी सियार हो तो जातक को शुभ फल नहीं मिलते। इस दौरान जातक को अशुभ सूचनाएं अधिक मिलने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है। इस स्थिति में जातक को बहुत ही हिम्मत से काम लेना चाहिए।

(7). कौआ :– यदि शनि की सवारी कौआ हो तो जातक को इस अवधि में कलह में बढ़ोतरी होती है। परिवार या दफ्तर में किसी मुद्दे को लेकर कलह या टकरावों की स्थिति से बचना चाहिए। इस समय जातक को शांति, संयम और मसले को बातचीत से हल करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।

(8). मोर :– शनि की सवारी मोर हो तो जातक को शुभ फल देता है। इस समय जातक को अपनी मेहनत के साथ-साथ भाग्य का साथ भी मिलता है। इस दौरान जातक को समझदारी से काम करने पर बड़ी-बड़ी परेशानी से भी पार पाया जा सकता है। इसमें मेहनत से आर्थिक स्थिति को भी सुधारा जा सकता है.

(9). हंस :– यदि शनि की सवारी हंस हो तो जातक के लिए बहुत शुभ होता है। इस सायम जातक अपनी बुद्धि औए मेहनत करके भाग्य का पूरा सहयोग ले सकता है। यह अवधि में जातक की आर्थिक में सुधार देखने को मिलता है। हंस को शनि के सभी वाहनों में सबसे अच्छा वाहन कहा गया है।

परेशानी की हालत में मनुष्य को "ऊँ शं शनैश्चराय नम:" का नियमित जप 108 बार अवश्य करना चाहिए।

SANYAS YOG संन्यास योग :: Sanyas (religious, anchorite, solitairian, eremite, ascetic) is the path of renunciation as per Mundak Upnishad. A Sanyasi is one who has risen above the mundane ambitions of a householder and also the silence and penance of a recluse. It is relinquishment of actions arising from desires and Tyag is the relinquishment of fruit-reward-out put of all actions, according to Bhagwat Gita. The Sanyasi is eligible to pursue the path of knowledge-Gyan-enlightenment. He is not bound to perform ritual or tend the sacred fire-Agnihotr-Hawan. [अतएव चाग्निन्धनाद्यनपेक्षा। Brahm Sutr 3.4.25]

Sanyas Yog in refers to the astrological configuration of plants birth chart of the individual. is the planetary situations or combinations in certain nativities (horoscopes) indicating Sanyas Yog. This is an auspicious configuration in the birth chart. True Sanyas Yog is very rare. It arises when four or more strong planets combine in one house or sign, the nature or kind of Sanyas adopted depends upon the strongest planet in that particular group of planets.

DOMINANT SUN :: If the Sun be the strongest planet the possessor will be a person of high morals and intellectual prowess. He will choose severe and difficult practices in remote places.

DOMINANT MOON :: The possessor will remain in seclusion to study scriptures.

DOMINANT MERCURY :: One will be easily influenced by the philosophy-thoughts-mentality of others.

DOMINANT MARS :: The possessor would choose to wear saffron or yellow coloured clothes and struggle to control his temper.

DOMINANT JUPITER :: The possessor will have complete control over his senses and sense organs.

DOMINANT VENUS :: The individual will be a wandering mendicant.

DOMINANT SATURN :: One will opt for severe practices.

The involvement of the lord of the 10th house in this conjunction of four or more planets is a stronger indicator of Sanyas.

SALVATION-MOKSH :: If those four or more planets happen to conjoin in a Kendr-center or in a Trikon-triangle, then the person attains Moksh-Salvation.

YOG BHRASHT :: If they conjoin four or more planets in the 8th house there will be deviation from the path of Salvation-spirituality. i.e., there will be break in Yog-operation and fall from the final state of emancipation. If strongest of the conjoining planets is com-bust, then there will be no Sanyas and if it is defeated in planetary warfare, one returns to worldly life after taking Sanyas.

Sanyas is also indicated when the Moon in a drekkan of Saturn is aspected by Mars and Saturn or is in a Navansh of Mars aspected by Saturn. A person takes to Sanyas if the dispositor-the planet which is the ruler of the sign or house that is occupied by any another sign or house lord; of the Moon is aspected by Saturn and not by any other planet or if aspected by all planets occupying a single house or sign or if Jupiter is in the 9th house and Saturn aspects the Lagn (Ascendant), the Moon and Jupiter, such a person will write on Shastr and found a school of philosophy and in case Saturn not aspected by any planet & is in the 9th house, then one will be born as a king, but turn to Sanyas.

IMPLICATIONS OF SANYAS YOG :: It is formed by benefice planets in dignity bless a person with an evolutionary elevation of the total personality and sublimation of primeval urges. When four or more planets combine in one house Sanyas Yog does arise.

Mahatma Buddh had five planets situated in the 10th house at the time of his birth, which included a weak Saturn occupying its sign of debilitation, or when the Ascendant lord is aspected by Saturn alone or Saturn aspects a weak Lagn lord or when the Moon in a dreshkan or drekkan (द्रेष्काण, द्रेक्काण) of Saturn occupies a Navansh of Mars or Saturn and is aspected by Saturn in which situation according to Fal Deepika (फलदीपिका) if the lord of Lagn aspects a weak Moon, the Sanyasi-hermit-recluse will lead a very miserable life but if there be a Raj Yog obtaining, he will be venerated by rulers of the world. If the Sanyas Yog is afflicted by malefic influences then the person with that Sanyas Yog will take up Sanyas but prove a shame to that order being vulnerable to baser instincts and lowly conduct and acts.

Benefice planets in the 3rd or 6th house from Arudh (Moon) Lagn gives rise to Sadhu Yog which makes the native a saintly person undertaking pious activities. Research has also found that Parijat Yog can also act as Parivraj Yog sometimes.

Four planets conjoining in the 10th house from the Lagn or four planets aspecting the 10th house or if the lord of the Lagn and the lord of the 10th join with any three planets any where, give Sanyas but if Saturn joins, there will be no Sanyas. And, in case the Moon and Jupiter join Mercury and Mars in the 10th or in Pisces sign, then Moksh becomes assured. If more than one planet is powerful out of four there will be no Sanyas Yog, when two planets are powerful then one takes Sanyas of the kind indicated by the more powerful one only to discard it to take up Sanyas of the kind indicated by the less powerful. One of the four or more planets conjoining must be very strong to confer Sanyas but if the Sanyas causing planet is com-bust or if it is defeated in Grah Yuddh (planetary warfare) and aspected by other planets there will be no Sanyas but the person will worship Sanyasis i.e., those who have taken up Sanyas.

SIGNIFICANCE OF SANYAS YOG :: Sanyas Yog compel a person to give up all wealth and material possessions; he then becomes a mendicant and begs for alms. These Yog are a class apart, they are Shubh-Yog (शुभ, auspicious Yog) and are not Avyog (अवयोग, evil Yog) indicating poverty. They compel a person to renounce the world and seek the Ultimate Truth. Raj Yog obtaining along with Sanyas Yog make a person a world-renowned Dikshit (दीक्षित) and may be a pious ruler who is widely worshipped. A weak Saturn casting its aspect on the weak lord of the Ascendant generally makes one take to the path of renunciation. If the lord of the Bhav in which the Sanyas Yog occurs is associated with Rahu or combines with Gulika in a cruel ansh or if benefice do not aspect the said lord, then that Sanyas Yog will be defunct. Changez Khan (चंगेज खान), the mighty Mongol warrior, was born at 1.30 A.M on 16.09.1186 A.D. with six planets combining in one sign and house i.e., in Virgo in the 3rd house from the Lagn which grouping included a strong Uchchabhilashi (उच्चाभिलाषी, strong-high desires) Saturn, he did not take to the path of renunciation. He was a ruthless warrior and a wandering conqueror as foretold by Saravali for this conjunction and a powerful ruler as ordained by Laghu Jatak Sarwasw vide Verse 537 which states that if all planets are in the 12th from the Moon and aspect the 6th house from the Moon then a Raj Yog is caused and the person lives for 68 years; Changez Khan lived for 68 years.

Varah Mihir states that if the Lagn falls in an even sign and the three natural benefice along with Mars are all powerful to do good then a woman becomes a famous Vedantin (वेदान्तिन) and if the 7th house is tenanted by a cruel planet and the 9th by mild benefice then she will embrace the kind of Sanyas as is indicated by the planet occupying the 9th house. In a Capricorn Lagn nativity that had Rahu in the 5th, Mars in the 6th, Saturn in the 7th, the Sun and the Moon in the 8th, Venus and Mercury in the 9th, Jupiter and Ketu in the 11th despite a powerful Bhagy (भाग्य, luck) Yog obtaining and all three natural benefice being placed ahead of the Sun and the Moon the lady did not receive Diksha (दीक्षा) because Saturn did not aspect the Moon or its dispositor and Mars did not aspect the 9th house.

Jatak Bharnam (जातक भरणम्) reiterates that if Jupiter is either in the 5th house or in the Lagn and the Moon is situated in the 10th house, then the person will be a Tapasavi (तपस्वी, ascetic) i.e., the one who has conquered his senses and who possesses the finest of intelligence, is persevering, hardworking and successful. This is a Yog of a very high order and gives excellent results provided both Jupiter and the Moon gain favourable varg and Nakshatr (वर्ग और नक्षत्र). The significant factor in this Yog-formation is the lord of the sign of exaltation for Dev Guru Vrahaspati-Jupiter, occupying the all-important Karm Sthan-house of action.
राशि के अनुसार रुद्राभिषेक :: सावन मास में रुद्राभिषेक करने से सभी रोग और दोष समाप्त हो जाते हैं।
मेष :- जातक जल में गुड़ मिला कर भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करें या कुमकुम के जल से अभिषेक करें।
वृष :- जातक के लिए दही से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक शुभ फल देता है।
मिथुन :- जातक  गन्ने के रस से भगवान् शिव अभिषेक करें तो जल्दी ही कर्ज से मुक्ति मिलती है।
कर्क :- जातक  घी या धूप से अभिषेक करें।
सिंह :-  जातक  लाल चंदन के जल से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करें।
कन्या :-  जातक  यदि अनेक तरह की औषधियों से अभिषेक करते हैं, तो उनके सभी रोग खत्म हो जाते हैं।
तुला :- जातक को घी और इत्र या सुगंधित तेल से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करना चाहिए।
वृश्चिक :- शहद से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक जातक के लिए शीध्र फल देने वाला माना जाता है।
धनु :-  जातक को दूध में हल्दी मिलाकर भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करना चाहिए।
मकर :- जातक तिल के तेल से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करें तो उन्हें हर काम में सफलता मिलती है।
कुंभ :-  जातक  को नारियल के पानी या सरसों के तेल से भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करना चाहिए।
मीन :- जातक दूध में केसर मिला कर भगवान् शिव का अभिषेक करें।

ग्रह और रत्न :: ग्रहों और रत्नों का घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध है। ये रत्न अपने से सम्बन्धित ग्रह की प्रतिकूलता को समाप्त कर अनुकूल बनाने मे सहयोग देते हैं।

सूर्य :: माणिक्य, मंगल :: मूँगा चंद्र :: मोती, बुध :: पन्ना, वृहस्पति :: पुखराज, शुक्र :: हीरा, शनि :: नीलम, राहु :: गोमेद, केतु :: लहसुनिया।

ग्रहों के वर्ग :: ग्रह मैत्री के आधार पर दो वर्ग हैं :-

प्रथम वर्ग :: सूर्य, चन्द्र, मंगल और वृहस्पति,

द्वितीय वर्ग :: बुध, शुक्र, शनि, राहु और केतु।

रत्नों के वर्ग :: ग्रह मैत्री के आधार पर ही रत्नों के दो वर्ग हैं :-

प्रथम वर्ग :: माणिक्य, मोती, मूँगा और पुखराज,

द्वितीय वर्ग :: पन्ना, हीरा, नीलम, गोमेद और लहसुनिया।

रत्न-धारण का नियम ::

जब एक रत्न से अधिक रत्न धारण करें तो सभी एक ही वर्ग के होने चाहिए। एक वर्ग के रत्न के साथ दूसरे वर्ग के रत्न को नहीं धारण करना चाहिए,अन्यथा हानि हो सकती है।उदाहरण के लिये माणिक्य के साथ मोती, मूँगा पुखराज तो धारण कर सकते हैं, किन्तु हीरा नीलम आदि नहीं धारण करना चाहिए, विशेषकर परस्पर शत्रु-ग्रहों के रत्न एक साथ कदापि नहीं धारण करना चाहिए।
रवि पंचक ::

रवि पंचक जाके नहीं, ताहि चतुर्थी नाहिं।

तेहि सप्तक घेरे रहे, कबहुँ तृतीया नाहिं॥[गोस्वामी तुलसीदासजी]

जिसको रवि पंचक नहीं है, उसको चतुर्थी नहीं आयेगी। उसको सप्तक घेरकर रखेगा और उसके जीवन में तृतीया नहीं आयेगी।

रवि पंचक :- रवि से पाँचवाँ यानी गुरुवार (रवि, सोम, मंगल, बुद्ध, गुरु) अर्थात् जिनको गुरु नहीं है, तो सन्त सद्गुरु के अभाव में उसको चतुर्थी नहीं होगी।चतुर्थी यानी बुध (रवि, सोम, मंगल, बुध) अर्थात् सुबुद्धि नहीं आयेगी। सुबुद्धि नहीं होने के कारण वह सन्मार्ग पर चल नहीं सकता है। सन्मार्ग पर नहीं चलनेवाले का परिणाम क्या होगा? तेहि सप्तक घेरे रहे ' सप्तक क्या होता है? शनि (रवि, सोम, मंगल, बुध, बृहस्पति, शुक्र, शनि) अर्थात् उसको शनि घेरकर रखेगा और 'कबहुँ तृतीया नाहिं।' तृतीया यानी मंगल (रवि, सोम, मंगल)। उसके जीवन में मंगल नहीं आवेगा।

जीवन साथी-विवाह :: जन्म कुण्डली में विवाह के लिये सातवाँ घर और शुक्र को कारक माना जाता है। लेकिन विवाह के लिए सातवाँ, दूसरा, ग्यारहवाँ और पहला भाव भी देखा जाता है, क्योंकि :-
सातवाँ भाव विवाह, पत्नी, पति साझेदारी में कार्य इत्यादि का भाव माना जाता है। इसी भाव से विवाह तथा पति पत्नी के बीच कैसा सम्बन्ध रहेगा की जानकारी मिलती है। इस भाव को कलत्र भाव भी कहा जाता है। इससे ही विवाह तथा विवाह के समय का निर्धारण किया जाता है।
दूसरा भाव परिवार का भाव होता है अतः जब भी शादी होती है तो परिवार में एक सदस्य की वृद्धि होती है। इसलिए यह भाव भी विवाह के लिए महत्त्वपूर्ण हो जाता है।
ग्यारहवाँ भाव व्यक्ति की इच्छा पूर्ति का भाव होता है तथा यह भाव सप्तम से पंचम भाव है। अतः यह भाव भी विवाह के लिए देखा जाता है।
प्रथम भाव कुंडली में सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण भाव होता है क्योंकि इसका प्रतिनिधित्व व्यक्ति स्वयं करता है। सभी प्रकार के सुख यथा शादी, नौकरी आदि का उपभोग जातक स्वयं ही करता है। अतः प्रथम भाव का सम्बन्ध जिस जिस भाव से होगा व्यक्ति अपने जीवन में उस भाव से समबन्धित सुख: व दुःख की प्राप्ति जरूर करेगा। यदि प्रथम भाव का सम्बन्ध कलत्र भाव से है तो जातक को पत्नी सुख की प्राप्ति अवश्य होगी।
जातक का विवाह तब होता है जब उसकी कुण्डली के अनुसार सप्तमेश की दशा या अंतर्दशा सातवें घर में स्थित ग्रहों की दशा या अन्तर्दशा अथवा सातवें घर को देखने वाले ग्रहों दशा अन्तर्दशा में आती है। सप्तम भाव अथवा सप्तमेश बिगड़ा हुआ हो अथवा सप्तम भाव में कोई अशुभ-पाप गृह यथा शनि, मंगल, राहू, केतु और सूर्य मौजूद हों तो विवाह में दिक्क्त पैदा होती है।
पाप ग्रह शादी में देर करवाते हैं और शुभ ग्रह गुरु, शुक्र, बुध और चन्द्र शादी जल्दी करवाते हैं।
कुंडली के सप्तम स्थान में बुद्ध, शुक्र और चन्द्र जल्दी शादी का योग बनाते हैं।
सूर्य के सप्तम में होने से शादी में रुकावट और देरी होती है। मंगल से मांगलिक योग बनता है, जिसके कारण शादी में देर हो सकती है।
अगर कुण्डली में बुध और शुक्र एक साथ सप्तम स्थान में बैठे हों तो शादी 16 से 23 वर्ष की उम्र में हो जाती है।
यदि एक अशुभ ग्रह और एक पाप ग्रह सप्तम भाव में बैठा हो तो भी शादी तय जल्दी होगी परन्तु शादी होते होते 2 वर्ष लग जाते हैं। जितने अधिक ग्रहों का असर सातवें घर पर होगा उतनी जल्दी शादी होगी।
जीवनसाथी का विचार मुख्य रूप से सप्तम भाव के स्वामी तथा उस भाव में स्थित ग्रह के आधार पर किया जाता है।
जन्म कुण्डली में सप्तमेश चतुर्थ, पंचम, नवम अथवा दशम भाव में हाने पर जीवन साथी निश्चित ही अच्छे परिवार से सम्बन्ध रखने वाला होगा तथा सामान्यतः वैवाहिक जीवन भी सुख पूर्वक व्यतीत होगा।
सप्तमेश उच्च होकर केंद्र या त्रिकोण भाव में स्थित है तो जीवन साथी शिक्षित धनवान तथा मान सम्मान से युक्त होगा।
चतुर्थ भाव का स्वामी केन्द्र भाव के स्वामी के साथ युति या दृष्टि सम्बन्ध रखता है तो जीवन साथी व्यवसायी हो सकता है।
सप्तमेश, दूसरे, पंचम, नवम, दशम या एकादश भाव में हो और सप्तमेश चन्द्र, बुध या शुक्र हो तो जीवनसाथी व्यापारी होगा।
चतुर्थ भाव का स्वामी दूसरे अथवा बारहवें भाव में है तो जीवनसाथी नौकरी करने वाला होगा।
सप्तमेश तथा चतुर्थेश नवमांश में उच्च या स्वराशि में हो तथा एक दूसरे से युति या दृष्टि सम्बन्ध बना रहा हो तो जीवनसाथी नौकरी करने वाला तथा उच्चपद पर कार्य करने वाला होगा।
चतुर्थ भाव से शनि का सम्बन्ध बन रहा हो तो जीवनसाथी नौकरी करने वाला होगा।
राहु केतु सप्तम भाव में हो अथवा सप्तमेश षष्टम, अष्टम, द्वादश में हो और साथ में ही नवमांश कुण्डली में भी कमज़ोर हो तो जीवन साथी समान्य नौकरी करने वाला होगा।

AUTHOR OF ASTROLOGY-BHRAGU भृगु संहिता के रचयिता-ब्रह्मा जी के पुत्र भृगु :: वेद-पुराणों में भगवान् ब्रह्मा के मानस पुत्रों का वर्णन है। वे दिव्य सृष्टि के अंग थे। महाप्रलय, भगवान् ब्रह्मा जी के दिन-कल्प की शुरुआत में उनका उदय होता है। वेदों, पुराणों इतिहास को वे ही पुनः प्रकट करते हैं। ब्रह्मा जी के पुत्र भृगु का श्रुतियों में विशेष स्थान है। उनके के बड़े भाई का नाम अंगिरा था। अत्रि, मरीचि, दक्ष, वशिष्ठ, पुलस्त्य, नारद, कर्दम, स्वायंभुव मनु, कृतु, पुलह, सनकादि ऋषि इनके भाई हैं। उन्हें भगवान् विष्णु के श्वसुर और भगवान् शिव के साढू के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। महर्षि भृगु को भी सप्तर्षि मंडल में स्थान प्राप्त है।

भृगु की तीन पत्नियाँ :: ख्या‍ति, दिव्या और पौलमी। पहली पत्नी का नाम ख्याति था, जो दक्ष कन्या थी। ख्याति से भृगु को दो पुत्र दाता और विधाता (काव्य शुक्र और त्वष्टा-विश्वकर्मा) तथा एक पुत्री श्री लक्ष्मी का जन्म हुआ। घटनाक्रम एवं नामों में कल्प-मन्वन्तरों के कारण अंतर आता है। [देवी भागवत के चतुर्थ स्कंध, विष्णु पुराण, अग्नि पुराण, श्रीमद् भागवत] लक्ष्मी का विवाह उन्होंने भगवान् विष्णु से कर दिया था।

आचार्य बनने के बाद शुक्र को शुक्राचार्य के नाम से और त्वष्टा को शिल्पकार बनने के बाद विश्वकर्मा के नाम से जाना गया।

दैत्यों के साथ हो रहे देवासुर संग्राम में महर्षि भृगु की पत्नी ख्याति, जो योगशक्ति संपन्न तेजस्वी महिला थीं, दैत्यों की सेना के मृतक सैनिकों को जीवित कर देती थीं जिससे नाराज होकर श्री हरि विष्णु ने शुक्राचार्य की माता व भृगुजी की पत्नी ख्याति का सिर अपने सुदर्शन चक्र से काट दिया।

दूसरी पत्नी पौलमी :: उनके ऋचीक व च्यवन नामक दो पुत्र और रेणुका नामक पुत्री उत्पन्न हुई। भगवान् परशुराम महर्षि भृगु के प्रपौत्र, वैदिक ऋषि ऋचीक के पौत्र, जमदग्नि के पुत्र परशुराम थे। रेणुका का विवाह विष्णु पद पर आसीन विवस्वान (सूर्य) से किया।

जब महर्षि च्यवन उसके गर्भ में थे, तब भृगु की अनुपस्थिति में एक दिन अवसर पाकर दंस (पुलोमासर) पौलमी का हरण करके ले गया। शोक और दुख के कारण पौलमी का गर्भपात हो गया और शिशु पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा, इस कारण यह च्यवन (गिरा हुआ) कहलाया। इस घटना से दंस पौलमी को छोड़कर चला गया, तत्पश्चात पौलमी दुख से रोती हुई शिशु (च्यवन) को गोद में उठाकर पुन: आश्रम को लौटी। पौलमी के गर्भ से 5 और पुत्र बताए गए हैं।

भृगु पुत्र धाता के आयती नाम की स्त्री से प्राण, प्राण के धोतिमान और धोतिमान के वर्तमान नामक पुत्र हुए। विधाता के नीति नाम की स्त्री से मृकंड, मृकंड के मार्कण्डेय और उनसे वेद श्री नाम के पुत्र हुए।

भृगु के और भी पुत्र थे जैसे उशना, च्यवन आदि। ऋग्वेद में भृगुवंशी ऋषियों द्वारा रचित अनेक मंत्रों का वर्णन मिलता है जिसमें वेन, सोमाहुति, स्यूमरश्मि, भार्गव, आर्वि आदि का नाम आता है। भार्गवों को अग्निपूजक माना गया है। दाशराज्ञ युद्ध के समय भृगु मौजूद थे।

शुक्राचार्य :: शुक्र के दो विवाह हुए थे। इनकी पहली स्त्री इन्द्र की पुत्री जयंती थी, जिसके गर्भ से देवयानी ने जन्म लिया था। देवयानी का विवाह चन्द्रवंशीय क्षत्रिय राजा ययाति से हुआ था और उसके पुत्र यदु और मर्क तुर्वसु थे। दूसरी स्त्री का नाम गोधा (शर्मिष्ठा) था जिसके गर्भ से त्वष्ट्र, वतुर्ण शंड और मक उत्पन्न हुए थे।

च्यवन ऋषि :: मुनिवर ने गुजरात के भड़ौंच (खम्भात की खाड़ी) के राजा शर्याति की पुत्री सुकन्या से विवाह किया। भार्गव च्यवन और सुकन्या के विवाह के साथ ही भार्गवों का हिमालय के दक्षिण में पदार्पण हुआ। च्यवन ऋषि खम्भात की खाड़ी के राजा बने और इस क्षेत्र को भृगुकच्छ-भृगु क्षेत्र के नाम से जाना जाने लगा।

सुकन्या से च्यवन को अप्नुवान नाम का पुत्र मिला। द‍धीच इन्हीं के भाई थे। इनका दूसरा नाम आत्मवान भी था। इनकी पत्नी नाहुषी से और्व का जन्म हुआ। [और्व कुल का वर्णन ब्राह्मण ग्रंथों में, ऋग्वेद में 8.10.2-4 पर, तैत्तरेय संहिता 7.1.8.1, पंच ब्राह्मण 21.10.6, विष्णुधर्म 1.32 तथा महाभारत अनु. 56 आदि में प्राप्त है]

ऋचीक :: पुराणों के अनुसार महर्षि ऋचीक, जिनका विवाह राजा गाधि की पुत्री सत्यवती के साथ हुआ था, के पुत्र जमदग्नि ऋषि हुए। जमदग्नि का विवाह अयोध्या की राजकुमारी रेणुका से हुआ जिनसे परशुराम का जन्म हुआ।

विश्वामित्र :: गाधि के एक विश्वविख्‍यात पुत्र हुए जिनका नाम विश्वामित्र था जिनकी गुरु वशिष्ठ से प्रतिद्वंद्विता थी। परशुराम को शास्त्रों की शिक्षा दादा ऋचीक, पिता जमदग्नि तथा शस्त्र चलाने की शिक्षा अपने पिता के मामा राजर्षि विश्वामित्र और भगवान् शंकर से प्राप्त हुई। च्यवन ने राजा शर्याति की पुत्री सुकन्या से विवाह किया।

मरीचि के पुत्र कश्यप की पत्नी अदिति से भी एक अन्य भृगु उत्त्पन्न हुए जो उनके ज्येष्ठ पुत्र थे। ये अपने माता-पिता से सहोदर दो भाई थे। आपके बड़े भाई का नाम अंगिरा ऋषि था। इनके पुत्र वृहस्पति जी हुए, जो देवगणों के पुरोहित-देव गुरु के रूप में जाने जाते हैं।

भृगु ने ही भृगु संहिता, भृगु स्मृति, भृगु संहिता-ज्योतिष, भृगु संहिता-शिल्प, भृगु सूत्र, भृगु उपनिषद, भृगु गीता आदि की रचना की।

भृगु संहिता त्रिकाल अर्थात् भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान तीनों का समान रूप से प्रामाणिक ब्योरा देती है। भृगु संहिता महर्षि भृगु और उनके पुत्र शुक्राचार्य के बीच संपन्न हुए वार्तालाप के रूप में एक दुर्लभ ग्रंथ है। उसकी भाषा शैली गीता में भगवान् श्री कृष्ण और अर्जुन के मध्य हुए संवाद जैसी है। हर बार आचार्य शुक्र एक ही सवाल पूछते हैं :-

वद् नाथ दयासिंधो जन्मलग्नषुभाषुभम्।

येन विज्ञानमात्रेण त्रिकालज्ञो भविष्यति॥

भार्गव वंश के मूल पुरुष महर्षि भृगु थे जिनको जन सामान्य ॠचाओं के रचिता, भृगुसंहिता के रचनाकार, यज्ञों में ब्रह्मा बनने वाले ब्राह्मण और त्रिदेवों की परीक्षा में भगवान् विष्णु की छाती पर लात मारने वाले मुनि के नाते जानता है। महर्षि भृगु का जन्म प्रचेता ब्रह्म-दक्ष प्रजापति की पत्नी वीरणी के गर्भ से हुआ था। अपनी माता से सहोदर ये दो भाई थे। इनके बड़े भाई का नाम अंगिरा था। इनके पिता प्रचेता ब्रह्मा की दो पत्नियाँ थीं।

महर्षि भृगु के भी दो विवाह हुए, इनकी पहली पत्नी दैत्यराज हिरण्य कश्यप की पुत्री दिव्या थी और दूसरी पत्नी दानवराज पुलोम की पुत्री पौलमी थी। पहली पत्नी दिव्या से भृगु मुनि के दो पुत्र हुए,जिनके नाम शुक्र और त्वष्टा रखे गए। भार्गवों में आगे चलकर आचार्य बनने के बाद शुक्र को शुक्राचार्य के नाम से और त्वष्टा को शिल्पकार बनने के बाद विश्वकर्मा के नाम से जाना गया। इन्हीं भृगु मुनि के पुत्रों को उनके मातृवंश अर्थात दैत्यकुल में शुक्र को काव्य एवं त्वष्टा को मय के नाम से जाना गया है। भृगु मुनि की दूसरी पत्नी पौलमी की तीन संताने हुईं। दो पुत्र च्यवन और ॠचीक तथा एक पुत्री हुई जिसका नाम रेणुका था। च्यवन ॠषि का विवाह शर्याति की पुत्री सुकन्या के साथ हुआ। ॠचीक का विवाह महर्षि भृगु ने राजा गाधि की पुत्री सत्यवती के साथ एक हजार श्यामकर्ण घोड़े दहेज में लेकर किया। पुत्री रेणुका का विवाह भृगु मुनि उस समय विष्णु पद पर आसीन विवस्वान (सूर्य) के साथ किया।

भृगु मुनि की पहली पत्नी दिव्या देवी के पिता दैत्यराज हिरण्यकश्यप और उनकी पुत्री रेणुका के पति भगवान् विष्णु में वर्चस्व की जंग छिड गई। इस लडाई में महर्षि भृगु ने पत्न्नी के पिता दैत्यराज हिरण्य कश्यप का साथ दिया। क्रोधित भगवान् विष्णु जी ने सौतेली सास दिव्या देवी को मार डाला। इस पारिवारिक झगड़े को आगे बढ़ने से रोकने के लिए महर्षि भृगु के पितामह ॠषि मरीचि ने भृगु को नगर से बाहर चले जाने की सलाह दिया और वह धर्मारण्य में आ गए।

मन्दराचल पर्वत पर हो रहे यज्ञ में महर्षि भृगु को त्रिदेवों की परीक्षा लेने के लिए निर्णायक चुना गया। भगवान् शिव की परीक्षा के लिए जब भृगु कैलाश पर्वत पर पहुँचे तो उस समय भगवान् शिव माता पार्वती के साथ विहार कर रहे थे। शिव गणों ने महर्षि को उनसे मिलने नहीं दिया। महर्षि भृगु ने भगवान् शिव को तमोगुणी मानते हुए शाप दे दिया कि आज से आपके लिंग की ही पूजा होगी। भगवान् शिव आदि देव हैं। उन पर किसी के किसी भी श्राप का असर नहीं होता, अपितु श्राप देने वाला स्वयं ही मुसीबत में फँस जाता है।

महर्षि भृगु अपने पिता भगवान् ब्रह्मा के ब्रह्मलोक पहुँचे। वहाँ इनके माता-पिता दोनों साथ बैठे थे। जिन्होंने सोचा पुत्र ही तो है, मिलने के लिए आया होगा। महर्षि का सत्कार नहीं हुआ। तब नाराज होकर इन्होंने भगवान् ब्रह्मा को रजो गुणी घोषित करते हुए शाप दिया कि आपकी कहीं पूजा नही होगी।

श्राप देने वाला व्यक्ति अपने सृजित पुण्य नष्ट कर लेता है। अतः कैसी भी परिस्थिति क्यों न हो मनुष्य को किसी को भी कभी भी श्राप या बद्दुआ नहीं देनी चाहिए और ना ही किसी बुरा सोचना-करना चाहिये। श्राप को होनी-प्रारब्ध समझकर ग्रहण कर लेने और पलटकर श्राप देने से अपने संचित पुण्यकर्म मनुष्य की रक्षा करते हैं।

क्रोध में तमतमाए महर्षि भगवान् विष्णु के श्री धाम पहुँचे। वहाँ भगवान् श्री हरी विष्णु क्षीर सागर में योग निद्रा में थे और माता लक्ष्मी उनके पैर दबा रही थीं। क्रोधित महर्षि ने परीक्षा लेने के लिए उनकी छाती पर पैर से प्रहार किया। भगवान् विष्णु ने महर्षि का पैर पकड़ लिया और पूछा कि मेरे कठोर वक्ष से आपके पैर में चोट तो नहीं लगी। महर्षि के पैर में तीसरी आँख थी जिससे उन्हें भविष्य का ज्ञान हो जाता था। भगवान् विष्णु उनकी इन्तजार कर ही रहे थे। उन्होंने मौके का फायदा उठाकर, उनकी तीसरी आँख मूँद दी। महर्षि को इसका भान-आभास भी नहीं हुआ। परन्तु माँ लक्ष्मी ने उन्हें श्राप दे दिया कि उनके वंश में उत्पन्न ब्राह्मण दरिद्र ही रहें। देवी लक्ष्मी को भृगु का ऐसा करना नहीं भाया और उन्होंने ब्राह्मण समाज को श्राप दे दिया कि उनके वंश-खानदान में मेरा (लक्ष्मी का) वास नहीं होगा और वे दरिद्र बनकर इधर उधर भटकते रहेंगे।

महर्षि भृगु बोले के मैंने यह कार्य देवताओं के कहने पर त्रिदेवों की परीक्षा लेने के लिये किया था। मैंने इसकी माफ़ी भी मान ली है, पर आपने तो मेरे साथ साथ पूरे भार्गव वंश को श्राप दे दिया। अब जो होना था वो हो गया पर मैं अपने ब्राह्मण समाज के लिए ज्योतिष ग्रन्थ का निर्माण करूँगा और जिसके आधार पर वे समस्त प्राणियों के भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान के बारे में बता सकेंगे और दक्षिणा के रूप में धन प्राप्त कर पाएँगे और मेरे ग्रन्थ के ज्ञात किसी भी ब्राह्मण के घर में लक्ष्मी की कमी नहीं आएगी।

भृगु की परीक्षा का आधार पर देवताओं ने देवों में भगवान् श्री हरी विष्णु को सर्वश्रेष्ठ घोषित कर किया। यद्यपि आदि देव भगवान् महादेव ही इस ब्रह्माण्ड में श्रष्टि के मूल हैं। भगवान् शिव की आयु 8 परार्ध तथा भवान ब्रह्मा और भगवान् विष्णु की आयु 2-2 परार्ध है।

कुछ समय पश्च्यात महर्षि भृगु ने ज्योतिष ग्रन्थ लिख दिया परन्तु इसके पश्चात् भृगु को घमण्ड हो गया और वो भगवान् शिव के धाम में चले गए और घमण्ड में माता पार्वती से कहा कि मैंने ऐसा ग्रन्थ लिखा है जिससे किसी भी मनुष्य का भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान मालूम किया जा सकता है। माँ क्रोधित हो गयीं और उन्होंने भृगु को श्राप दे दिया कि तुम मेरे आवास में बिना अनुमति के अन्दर आ गए और अपनी विद्या पर इतना घमण्ड कर रहे हो। इसलिए तुम्हारी सारी भविष्य वाणियाँ सच नहीं होगी।

महर्षि के परीक्षा के इस ढ़ंग से नाराज मरीचि ॠषि ने इनको प्रायश्चित करने के लिए धर्मारण्य में तपस्या करके दोषमुक्त होने के लिए गंगातट पर जाने का आदेश दिया। भृगु अपनी दूसरी पत्नी पौलमी को लेकर वहाँ आ गए। यहाँ पर उन्होने गुरुकुल स्थापित किया। उस समय यहाँ के लोग खेती करना नही जानते थे। महर्षि भृगु ने उनको खेती करने के लिए जंगल साफ़ कराकर खेती करना सिखाया। यहीं रहकर उन्होने ज्योतिष के महान ग्रन्थ भृगुसंहिता की रचना की। कालान्तर में अपनी ज्योतिष गणना से जब उन्हें यह ज्ञात हुआ कि इस समय यहाँ प्रवाहित हो रही गँगा नदी का पानी कुछ समय बाद सूख जाएगा तब उन्होने अपने शिष्य दर्दर को भेज कर उस समय अयोध्या तक ही प्रवाहित हो रही सरयू नदी की धारा को वहाँ मंगाकर गंगा-सरयू का संगम कराया।

भृगु संहिता ज्योतिष का आदि ग्रंथ है अपार श्रद्धा की दृष्टि से देखा जाता है।

महर्षि पराशर के ग्रंथ बृहत्पाराषरहोराषास्त्र में महर्षि भृगु को ही ज्योतिष शास्त्र का आदि प्रवर्तक कहा गया है।इससे स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि भृगु नामक एक प्रकांड ज्योतिषी हुए हैं। इस तरह भृगु ऐसे भविष्यवक्ता और त्रिकालज्ञ थे।

भृगु संहिता में दृषेत शब्द बहुत बार आया है और संस्कृत के इस शब्द का अर्थ या प्रयोग देखने, दिखाई देने और दर्षित होने के संदर्भ में किया जाता है। इससे लगता है कि महर्षि भृगु को भूत और भविष्य स्पष्ट दिखाई देता था। इसमें पूर्वजन्म का विवरण भी है। एक जगह पर आचार्य शुक्र महर्षि भृगु से पूछते हैं :-

पूर्वजन्मकृतं पापं कीदृक्चैव तपोबल।

तद् वदस्य दयासिंधो येन भूयत्रिकालज्ञः॥

अधिकांष स्थलों पर पूर्वजन्म, वर्तमान जन्म तथा आने वाले जन्म का हाल भी दिया गया है। कुछ मामलों में यहांँ तक कहा गया है कि कोई व्यक्ति भृगु संहिता कब, कहाँ, किस प्रयोजन से विश्वास या अविश्वास के साथ सुनेगा। पत्नी की कुंडली के बिना ही सिर्फ पति की कुंडली के आधार पर पत्नी के बारे में व्यापक विवेचन व उसके सही होने की पुष्टि अनेक विद्वानों ने की है। भृगु संहिता में गणनाओं का उल्लेख करते समय वर्ष, महिने और दिन का भी जिक्र आता है। कुछ कुंडलियों में प्रश्नकाल के आधार भी पर गणनाएँ गईं हैं। कहीं-कहीं प्रश्नकर्ता के जन्म स्थान, निवास स्थान, पिता तथा उनके नामों के पहले अक्षरों का भी विवरण मिलता है।

पितृव्यष्च सुखं पूर्ण नागत्रिंषतषत कवेः।

सम्यक् ब्रूमि फलं तत्र पितृव्यष्च महतरम्॥

यह अनुमान लगाना असंभव है कि भृगु संहिता कितने पृष्ठों की है और इसका आकार क्या है। यह दुर्लभ ग्रंथ अरबों वर्ष पूर्व भोजपत्र पर लिखा गया था। प्राचीन अनमोल ग्रंथों को नालंदा विष्वविद्यालय में जला दिया गया था। अब भी कुछ दुर्लभ पांडुलिपियाँ उपलब्ध हैं जिनमें भृगु संहिता, षंख संहिता, सुश्रुत संहिता, चरक संहिता, रावण संहिता आदि सुरक्षित हैं। इनमें भृगु संहिता इतनी विशाल है कि उसे उठाना भी कठिन है।

भृगु संहिता नाम पर अनेकों प्रकाशकों ने पुस्तकें प्रकाशित की हैं जो कि अप्रमाणिक, अनुपयोगी हैं।
